OOC Eucharis Discussion

I am hoping to put up a meaty post tonight after work and I'll make sure to provide some more details about the surrounding area.

I don't know, do the Kuvexians actually have teleporting technology? I know their tech base is similar to Yamatai's but that doesn't necessarily mean, the have the same technologies. Somehow I assumed they wouldn't have teleporting technology and therefore not assume an enemy to strike directly at a system at the heart of the station. And since you can't ultimately defend everything, it would make sense to actually defend the periphery against invaders and send troops to crucial systems should they get into danger.

There's been nothing to suggest they have that tech.

@Wes

I guesstimated the location of the hull breach as best I could from photos of the ship and diagrams. As for the network error, that's my understanding of things. Lemme know if it needs to be changed.

Shouldn't we just locate whatever powers the station and blow it up?

That assumes that there is a central power source as common in most scifi for some reason. If there are several redundant power plants, however, that might result in some work. Such design is usual in the warships in the Perry Rhodan novels, which I enjoy a lot.

Did you miss the whole planning and briefing RP where Hanako said, multiple times, why we sent in an away team?

Then I know you know that we're supposed to steal some data that will let us navigate to Kuvexian territory.

To be fair, guys, we didn't exactly finalize the plan very well in the thread. We had people throw up options, and one got some apparent approval. Then we were thrown into the thick of it very fast.

Having Hanako lay out the final plan one last time would have eased some confusion before we were sent into the fire.

If you can't cut power just get to the target computer the infantry are supporting the techs. The main computer is our number 1 priority. Theoretically there should be a breaker system somewhere near the computer core to serve as surge protection.

At this point I believe that objective is simply a lost cause because now we're under fire. If something comes up, or is convenient, or is obvious then that's great but there's no point sweating it so long as we accomplish the main objective.

Sorry for the delay in posting this weekend. I got bogged down with the roleplay review, family visits, and general running of the site. I will make a new GM post as soon as I can. In good news, I requested a chibi artwork for everyone that doesn't already have one. The artist I asked is the one that just did Freyja Yuuki's chibi.

Edit: Artwork has been commissioned and paid for!

Posted! If I missed something, let me know and I'll try to get it added. Thanks everybody for being patient. You guys are the best.

Question before I post: Is the problem with the CFS arrays one that can even be fixed? We carry no replacement parts, and it seems like Hanako has written them off as a loss.

They can be fixed, but it's going to take a spacewalk and a couple hours, and you wouldn't want to stand in front of those projectors while they're turned on.

Also, for clarity: The enemy ships have stopped shooting at us for now since we did an FTL micro-jump. We have a short time before they find and re-target us.
