If this had existed before the present, wouldn't the Star Army have noticed when they made first contact? I am kind of bothered by all your submissions being given such early dates.
In Rp I have made vague references to the star system being heavily fortified. Meaning it could have been assumed that there were star bases and battle stations.
It works better for the writing aspect to give it an earlier date. Like Kai said it simply makes more sense.
Also I did look up the rules that stated "Future" dates are no permitted. Had I seen anything about earlier dates I would have pressed the issue.
I have to agree with Wes Ira, this doesn't make sense. If this existed before, why suddenly have it appear now? Wouldn't it have been a better for this to have been approved along with the race? (Similiar to my plans with my own PC Faction)
