How can you determine the time in Hyperspace?

Actual time spent in hyperspace from the ship's point of view may not be the same as the actual time it takes to get from one place to another. Often, crew may spend hours in transit, but arrive at the time they departed.

How can we determine how much subjective time it will take from the crew's perspective?

For example the Plumeria travels at 1 LY per Minute externally, but how much time takes place inside. After all if a ship is using Hyperspace to get to a battle, they need to known when they are going to come out so they can troops suited up ready for launch, weapons manned etc.

I imagine that if this topic worked, it'd probably be tested via multiple FTL/Hyperspace jumps between set destinations and times, chalking up average times based on distance, time spent in travel aboard ship, and time spent before arriving. Considering communications occur at FTL speeds, this would be a very simplistic and do-able experiment which could ultimate lead to any nation roughly equating the time it takes for them to jump between a small distance to their max distance on a cone-like scale.

TLDR: They'd do a shit-ton of testing and figure out how to set their systems to account for any jump length based off it.
