HotelKilo Inactive Member Sep 18, 2016 #22 The Badge of Military Merit wasn't technically discontinued following the American Revolution, but it wasn't awarded between 1783 and 1932. In its place there was the Meritorious Service Citation Certificate, then the wound chevron during WWI.
