Wanna skip the media manager? Apparently a plugin exists that would make adding images to a wiki page as simple as CTRL+V.

In most cases images tend to live in the namespaces they're used in and for spaces like characters the images can and already are occasionally moved by mods into the year-and subfolders so it shouldn't be an issue.

Wouldn't this cause issues with images pasted onto WIP pages not being viewable after the page is approved, or do the images move with the article?
 
A wiki admin would need to move the WIP images at the time of approval--but that's an issue that we already deal with.
