Replace battery.
Ensure that weapon still cycles.
Replace magazine.

Replaceable Parts and components:

Accelerator coils, power leads, heat shields

History:

More a crew serviced weapon then a traditional anti material rifle, the AM27 is designed to deal with light/medium targets on the battlefield. The raw velocity of the projectile makes it impractical to fire from anything but a fixed mounting, but gives it an effectively instant time-on-target out to the horizon. The AM27 draws most of its’ destructive power from kinetic energy, impacting at sea level in excess of Mach 10.

Okay here's the problems I see:

1. Why would you use a sabot in a rail gun? Sabots are there to catch gas pressure. This makes no sense.

2. Caliber doesn't match the round size. Makes no sense.

3. Wouldn't a 20mm round in a rail gun produce way too much recoil to make it feasible for soldier to use?

1. The sabot allows for a larger armature, which means that you get better heat dispersion and lower electrical resistance (which means more efficiency), without using a massive bullet. Also, though it doesn't come up here, it would allow you to use non-conductive penetrator.

2. Typo. It's a holdover from an earlier version of the weapon that I must have missed. *FIXED*

3. From the shoulder, yes. It's intended to be fired from a tripod mounting.

4. What faction is this for?

5. Can we get some artwork?

4. Godwin Armories is an independent weapons manufacturer based on Nepelisia. They sell to anyone who can afford their prices and is eligible to buy the weapons under the legal system of the planet the weapons are sold on.

5. Still working on it. First week of class is a little hectic.

I don't suppose it is at that. I guess I just picked it up somewhere and added it to my mental list of 'distinctive sounding names'.
