Well, unless you know Wes personally or something, you can't have an officer ranked character until your board rank is high enough. I don't know if the standard enlisted NH-17 would have undergone officer-esque training at the enlisted level, either. You could always add a hobby or two. Anyway, use the rank you see near your name currently, and re-examine the fields you want to specialize in. Also, you probably want to decide on her measurements. I'm not quite sure how 'TBA' fits for a bust size o.o

I liked that you seemed to explain the reason for her eye being odd, but I'm not too sure if that's totally plausible. The NH-17's probably don't need such close attention being paid in that phase, and the customization at the creation stage I think would have been halted if there was something like that out of the normal perimeters for creation?

Welcome! ^^

The history needsa to be cleared with Wes, as I don't think that actually happened. Also, you might as well play as a fresh from the bag neko especially if you are just starting out.

...I'm fairly sure TBA comes somewhere after DDD...

Will and Zack pretty well covered it, so I'll just say that besides the history it's nice. Welcome, and have fun.

I'm not really feeling the history, but I suppose it could have happened. Note that defective nekos are usually destroyed in the factory.

Character approved for use in the RP. ^^

I thought Midshipmen was an introductory officer rank x.o

I'm not feeling the history either. It's pretty hard to "mess up" Neko production, short of intentional sabotage.

I'm not picking on anyone in particular. There has been a lot of "taking liberties" with significant events that supposedly happened in the past, on the part of new players. If it could potentially impact the entire RP setting, such as a (even temporary) reduction in the quality of Nekos manufactured by WickedArms, then I believe it's going too far. I don't think we should be encouraging this kind of behavior, Wes.

Everything about this character could've been justified with less elaborate explainations. Red gash in the eye? Genetic tattoo. Psychological problems? Some Nekos do develop them after birth/production. Want to start out as a junior officer? That can be arranged. Wes is a nice guy, but other people might have taken exception to you saying that their company is making shoddy products.

I know the char is already approved, but I would personally like to see the history dialed back a little bit. This isn't meant to scare or intimidate anyone. I'm just very protective of the RP setting.

Welcome to the RP.

Not quite sure where the midshipman lies on the rank scale but you shouldn't be playing an officer.

Tweaked the bio, most notably I removed all references to sub-quality nekos. Sorry for that, my reasoning for it was mainly based on my belief that corporate greed would still be alive and well in the future and that the consequences are usually sub-quality products. I realise it was taking too much of a liberty with things, and I have no problem with rewriting the history to remove it. On that note, please let me know if anything else is wrong or far-fetched and I'll change them as well.

Other than that I added her bust size, I'll decide on her other measurements later. And thanks for the welcomes.

Well, my (small) understanding of the military is that enlisted and officer are two different tracks, and that a Midshipman would be the rough equivalent of a Santô Hei in this case, having come straight out of basic and officer training with no 'real' experience. As to the board rank, Wes didn't seem to mind it, but if he could clear it up here that would be best I think.

I'll refer you to this thread, since you seem to have not read it yet.

That should clear this up for you rather well, so you understand what's expected here. ^^

In other words, Santo Hei or bust~

If you have any other questions feel free to YIM me if that's easier for you!

This is taken directly from the Character sheet.

Rank: (Cannot exceed your board rank)

While I'm at it, you should change your rank to one that actually exsists. There is no 'Midshipman' rank in the Star Army. You need to change your character's rank to one of the Star Army ranks, IE whatever your board rank is now.

I'd momentarily forgotten about the officer thing when I approved the bio, and I agree with Yangfan, too. Anyway, I think we'll count her as an officer-in-training for the time being.

Midshipman/Cadet it is.

Once David earns officer rank on the forums, his character will be eligible for a "real" officer rank. In the meantime, Kiyoko will be doing on-site training for her job. Sound good?

My main character started out as a junior officer, so I can't really say anything about this one way or the other. If it makes everyone else feel a bit better, grunts get promoted rather quickly, junior officers shouldn't expect a promotion for a long time. Oh, and you get no respect from the red-shirts. :/

As for WickedArms, they have a government-enforced monopoly on Neko production, so profit margins are pretty healthy even without cutting corners. Did I mention that the survival of humanity depends on the Nekos?

Yes yes, humanity is always on the bring of extinction by something and needs to be saved by something else.

Don't listen to Yangfan, he is just being dramatic. Well, the neko part anyways.
