Just Came Up With This...

This isn't really a big deal, and I don't know if it's been done before, but when updating my character's history, I had the idea to write it in first person like a journal entry.

You can see it for yourself (it's on Jax's page). I personally think it adds flavor to a history, allowing the reader to delve into the mind of the character and really get a sense of what they're like.

Just something cool I wanted to share!

Typically everything on the wiki is written in third-person as a rule (it's an encyclopedia), but if people want to do their history that way, I suppose it doesn't hurt much. The main danger being that the wiki is an OOC guide to a character where everything is in there, and if the history is told from the view of a character, they might lie about themselves or leave embarrassing info out. Please keep the rest of the character bio (stuff that's not history) in third-person for standardization purposes.

You may want to include a link to your character page here too!

I also don't think there would be an issue with including character quotes alongside the maditory 3rd person material? In the words of that little Mexican girl 'why not both?'

Actually this idea doesn't sound too bad. If it was on a separate page and you also include the accurate history in the actual character profile page it could be cool, as long as you mention that not everything in the "journal" is accurate, it's just how your character describes it happening. Like maybe link to "Jax's Journal" and add a disclaimer saying it may not be 100% accurate.
