Dignitaries and diplomatic delegates sent to attend the Yamatai Star Empire's biennial International Relations Conference had been arriving to orbit above Planet Yamatai aboard an impressive assortment of interstellar transports from whichever part of the Kikyo Sector and universe beyond they hailed from for the better part of a week now. Sent by their home governments to negotiate and mingle among their peers in pursuit of forging peaceful partnerships and understanding, each emissary was provided with ample time to settle in prior to the Conference's start and prepare for the coming discussions to take place in Reikan Park, an inspired hub of intergalactic discourse just a couple dozen kilometers north of the Star Empire's capital Kyoto.

On this evening, the park's centrally located conference center was on the cusp of coming alive. Its grounds were already abuzz as the multitudes of diplomats, aides, and security officials strolled on elegant winding paths beneath gnarled Yamataian yew and maple trees toward the scheduled meet and greet that was set to kick off the multi-day talks. At intervals a few meters apart Reikan Park's security cadre, supplemented by a temporary garrison of Rikugun legionary, stood impressively vigilant against any threats. It was a clear and crisp spring evening with the stars and Yamatai's twin moons, one green and one white, bathing stellar light down across the manicured lawns, streams, and greenery that dominated its landscape—as well as the multifarious architecture of those alien embassies set up within the park's walled boundaries.

In an operations room off the conference center's main hall, Ketsurui Aiko waited with steely patience alongside liaisons from the Yamataian government, National Police, intelligence services, and the Star Army itself. She'd been tasked by her government and fellow Ketsurui Clan members with organizing the event, as well as be on hand to assist with any diplomatic necessities required of her, and was confident in the IRC's security and logistical details as the summit loomed mere minutes away. With guests set to arrive at any moment, including Empress Himiko and Premier Ketsurui-Shinjuku Hanako, Aiko sent a signal for attendants to open the conference center's doors when the first ambassadors and attachés approached.

Then Aiko herself stepped out of the ops station to join the others on this first evening of statecraft. Her iridescent mantle of raven black hair that trailed down past her knees and flowed behind her as she walked was adorned with a cluster of freshly picked bellflowers from Reikan Park's gardens. The pristine command white panel of her Type 35 Star Army uniform was only decorated with her Chusa's rank pin above a single Service Award ribbon with an Order of the Blazing Sun medal affixed around her neck.

The International Relations Conference of YE 46 had thus commenced.

OOC Notes
Welcome to the YE 46 International Relations Conference! This RP is open to approved characters who could serve in a diplomat role or who are directly assisting such characters. Reikan Park is located in a safe zone where violence is not permitted in RP.
The International Relations Conference was a huge event, inside the main conference hall attendees included Sentators Anslen Volontany. The two discourse part senators were talking, but seemed open for others to join them. Taisho Fletcher was talking with other military officers, particularly from the Hidden Sun Clan and getting a sense for them. The Interstealler Patrol had a delegation as well, with Stratigos Euryxanthus talking to other system defence forces. Tiger Aparallactus, the Govornnor of Essia, was talking to other governors and administrators. Ranga Havard was talking to ailen diplomats about some of the topics that were to be discussed at the confrence.

This would have been the second time that Khelas Nascen had been to Yamatai, the governor who had met with the Empress and negotiated Shurista's entry to the Yamatai Star Empire. Since then, she had been busy making several unpopular but necessary decisions. She did not necessarily like being away from her office, but it felt necessary. She dismissed her retinue, shrugging the fluffed cloak of her home as she slipped into the conference area to seek street food and Ranga.

It did not take long for a third member of the Discourse party to find Senator Volontany. A silverskinned man of a mere forty years or so, not the great red-blooded giant that had amused and joked and annoyed in the Senate chambers called out that "This was not what I meant when I said wake up a new man!"

Shretas's final moments had been interrupted by a body transfer into something younger, but still visibly him, and without the clothes from Shurista that would fit him now came in simple and inexpensive Yamataian winter clothes that did not seem appropriate for his station. Until one remembered he was Senti and their culture holds a great overlap between apathy of station specific clothing and utilitarian dress. "I'm stuck with you people for another three centuries! I've had my children, myriad fat babies! And I'm still figuring out what to do now that those beautiful nurses who wrestled me into my own bed last week are looking me in the eye. If you see me playing in traffic, mind ya business."

Dusali Kherras, the doctor who had approved his ST, rolled her eyes at her superior's antics, patting him on the shoulder as she broke off from the group of Shuristans to head for the various expos that would inevitably pop up from the conference. She was personally interested in medical technology, but her task here was to explore the various technologies and their applications. "Don't mind the Senator too much. He's in the middle of an existential crisis. He'll be fine in a few days. And if he dies again, I give you permission to put him in something smaller, squishier, and of a different gender until he gets the point. Whether that stops at mini neko or pygmy Separa'Shan, I don't know. But he is far more useful in his current seat than as new burial steel furnishings for the office."

Taiyou Hoshi stood with a straight back and a stoic expression that was almost uncharacteristic to the usually chipper Nekovalkyrja and captain of the YSS Kaiyō II. Like the last IRC, she was wearing a formal white Type 23 over her lithe frame. Unlike the last IRC conference, she kept her six rows of medals pinned neatly on a bright crimson ceremonial sash swept across her shoulder and chest to meet at her hips. Shorn short was her sky-like hair, its white tips ending before her shoulders even began as she nodded, splaying the small ends out as she shook hands with a Nepleslian that stepped away from the diminutive captain after speaking with her.

"Kaiyo crewmen, I'm going to need someone to assist on the grounds of Poku Saeruo Degonjo Kavoráy Rouka, the Hidden Sun Clan's embassy here at Reikan Park. Just heard reports that a Yamataian is picking flowers at the Poku-Rya'ta's private gardens and the groundskeeper has not been able to stop them." Hoshi spoke in her digital mind to those of her people that were spread about the park helping.

