I can't reply to a PM for some reason

Konoka Miyazawa

Inactive Member
Someone sent me and a couple other people a PM, and when I hit "reply", first it didn't automatically put the person who I was replying to under "To" (as in, who I'm sending a PM to). Second, when I tried to put their name under "to", it said that person "doesn't receive new PMs".
But that makes no sense, since
a) They PM'd ME, so obviously they want me to PM them back,
and
b) It's not a "new" PM. It's a reply to an existing one.
Can someone help me fix this?

Who is the person? Its possible that something is up with their ID.

When you go and access the User Control Panel, you can 'edit global settings' in the profile options.

That's where you have a bunch of radio buttons, including "Allow users to send you private messages". This means that said person would be unable to receive PMs unless the sender was an admin or a moderator.

Mine was set to 'off'. That probably would explain why you can't send messages to me, Konoka. It was probably turned off when Wes closed my account during my hiatus.

Thanks for bringing it up; I corrected the situation so everything should be good now on that angle. Hopefully I didn't miss anyone else trying to reply to me due to this hiccup.
