How do I get my char into a namespace?

Well, the character name space is character:

So, if you link to [[character:suzuka_yukari]], follow that think and that's where your character goes. Make sure to update the backlinks if you move it.

Link to? Do I need to make a whole new page though, like search for "character:Suzuka Yukari" and create the page? And how do I update backlinks? Are those the links other people have to Yukari?

Yeah, like from the list of Star Army characters.

Do I need to make a whole new page though, like search for "character:Suzuka Yukari" and create the page?
Yes, you will be creating a new page, although I suggest the link method because it cuts down server load and also ensures there's no orphan pages.

And how do I update backlinks? Are those the links other people have to Yukari?
Yes, backlinks are the links that link to a page. To update them, use the Backlinks link at the bottom of the OLD Yukari page and then edit each page on the list so they point to the NEW Yukari page.

How would I then delete the old Yukari page? Is there an option?
In the edit window, select all of the old stuff, delete it, and then save the page as empty.

OK, I tried it by searching for the page, then creating it ... but I ended up with all red links (searched for character:Suzuka Yukari and then all the links were suddenly backed with character:). So that didn't work.

To specify links in the root directory, just use a colon with no namespace. Example: [[:list_of_active_plots]]

This entire conversation should be wiki-fied somehow, as so many people have gone through IIRC asking how to do this. Is there a way this could be on the wiki or is it already?