Out loud, the captain was much less severe in her tone as she said a warm welcome to a passerby.

The Starship Diplomat's Resolve, a sleek vessel renowned for its speed and diplomatic prowess, was a beacon of the Mining Guild's commitment to interstellar relations. As it hurtled through the vast expanse of space at warp speed, its destination set for the Yamatai system, anticipation crackled in the air.

At the heart of this mission was Ambassador Alice Sursilvan, a distinguished figure within the Mining Guild's Diplomatic Corps. With her keen intellect and unwavering resolve, she was entrusted with the crucial task of representing the Mining Guild at the prestigious International Relations Conference.

Within the tranquil confines of the ship's observation area, Ambassador Sursilvan stood, a commanding presence amidst the hum of activity. Cradling a steaming cup of coffee in her hands, she gazed out at the shimmering panorama of stars that streaked past the observation windows. Though her outward demeanor remained composed, her ears, a subtle indicator of her body' heightened senses, betrayed a faint twitch of curiosity as she observed the environmental fluctuations of warp travel.

For Ambassador Sursilvan, this moment served as a brief respite amid the whirlwind of diplomatic endeavors. As she savored the rich aroma of her coffee, her mind buzzed with anticipation for the challenges and opportunities that awaited her on the diplomatic stage. With each passing moment, her determination to uphold the Mining Guild's principles of cooperation and understanding burned ever brighter, fueling her resolve as she journeyed towards the Yamatai system and the pivotal role that awaited her at the International Relations Conference.

"Madam Ambassador, we are about to exit warp momentarily." a feminine synthesized voice spoke to her left, as suddenly, the view of warp shifted, to that of the Yamatai system, and the capital of the noble Yamatai Star Empire. Alice has come a long way from the New Dusk Conclave to this nation.

Startled slightly by the sudden interruption, Ambassador Sursilvan turned towards the source of the synthesized voice, acknowledging the ship's AI with a nod of gratitude. With a sense of anticipation tinged with reverence, she watched as the swirling vortex of warp transitioned seamlessly into the majestic vista of the Yamatai system.

Before her eyes stretched the grandeur of the Yamatai Star Empire, its capital world looming in the distance like a beacon of civilization amidst the cosmic expanse. For Ambassador Sursilvan, this moment marked not just the culmination of her journey from the New Dusk Conclave but also a testament to the interconnectedness of galactic diplomacy.

As she beheld the splendor of the Yamatai capital, a surge of emotion welled within her. From the humble beginnings of her diplomatic career to this pivotal moment on the cusp of engaging with one of the most influential nations in the galaxy, Ambassador Sursilvan reflected on the significance of her role as a bridge between cultures and civilizations.

With a renewed sense of purpose, she straightened her posture, steeling herself for the challenges and opportunities that lay ahead. Drawing upon the lessons learned from her past experiences and the guidance of the Mining Guild's principles, Ambassador Sursilvan prepared to embark on the next chapter of her diplomatic journey, ready to foster understanding and cooperation between the Mining Guild and the noble Yamatai Star Empire.

As the doors to the observation area parted, Ambassador Sursilvan turned her attention towards the synthetic assistant and her accompanying bodyguard androids. Their presence was a reassuring reminder of the Mining Guild's commitment to her safety and the success of her diplomatic mission.

"Thank you," she replied with a nod, acknowledging the assistant's promptness and professionalism. With a sense of purposeful determination, she set her coffee aside and moved to join them, her gaze lingering momentarily on the panoramic view of the Yamatai system before her departure.

Stepping into the corridor, Ambassador Sursilvan was flanked by the silent, imposing figures of the bodyguard androids, their sleek frames exuding an aura of steadfast protection. With the synthetic assistant leading the way, they made their way towards the waiting shuttle, a beacon of hope and opportunity amidst the vastness of space.

As she prepared to descend to the planet's surface, Ambassador Sursilvan's mind buzzed with anticipation for the diplomatic endeavors that awaited her. With the support of her dedicated team and the unwavering resolve of the Mining Guild behind her, she was ready to navigate the intricacies of interstellar politics and forge meaningful connections with the leaders of the Yamatai Star Empire.

Alice was escorted to the shuttle bay, and was soon seated inside, and as Ambassador Sursilvan settled into her seat within the shuttle, a sense of anticipation mingled with a quiet resolve. Surrounded by the sleek interior of the vessel, she took advantage of the brief respite to immerse herself in the intricacies of Yamataian customs and traditions.

Pulling up a volumetric display on her Geist, Ambassador Sursilvan delved into the rich tapestry of Yamataian culture, meticulously studying the nuances of their social protocols and ceremonial rites. Each flicker of information provided insight into the values and beliefs that underpinned the Yamatai Star Empire, offering her a deeper understanding of the society she was about to engage with.

With diligent focus, she also dedicated time to familiarizing herself with the nuances of the Yamataian language, despite the likelihood that Trade would prevail at the International Relations Conference. For Ambassador Sursilvan, the effort to grasp even the basics of Yamataian speech was not merely a formality but a gesture of respect towards her hosts, a testament to her dedication to fostering genuine connections across cultural divides.

As she absorbed the complexities of Yamataian culture and language, Ambassador Sursilvan's determination to approach the upcoming diplomatic proceedings with humility and grace only grew stronger. With each passing moment, she reaffirmed her commitment to representing the Mining Guild with the utmost professionalism and integrity, ready to navigate the delicate dance of interstellar diplomacy with tact and diplomacy.

As Ambassador Sursilvan gazed out through the shuttle's windows, her eyes drank in the breathtaking vista of the Yamatai Star Empire's surface. The approaching evening cast a gentle glow upon the landscape, painting it in hues of amber and gold. Compared to the rugged, worlds of the New Dusk Conclave, the natural beauty of Yamatai's terrain was a sight to behold, captivating her with its serene majesty.

