One problem there are no X-RAY particles, X-radiation (composed of X-rays) is a form of electromagnetic radiation
Also I find it hard to believe that starship grade weaponry DR 4 is going to come out of something so tiny 50 mm is only 1.96 inches. Fighter weapon perhaps, but to do the kind of damage you want for a starship the cannon has to be much larger.
