History
John grew up on Kennewes in a small farming family. He is the only child of in a long line of marshland farmers. A few years ago however, a large corporation bought his family's land out from under them, and they were forced to immigrate to the capital world of Nepleslia. Shortly after arriving on the homeworld, John signed on with the military in hopes of visiting remote worlds and learning new skills.
Skills
Fighting: John received hand-to-hand combat training, followed up with a rigorous training program. He is skilled and experienced in combat both in Nepleslian -like conditions and in zero-gravity, with and without weapons. Weapons he is trained in include energy pistols, knives, and power armor.
Communication:: John is familiar with basic radio operation and procedures and can make transmissions to and receive transmissions from other characters through headsets, starships, power armor, and shuttles in both combat and non-combat conditions. John is fluent in English and Japanese. He can speak and write both correctly and efficiently and can write reports, fill forms, issue orders under fire, etc.
Knowledge: John has extensive knowledge of marshland farming techniques and practices. John also has over 10 years experience with farming equipment and transports.
Leadership: John has 6 years experience supervising the help on his family farm.
Vehicle: John has used industrial/labor mecha, hovercraft and wheeled transports in his farming experience. He has also been trained using standard Nepleslian mecha & vehicles.
Survival and Military: John is skilled at surviving in harsh climates from both his own experience and his military training. He is experienced with finding water, hunting for food & building suitable shelter. He is also capable of navigating and determining his position in even the roughest of terrain.