With a sense of reverence for the planet's unique charm, Ambassador Sursilvan watched as the shuttle descended gracefully towards the landing pad, guided by the steady hands of its pilot. As the vessel touched down with a soft thud, she felt a surge of anticipation, knowing that she was about to embark on a journey that held the promise of meaningful dialogue and cooperation between civilizations.

Stepping out of the shuttle alongside her loyal android bodyguards, Ambassador Sursilvan was met by a figure adorned in the traditional attire of the Yamatai Star Empire—a Nekovalkyrja resplendent in a graceful kimono. With a respectful bow, the Nekovalkyrja extended a warm welcome to the Ambassador, ushering her towards the International Relations Conference with an air of gracious hospitality that echoed the customs of Yamatai.

Returning the bow with equal respect, Ambassador Sursilvan offered a sincere smile, acknowledging the Nekovalkyrja's gesture of welcome. As she fell into step beside her host, she felt a sense of excitement and determination coursing through her veins. With each step towards the conference hall, she embraced the opportunity to forge connections, build bridges, and pave the way for a future of cooperation and understanding between the Mining Guild and the noble Yamatai Star Empire.

YE 46.3 Yamatai System

A foundation of trust had long been established between the Norians and Yamatai. While a sizable population of Norians now resided in Tsenlan, their restored parent nation had pledged to uphold the peace and cooperation that had endured since the Chaos Hive War—a testament to the enduring bonds between the two realms. It was this trust that led the United Norian Imperium to accept the invitation to attend the IRC, engaging in discussions that spanned across galaxies. However, the Norians were cautious not to divulge their origin from another universe, a secret closely guarded even among those residing in Tsenlan and the highest ranks of the Empire.

Positioned near Luna Bianca, the U.N.N. Daelan, one of the United Norian Imperium's newly commissioned Yunaesa-Class Dreadnoughts alongside the familiar Tiacyatho-Class, the U.N.N Narsho, and its sister ships, awaited to facilitate the smooth transit of their delegation.

Reikan Park, Yamatai

The timing of the International Relations Conference couldn't have been worse for the Norians, with political turmoil unfolding back home. It was evident to fellow Norians that it was Nira Eitan who emerged from the shuttle, not his nephew Tetsuya. The former Jol'Aestaesys remained hospitalized on Noria following the attempted coup and IDE manipulation orchestrated by the Quaen. Nira's intervention had thwarted the plot, his vigilant eye focused on his own Ysi.

Nira Eitan, towering and imposing, effortlessly commanded attention as the Jol'Aestaesys of Noria. His striking blue hair framed features that appeared sculpted by divine hands. Despite his age, Nira exuded charisma and allure, drawing admiring glances from all who beheld him. Opting for a sleek U.N.N-style uniform over traditional attire, its black panels accentuated his imposing presence. Adorned with symbols of power representing the Imperium, the U.N.N, and the esteemed ruling Eitan Ysi, his attire underscored his allegiance and status in Norian society. Stepping off the shuttle, he gallantly offered his hand to the woman behind him, assisting her descent.

Beside him stood a figure of ethereal beauty, her platinum blonde hair cascading in waves around her. Her piercing blue eyes held a depth that could captivate hearts with a single glance, framed by delicate features reminiscent of celestial beings. Triple pointed ears graced her head, lending an otherworldly quality to her appearance, while elegant ridges adorned the bridge of her nose, enhancing her graceful countenance. Clad in a sleek black dress, she moved with the fluidity of a dancer, each step a testament to her innate grace and poise. Every gesture exuded a quiet elegance, speaking volumes of her refined sophistication. In her presence, one couldn't help but feel a sense of awe, as if in the company of a celestial being descended from the heavens themselves.

Ahead of their arrival, Nira had sent word that the delegation had been revised, now consisting of himself, Aynu Velaetus—a special diplomat—and the Imperial Diplomatic Advisor Lynira Aucari. As they disembarked from the shuttle, Nira adjusted his posture and walked next to Aynu. Despite her non-Norian status, they communicated seamlessly through Vesper.

//"This will be interesting, my emperor,"// Aynu remarked.

Nira smiled at her observation. //"Such a beautiful world. It will be interesting—events like this always have some kind of drama. Hopefully, it will not stem from what we have to propose."//

Tsenlan Delegation

There had been a last minute adjustment in the delegation that would be representing the Imperial State of Tsenlan at the International Relations Conference. A formal notice of the change had been sent ahead of time so as to alleviate potential issues. Those attending would be the new Head of State, Ihari Eitan - a VIP, and Vulre Akhai - Shadowguard. Due to the nature of the event security had been heightened at all Tsenlan Quorum facilities, with additional personnel for cultural interest and security purposes on hand at the Tsenlan embassy.

Aelya Eitan, charming and vibrant, seamlessly adjusted to the position she now found herself in as Aester of Tsenlan. Only a small group of people outside of herself and Senator Cheol Eitan were aware of the change, as he had decided his time best devoted to duties in the Senate of Yamatai. Her alluring visage framed by fiery red hair seemed as if it were created by chaos itself. Given the formality of the situation she opted to wear a slim-fitting black Aest Vyrdi lined with gold details. Aelya exited the shuttle with a calm and composed demeanor, indicative of her focused mental state.

After the Aester had disembarked two other members of her delegation followed closely behind. A white haired Norian with burning red eyes that bore an eerie resemblance to those of Aelya walked in silence, wearing an outfit identical to the aforementioned leader. Vulre walked quietly next to the striking white haired woman, a required, yet hopefully unnecessary member of the delegation. "Tyraes, are we to expect some level of theatrics at this event?" Ihari communicated wordlessly through vesper. "Expect anything and everything Pandraes." Aelya responded in kind. In the back of her mind she hoped that this would go much smoother than other interactions she had heard of through Tetsuya and Cheol.

