I request there be a sticky concept buffer thread or even a board whereby a user can whisk through and see unpolished material submitted in rough, discuss it and talk over submission but it is encouraged some scientific grounds for the concept or an "interest" factor be in place.
This isn't a place to stick a ship with a trillion guns and say "OMFG LOLWORSHIP ME!!1".
It seemed like a good idea because so many seem ginger with the Q&A forum which seems more related to "so who's X?" or "When did Y happen?". Not "I had a funky idea. If it's good, I might submit it. Have at it!"
Not fully polished flag-ship ideas but suggestions or odd thoughts which might not be suitable for the setting in their existing form.
Welcome are unpolished submissions for discussion, relevant research and new scientific investigation/material and wishlists (because some of us have always wanted that flash bike for our characters).

Quantological lifeforms:
Strings of matter functioning similarly to bacteria which function and interract with quantum mechanics, a quantological life-form is not a single collection of strings but a colony which act as a group conciousness as mathamatically, it follows that if our neurons compute and the stuff of neurons compute, wouldn't the stuff of the stuff of the stuff of neurons compute?

A life-form that can shift or warp events within reason and proximity as they take place by biasing a quantum wave-form which could potentially have its own adgenda: To go beyond the physical as to their own understanding, energy is the state of being beyond the physical, akin to a sort of spirituality.
Its understanding of reality is vastly different from that of our own.
This was the original concept of the Sourcian, a "hybrid" being what the race manifest themselves as in terms of human-like forms.
A hybrid is the process of a quantalogical life-form's will being infused with a non-quantalogical life-form. It's anatomy and internal organs shift dramatically and it's conciousness is practically over-written.
Within months, a Nepelsian would not have seperate organs to perform it's bodily functions and its original personality would undergo an ego-breakdown.
Theoretically, these things could be used as the "stuff" of quantum computing systems.
NAC substances: Inert life-forms: the evolutionary pre-cursor to the quantological life-form
NAC substances, like quantological life-forms above function at a cellular level with a dramatically different cell structure from carbon based life-forms as we know them.
They could be anything from crystalline structures, rock to a caprace of silk covering oceans and absorbing light as plants do.
NAC substances are not "awake" and posess little or no conciousness beyond animalistic needs. They grow and move quite slowly in most cases, on the same time-scale as plant-life.
They can be "taught" to perform tasks, as animals can, in return for a desired stimulus or to match a programmed behavior "written" by genetic modification.
Practical applications are vast and untapped.
