It states on the Vekimen race page that they have rather sensitive hearing ((This is an understatement. Yelling at them hurts as RPed so far)), but I can add that to the page.

I'm curious (not a tech mod by any stretch of the imagination), based on an earlier post, how the system begins motion. I agree that it seems though something would need physically push the piston to begin the back-and-forth motion because this system wouldn't be able to create this oscillation without the motion already existing. Am I fundamentally misunderstanding the physics behind it (mind you, this is very possible), or is there some sort of electric starter like a car or hand-crank like ye olde car?

Heat up the hot chamber. The expansion of gases will push out one of the pistons which will start the device moving. Alternatively, you can try an apply rotation to the crankshaft if you want it to start faster.