Will post for Lynira and Anisa seperately.

It wasn’t long before Volontany was joined by a breathtakingly beautiful Patrician with fair skin, blonde hair, eyes the color of steel, and wings the color of snow. She was Karael Malarch, the Senatorial Legate of the Elysian Celestial Empire, and she was clad in an elegantly-wrapped teigha with an amethyst outer layer, a cobalt middle layer, and a cloud-colored inner layer; beneath it was a white-hued iyko, while above it was a very expensive ivory-hued and violet-hemmed soh’k’toh. As always, she was wearing her gold necklace (with a twenty-four carat gold pendant, which contained a fifty-carat diamond surrounded by a constellation of two sapphires, two spinels, two rubys, an opal, and an emerald); though her expression was its usual neutral self thanks to hundreds upon hundreds of hours spent in the vicious arena that was the Elysian Senate, it was clear to anyone familiar with her that she was… displeased - and the reason why became quite apparent once she began to quietly speak in that velvety-yet-steely voice of hers. “Greetings, Senator Volontany. It’s quite a shame that Seinosuke was conveniently voted out of office on the eve of this conference; given what happened with Feyani earlier this year, in fact, it could even be argued that someone highly-placed in Yamatai’s government or military is abusing their authority to pursue a personal vendetta against the Iemochi clan…” - a pause as the volume of the Legate’s voice returned to normal - “…but enough about what is merely an unconfirmed and hopefully unfounded personal theory of mine. How has Essia been faring these past few months?

Conference Center

Walking towards Ketusrui Aiko came a familiar sight to the princess and any other Kaiyo crewmen, at this point. Her neat A-frame hair sparkled in colors of seafoam and navy underneath the conference hall's splendid lights as she looked to Aiko, then back at the people around them filtering about this year's IRC. Despite being the Kaiyo's MEGAMI, Boss still bowed at a forty-five degree angle that she held for an enduring number of seconds. Having shown her reverence adequately, she sidled up close to Aiko and only let her concern slip out from her tone of voice while she retained a cheery countenance on her tanned face.

"I believe I have committed a social faux pas, Chusa," Boss began. "I offered assistance to one of the members of the Nepleslian delegation because they looked to be struggling with bringing some luggage to their embassy and said as much. I am here specifically to render aid to the diplomats and, yet, my offering to do so seemed to spark a sort of contention and strife amongst the delegation in which this particular member received hostility and torment. Though I did not partake, the cause of their suffering was no doubt my doing."

"I have worked with Nepleslians often in my career and seen them take aid from you dozens of times, Aiko-chusa." She clasped her hands in front of her, holding in her worry. "But on such an important date, I may have ruined this whole conference for at least one diplomat."

Conference Center

Aiko had only just finished happily shaking hands with some grinning dignitary when Boss approached. The Ketsurui was glad to see her MEGAMI companion even though the worried AI girl came with supposedly ill tidings regarding some interaction with a Nepleslian; it turned out that elite government functionaries were as giddy to meet Aiko as common Yamataian citizens were, so the familiarity of Boss delivering news of her amusing misunderstanding was quite welcome.

"He was simply intimidated by your strength," Aiko replied, a more genuine smile overtaking her already cheery diplomatic disposition. "You should not worry about it so much. Their time was not ruined, I am sure. Perhaps you should leave William and his men to deal with their fellow Nepleslians going forward, though."

And indeed there were Nepleslian soldiers on hand as part of this year's security detail. Along with Reikan Park's standing complement of Yamatai Security Agency officers, Aiko had brought in the Rikugun legion she so often worked with to supplement as an honor guard contingent for the conference. Part of that esteemed legion was a whole company of ID-SOL Marines on exchange, so Aiko had enthusiastically allowed them to join in defending international peace alongside the Star Army soldiers they had waged interstellar war with many times before. Leading those Nepleslian "Berserkers" was the Sky Marshal's own son, the NSMC Captain William Sanders, creating a truly impressive show of Kikyo Sector cooperation for diplomatic visitors from all over the galaxy.

"Have you seen Wil by chance?" Aiko asked Boss. She spied a sharply dressed attendant wearing blue slacks and a matching waistcoat over a white shirt passing by, who carried ginger-lime crab cakes and sesame crusted scallops with a yuzu-honey glaze on a transparent purple tray rimmed with shining silver—only a small selection of the snacks provided tonight on request from Takeda House—and gave an approving nod. "We should find him and figure out if he convinced Gaelan to come himself. I am sure Hanako and Himiko would be joyed to meet him if he did make the trip," she added, smirking mischievously. "Plus, the Sky Marshal needs to hear from me in person what disputes his son has caused between our nations."

Wilson J. Tybault Center
Outside the towering Nepleslian Embassy complex stood three ID-SOLs in cleanly pressed NSMC dress uniforms. "Look at all those shiny metals. If someone walked by with a magnet, you'd fly away, captain." Commander Yuri Sokolov remarked. "Oh look, he has a Blood Ribbon too! Probably for doing something stupid." Master Sergeant Dmitri Sokolov added. "I swear, one of these days, I am going to assist in getting both of you a Blood Ribbon..." Captain William Sanders replied in a low growl. There was a reason William had multiple awards that none of his comrades had. While he was still a Yamatain citizen, he had managed to rack up several civilian medals for valor while he 'served' on the Kaiyo with his adoptive mother. Normally, they remained with his personal effects. However, because this was the IRC, he was strongly advised to wear his Yamataian awards. And one does not refuse the Premier, especially since he was William's biological father.

