RP: OIF Halberdine [Episode 0] The Halberdine

Fieke opted to hold her voice back from the cheers, just smiling instead. She found the clear confidence and enthusiasm of the rest of the crew to be reassuring. Stromm's booming response was particularly surprising, as she had not expected much more than sarcasm from the big Sergeant by now.
Fieke's smile widened upon hearing a shout in her own language, but the private still didn't add her voice to the cheers.

Isaac groaned slightly during Dyna's explanations. The thought of an indeterminately long stay on a corporate ship combined with potentially encountering a bunch of strange and brutal aliens didn't strike him as an enjoyable voyage. He supposed that it would at least be less boring than standing around and playing rent-a-cop.

He only grimaced at the call for applause, and turned to mutter under his breath at the Abwehran next to him, Rüd.

"Do most security companies go running headlong into hostile war zones, y'think?" Isaac raised his eyebrows, looking sarcastically questioning.

Rüd grinned again. "No, just this one. Why do you think they're so large and influential? Hm? You don't make money playing it safe in this galaxy." He chuckled quietly to himself, recalling a few memories at that. "I think we can expect an interesting ride."

Now that things were settling, the Nightwalker figured now was a good a time as any for a proper introduction. He proffered his lower right hand- it was closer to Isaac's shoulder level- for the customary shake. "Rüd Grülik."

After the.. somewhat lackluster cheer, despite a few good efforts, Dyna got down from her box and Captain Tomoyo made his way forward again. "Allright, everybody, I have one final announcement that has nothing to do with our mission, but for those who will be bored the next few weeks, we would indeed like volunteers for those events posted outside the door. You can sign from any terminal in the ship if you'd like to participate. You are now DISMISSED!" the man called out, tapping the podium in order to signify that he meant it. The Auditorium's speakers went dead and the lights changed from focusing on the podium to making the whole room brighter, and those in the back started filing out, probably heading back to their rooms.

((OOC: You can continue to post a few rounds in here, but we've officially started on Episode one now, so get ready for it.))

Isaac casually shook Rüd's hand as the Captain called things to a close, and smirked slightly.

"Isaac Nolan. Hope you're right about this being an interesting ride."