Before Dmitri could reply, Yuri bellowed, "Attention on deck!" The trio instantaneously snapped a textbook perfect salute as the Nepleslian Sky Marshal, Gaelan Sanders, stepped out of the Wilson J. Tybault Center. "If I remember correctly, captain, that Blood Ribbon was awarded for you doing something stupid." The leader of Nepleslia remarked, a smirk touching the corner of his lip. "At ease, gentleman." At the command, the three relaxed. William turned to the Sokolov brothers, "Why don't the pair of you be useful for once and go to the command center and oversee security. I will go with the Sky Marshal." Knowing better than to talk back with the Premier present, the two saluated and hastely beat a retreat to the security center, leaving William and Gaelan alone.

"It's been a while, William. I hope you have been managing to stay out of trouble?" Gaelan asked as the pair began their walk to the conference center. "Do you really want to know the answer to that question, sir?" William replied, his own smirk forming. "Not if it's going to give me a headache." The Sky Marshal chuckled in response.

As the Sky Marshal and his sole escort entered the ground, William managed to catch sight of Aiko and Boss with his enhanced vision. He was also able to read her lips from this distance and groaned audibly. "What?" Gaelan mused, looking up at his son. "It's Princess Aiko. She's gonna rat on me." He explained, his one golden eye returning to blue as he turned off the enhanced vision. Without another word, the Premier made his way over to the aforementioned princess at a relaxed pace. "It's gonna be a long day..." William grumbled as he followed after the Sky Marshal.

Anslen smiled at Shretas's antics, "Long as we can teach old dogs new tricks, everything will be just fine. Oh, wait, I forgot who we were talking about." He joked with his fellow senators.

"Mochi's snap election was a surprise to everyone. He was working with the refugees and getting to know them, but it's understandable why they went for someone they knew." Anslen said. "Essia is growing, we have a lot of young people. A lot more than people estimated we would have." He nodded towards the Interstellar Patrol contingent in their blue and silver uniforms. "Our defense forces are growing rapidly and are gaining combat experiance that their diffusing through their organization. So how are Elysia and Shurista? Hopefully still in once piece?" He asked.

> Aiko, Boss, William, and Gaelan

It was hard to miss the Sky Marshal and his towering ID-SOL son as they appeared and marched their way through the multitude of officials from every corner of the Kikyo Sector and beyond. Their strong and imposing presence in Nepleslian green was a great testament to the Democratic Imperium's might. And for Ketsurui Aiko was, even more than a sight to be revered, a happy moment that made her bright scarlet eyes sparkle and catch the conference hall's well-curated illumination in a way that made starry points of light dance within them. William was like a brother to Aiko, of course, with the two having met within a day of her creation. And so, despite not having seen Gaelan very many times at all, she greatly adored the Sky Marshal and hurried over to meet the Nepleslians with Boss in tow.

"Welcome to Yamatai, Sky Marshal!" Aiko said in a way that was probably more enthusiastic than it should have been for the moment. She gave a deep bow after she greeted him. "Wil," she acknowledged to her friend, still sounding cheery toward him, too. "I was worried that you would not grace the Empress and Premier Hanako with your presence, and may have preferred to send Admiral De Luca or another proxy again. You have the Star Empire's regards, and very much my own."

Other than the big smile that showed off her sharp Nekovalkyrja teeth, the Ketsurui Clan princess was sure to otherwise contain her excitement. Nonetheless, she tightly clasped both hands in front of her thighs. For Aiko, it had been even longer since she'd been able to hang out with William's dad than it had been for William—and promised to be yet more brief than her last visit to meet him on the Nepleslian flagship Southpaw during Victory Day in YE 43—so she quite intended to make the most of her time before Gaelan's attention was grabbed by her government's leaders. Aiko had to act quickly if she wanted to make William blush.

"I am pleased William is with you now, Gaelan," she continued, her toothy grin looking a little too sly for the beauty of her graceful face. "You should know, he failed to eliminate more Mishhuvurthyar than my soldiers on our last few missions despite promising to do so. He did not even attempt to throw his life away to best us," she continued, though she fully knew he did and sent the younger Sanders a telepathic snicker to his mindware. "I would hate to think that service in the NSMC has made him soft but here we are. Perhaps you should send more Marines to keep us both company in our fights."

Her final words weren't an attempt at real diplomacy or anything of the sort and, as usual, Aiko's humor probably amused her more than it did anyone else. But she quite enjoyed jousting with William in one way or another, just as he did with her, whether it was with bokken swords in the dojo or with words in a power armor bay—or here to his father the Sky Marshal of Nepleslia at the sector's most renowned diplomatic summit.

So how are Elysia and Shurista? Hopefully still in once piece?" He asked.

"Existential horror aside, Shurista is well. Our economy is booming, and the Essian Monetary Exchange has been invaluable and has made significant progress in the Water Credit to KS exchange. Though we are still having issues with the crop blights and an increase in missing persons reports recently. Seeing Shosho Kilborn make Governor Nascen cry was priceless, so there is some light in these times. She was always a bit of a zealot. The first of Shurista's defense fleet is nearing completion of her restoration. Though I hated those vessels, they are better for hunting Yamatai's enemies than rotting in historic berths." Shretas gave a small chuckle. "Also, remind me to take Dusali's knife. She went against three hundred years of ingrained beliefs in me to put me in this body."

Turning to the other newcomer, he offered a smile and a small bow. "Legate Malarch, I presume. Your name came up several times in my research for handling the expansion of Shuristan trade routes. I hope your people enjoy fine handmade goods as much as some others. Though I don't forsee major trade for several more years. Mostly our fault."

The Nekovalkyrja in a Kimono, spoke to the Mining Guild Ambassador saying, "my name is Yoko Takasashi, Ambassador, I have arranged for your stay at one of our finest hotels, with accommodations appropriate for one of your honorable station, madam ambassador. Your Synthetic assistant is finalizing the details as we speak." She told Alice.

Ambassador Sursilvan inclined her head respectfully towards Yoko Takasashi, her expression conveying gratitude for the warm welcome extended by the representative of the Yamatai Star Empire.

"Thank you, Miss Takasashi," she replied with a gracious smile. "Your thoughtfulness and hospitality are greatly appreciated. I am honored by the arrangements made for my stay, and I am confident that my time here will be both productive and enriching."

With a sense of reassurance knowing that her accommodations had been meticulously arranged, Ambassador Sursilvan turned her attention towards her synthetic assistant, who was diligently overseeing the final details of their stay.

"Please convey my gratitude to my assistant for their efforts," she added, acknowledging the invaluable support provided by her dedicated team. "I look forward to experiencing the hospitality of the Yamatai Star Empire firsthand."

As she spoke, Ambassador Sursilvan's gaze swept across her surroundings, taking in the sights and sounds of this new environment with a sense of curiosity and respect. With each interaction, she recognized the opportunity to deepen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the Mining Guild and the esteemed nation of Yamatai, fostering a legacy of understanding and unity that would endure far beyond the confines of the International Relations Conference.

Yoko merely smiled "no need for thanks Ambassador, it is merely my duty. The Empire has heard of your Mining Guild, especially through Yugumo Corporation, and the relatives of the Ketsurui Imperial Family, the Motoyoshi Clan. In addition to your corporations mining practices. Making sure you are comfortable is the least i can do, ma'am."

Ambassador Sursilvan nodded appreciatively at Yoko's words, her respect for the diplomatic finesse of the Yamatai Star Empire deepening with each passing moment.

"I am heartened to hear of the esteemed reputation of the Mining Guild and our affiliates within the Yamatai Star Empire," she replied, her tone infused with genuine warmth. "It is our sincere hope to foster mutually beneficial relationships and contribute positively to the prosperity and harmony of this illustrious nation."

As they walked together, Ambassador Sursilvan couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude for the opportunity to engage in dialogue with representatives of the Motoyoshi Clan and other influential entities within Yamatai. Their recognition of the Mining Guild's contributions served as a testament to the dedication and integrity of its members, reinforcing her conviction in the importance of diplomacy and cooperation on a galactic scale.

"I am eager to explore the possibilities for collaboration and exchange between our respective organizations," she continued, her voice filled with enthusiasm. "May our interactions during the International Relations Conference pave the way for a future of prosperity and mutual understanding between our peoples."

With a shared sense of purpose and respect, Ambassador Sursilvan and Ambassador Takasashi continued their journey towards the conference hall, their steps echoing the rhythm of diplomacy as they forged ahead into the unknown, guided by the promise of cooperation and friendship between the Mining Guild and the noble Yamatai Star Empire.

Yoko nods, and soon they had arrived. "please do not hesitate to call on me or any of the staff, ma'am." Yoko said as they departed company.

"Your kindness and generosity are greatly appreciated, Ambassador Takasashi," Ambassador Sursilvan responded with a gracious smile, expressing her gratitude for the warm welcome and assurances of support.

As they parted ways, Ambassador Sursilvan made a mental note to remember Yoko's offer, knowing that the guidance and assistance of the Yamatai Star Empire's representatives would be invaluable as she navigated the complexities of the International Relations Conference.

"I will certainly keep that in mind," she replied, her voice resonating with sincerity. "Please extend my thanks to your staff for their hospitality and professionalism. I look forward to our continued collaboration during my stay here."

With a final nod of farewell, Ambassador Sursilvan watched as Ambassador Takasashi departed, her steps guided by a sense of purpose and determination. As she prepared to enter the conference hall, she carried with her the spirit of cooperation and friendship, ready to engage with her counterparts from across the galaxy in pursuit of a brighter future for all.

As Alice surveyed the grandeur of the conference hall, her eyes swept across the gathered dignitaries, each representing their respective factions and civilizations. The air buzzed with the energy of diplomatic discourse, as delegates engaged in lively conversations, their voices carrying the weight of interstellar politics.

In that moment, surrounded by the mosaic of cultures and ideologies, Alice felt a profound sense of purpose. She understood the gravity of her role as the Mining Guild's representative in this esteemed political arena, and she embraced the responsibility with unwavering confidence.

Drawing upon her years of experience in diplomacy and her steadfast dedication to the principles of the Mining Guild, Alice stood tall, exuding poise and dignity. With each step forward, she carried herself with grace, her movements deliberate and measured as she navigated the bustling crowd.

With every interaction, Alice reaffirmed her commitment to serving the Mining Guild with integrity and excellence. She understood that her actions in this political arena would not only shape the future of the Mining Guild but also contribute to the broader tapestry of galactic cooperation and harmony.

With a steadfast resolve burning in her heart, Alice forged ahead, her footsteps echoing the rhythm of diplomacy as she embraced the challenges and opportunities that lay ahead. As she moved forward, she remained steadfast in her belief that through dialogue and cooperation, the Mining Guild could indeed make a meaningful difference in the galaxy.

As Alice's gaze settled upon Essia's Senator amidst the bustling crowd, her mind immediately recalled the significant presence of the Separa'shan people within the Mining Guild. Over the years, she had witnessed firsthand the dedication and expertise that members of this unique species brought to their roles within the organization, with many rising to positions of leadership and influence.

Intrigued by the prospect of engaging in conversation with the Senator, Alice's interest was further piqued when she overheard snippets of his discussion with another delegate, wherein the term "Shuristas" was mentioned. The word stirred a sense of familiarity within her, as she recognized it as the name of a floating settlement inhabited by the Senti people, another group known to have found employment opportunities within the Mining Guild.

Armed with this knowledge, Alice seized the opportunity to approach the Senator, her steps measured and deliberate as she navigated the crowded hall. Mindful of the diplomatic protocols governing such interactions, she relied upon the skills honed through years of training to ensure that her approach was respectful and tactful.

Drawing upon her natural charm and charisma, Alice crafted a diplomatic greeting, her words chosen with care to convey both warmth and professionalism. With a smile that radiated genuine interest and goodwill, she extended her hand in greeting, her eyes reflecting a genuine eagerness to engage in meaningful dialogue with the Senators.

As she awaited his response, Alice remained poised and composed, her demeanor a reflection of her unwavering commitment to representing the Mining Guild with integrity and diplomacy. In this moment of connection, she understood the potential for collaboration and mutual understanding that lay before them, and she was determined to seize it with both hands.

FDS Rising Dawn-316
En-route to Yamatai

Since forming the Fujiko Development Corporation (FDC) with those Ryu-Mizumitsu Clanners, it had been nothing but work to undo the incompetence of the Nepleslian Reds' prior leadership. Between organizing some form of governance that didn't immediately cause the the most diehard idiots to cry out "You're trying to control me, man" and smiling politely at Ryu-Mizumitsu Yuki's efforts to micromanage him through the Ryu Keiretsu's representative on the Board of Directors, there were moments Sun Horatio could think about more personal thought processes. This was one of those moments. Sitting in his personal cabin within the modifed Crane Class Dropship, Horatio sat in the darkness thinking about his very first memories of his activation on Fujiko IV in YE 32.

"Uesureyans, Yamataians, Greens stepping in lockstep to their masters' desires; you need to focus on keeping the Reds united. We are our own worse enemies." the individual only known among them as THAT Red as he was present in everyone's deep sleep training. But when Horatio inquired how THAT Red reacted to them, he always got the same response of "He was very robotic, like a memory you have no control over". Which was not surprising, when everyone described him they always say he was a neatly dressed dark-skinned ID-SOL. But they could never quite clearly see his face as there always seemed to be a shadow casted over him. Remembering the smell of tobacco was always commonly referred when asked.

But Horatio remembered him being very passionate, always going on about the Uesureyans are this and the Uesureyans are that and the need for the Reds to free the Tymian and Tre Empires from their United Empire Forces bindings. All very strange things he learned not to mention to others as none of them have any idea who any of them are besides the Tymian Star everyone single one of them carries in some form or another. Even stranger was that someone from a deep learning training at least a century old would even know who the Yamataians were. It was always a mystery he keeps telling himself that he will look into now that he is CEO of the FDC.

Shaking his head to put himself back into the present, he leaned forward towards the desk and used his digital mind implant to summon a volumetric communication with the cockpit.

"Status." Sun Horatio simply said, his facial features illuminated by the only source of light in the room.

"We will be touching down momentarily Mister Sun." the dropship's co-pilot said.

"Excellent, contact Senator Yokota's office and have her arrange for the observer party to meet me at Reikan Park." he simply said, directed at his Chief of Staff sitting in the Crane's Crew Chief position with in the cockpit. He knew she was well aware that this whole observer thing was Yokota's idea, the least he could do was inconvenience the Senator a bit.

"Understood sir."

Closing the volumetric display, he raised the level of illumination to allow himself to become more presentable by donning his maroon jacket. He activated the SPECTRA Visual Interface on the side of the cabin facing the outside. The wooden wall shimmered and gave way to a beautiful high vantage point of Kyoto.

"Ahhh, the city is as beautiful as they said it was..." Horatio remarked as he watched.

Conference Center

Meeting with Senator Yokota and her entourage of 2 "diplomats" from the Fujiko Trade and Cultral Exchange Office, 2 aides for each one, and an odd senior officer from the FSDF; the Nepelslian Red party entered the meet and greet. Dressed in a maroon business suit with an onyx shirt lacking a tie, the massive 205cm athletically built dark skinned Red stood out from the others with him. He merely glanced in the direction of the ID-SOL soldiers and the other Greens within the conference center. There was a deep urge to say something stupid, but he kept his composure as the last words of THAT Red echoed in him.

"We are our own worse enemies." he thought to himself before he made his way to gauge the room, keeping well away from the Greens for the time being. Senator Yokota just looked over towards his Chief of Staff, which the woman promptly just shrugged her shoulders before running to catch up with the big man. Yokota would have to keep an eye on the pair, but for the time being she made her way over towards the Senators of Essia, Elysia, and Shuristia to see what they were up to. She was easily identifiable by others by her usual Lianjia influenced attire she was commonly seen wearing. Though her ruqun and hair was especially formal for the occasion.

Reikan Park,
United Norian Imperium Delegation

The Imperial Diplomatic Advisor walked silently behind the the pair in front of her. Much like the Jol'Aestaesys she had also chosen to wear her U.N.N. style uniform in lieu of traditional clothing, as this was considered a work event. Her dark blue uniform with black panels was a stark contrast to the last outfit she had worn on duty in Yamatai. Pitch black eyes gazed over the scene that unfolded as her aqua braid swished with each step she took. Reikan Park was quite a scene to behold, yet she like many times over the journey found her focus back on the mysterious woman who accompanied them as a special diplomat.

There had not been much said about the matter due to a number of things, none of which she was in a position to question. She served at the behest of the Jol'Aestaesys, whoever that may be and she was satisfied with that. Though in the back of her mind she did carry concern for Tetsuya who remained hospitalized. The situation in Noria was chaotic and she found herself puzzled with the Quaen's logic. Clearly they had underestimated Nira, a mistake she aimed to not replicate.

Conference Center
Anisa Senator

Ema Himari walked into the conference center with a joyous expression on her face. This was her first time representing the people of Anisa at an event since had elections wrapped up. She was not only honored to have been chosen by her people, but elated for the chance to make new beneficial connections for them. Gracefully her steps carried her through the throngs of various attendees who filled the hall with conversation. There was so many interesting things going on around her it was hard to choose which one to delve into first. She noticed that the senators of Essia, Elysia, Shurista, and Fujiko were gathered chatting, this would be the first of many hopefully pleasant interactions of the event.

Decidedly she made her way over in a formal black dress trimmed with subtle red agriculturally inspired designs. The two aides that had come with her mingled amongst the others so that their presence was not limited to a singular grouping. "This should be interesting," she thought to herself.

Tsenlan Delegation

The trio representing Tsenlan entered the conference center, its bustling activity causing mixed reactions among the group. Aelya's eyes lit up as she looked over the bustling hub of activity. Though her mood quickly became more serious as she remembered she was here under much different circumstances than she had been for previous outings. However, that look in her ruby hued orbs did not dim as she saw so many deliciously attractive participants. Speaking of attractive participants, where was her brother Tetsuya? "I wonder if he will be here representing the Imperium," she thought.

Behind the Aester other members of the delegation were less visibly enthused. Ihari shivered internally at the thought of having to mingle amongst so many strangers, though she tried to see things from her mother's perspective. The white haired norian's ruby gaze held an unexpressive look as she followed her mother. Vulre's only focus was the two women he accompanied, not that either of them needed him there. Nonetheless it was his honor to serve the Eitan Ysi as many of the Akhai had done and would continue to do.

Reikan Park, Yamatai
The YSS Wakaba had taken much longer to repair than had originally been estimated. The structural damage was far more severe than and the internal wiring throughout the ship had had to be completely ripped out and replaced. Then it was decided that while they had the ship stripped down that it would be a good idea to go ahead and over haul its systems. The Star Army techs knew their jobs and had finally completed the repairs. The Wakaba was better than ever, probably the most up to date Sharie class Battleship in the fleet.

Command decided to see just how many birds they could kill with one stone. The Wakaba needed a shake down, a test flight. The crew needed to become familiar with their rebuilt ship with its new equipment and gadgets before they were sent back to the front lines. With the biannual IRC fast approaching it was decided that the Wakaba could pick up some of the diplomats and delegates that would be attending. Show off the might and advanced technologies of the Star Army aboard the backbone of the Navy. An argument could also be made that the Wakaba, after surviving being lost in space for nearly two years, had finally been rescued. It was that rescue mission by the famous Resurgence that had showed the Star Army that the Mishhu had spread and grown not just towards the south into Useu Space, but all over the galaxy. It had marked the beginning of the Third Mishhu War.

Tasia Thomas Canterbury strolled along Reikan Park, admiring the beauty of the Park. Setsunu Meisui and her reformed Angels of death were escorting the delegates they had picked up to their rooms to get settled in. There had been a brief... discussion about having to forfeit their weapons around the conference areas. Some of the girls didn't like the idea of not carrying their weapons. Thomas had been a little annoyed himself when he learned that not even his traditional straight silver knife was not allowed on the premises. Setsunu, it typical fashion had reassured her girls that most of them were Nekos and were therefore already a deadly weapon that needed nothing more than their bare hands and sharp mind to overcome any threat that would possibly appear here in the heart of Yamatai. Thomas had smiled at that. He knew that she was also annoyed and uncomfortable having to leave her beloved spear, Kuronosu, back in their quarters but she knew better than to let the other girls see her complain. A leader had to follow orders of those above them as unquestionly as she expected those under her to follow her.

Thomas continued his stroll, looking at all the different delegates and nations represented here. He was keeping an eye out for his cousin Jack. Captain Jacob Canterbury of the Nepleslian navy. It would be good to see his cousin. They were very close. He had also heard that a delegations from the 'Reds' would be here and Thomas was looking forward to hearing how they had grown. He himself had left Nepleslian during the civil war with other Reds. Although he had joined the Star Army out of necessity, he had grown to love it and now was a decorated Captain. But he still felt a strong loyalty to the Reds and wanted to help their cause as much as possible.

> Aiko, Boss, William, and Gaelan

Gaelan gave a slight smile as Aiko greeted him. "Happy to be here, Princess Aiko. It has been quite some time." He replied. William put on a smile and nodded, but that smile faded as Aiko continued to speak. She went so far as to snicker telepahtically to him.

Gaelan chuckled and turned to William. "I am happy to hear you aren't trying to earn another Blood Ribbon, but it sounds like your mouth is writing checks you can't cash." He said, taking Aiko's side. William's eyebrow twitched in annoyance. "If you remember correctly, I was competing with you, not the entire crew. You were the one who tried to rope the whole crew into it. Afraid I was going to beat you again?" He shot back, a replay of Aiko's snicker playing telepathically to the Princess.

"Now now you two, no need for a sword measuring contest. At least not here." Gaelan said placateingly to the pair. He then so happened to notice Boss. "Princess Aiko, why don't you introduce me to your aquaitence?" He asked.

"There is nothing to fear between Nepleslians and Yamataians," Aiko replied to William's taunt, adding on 'because you will never best me!' in another telepathic message to William before continuing verbally. She would be a touch more diplomatic with Gaelan now, especially because the old soldier had taken well to her dry jesting. "The Star Empire welcomes friendly rivalry between our cousin nations, for such competition breeds progress and victory together over our sector's foes."

She then glanced over to Boss beside her. The playful craftiness on Aiko's face quickly faded to its usual grace after that. Introducing Hanako or other dignitaries to Gaelan was something the Ketsurui princess had planned and practiced as part of her role as a representative of her clan's Star Empire. But this opportunity to show off her ship would bring Aiko more satisfaction.

"Sky Marshal, this is the YSS Kaiyō II," she said. Aiko's resonant, velvety voice sounded quite proud to fulfill the Nepleslian Premier's request for an introduction. "Or more precisely: she is the ship's MEGAMI avatar. Her name is 'Boss,' and both Wil and I owe her more than can be articulated with simple words."

Aiko stepped aside to provide the reserved AI girl with a clear path to meet the Sky Marshal, placing her right hand gently on the back of Boss' waist to encourage her forward.

"Boss, this man is William's father," Aiko told her MEGAMI companion in kind. "He is a great Nepleslian leader and his ship is the Shaika Assault Carrier called NSS Southpaw," she added, knowing Boss was interested in knowing about other ships.
