Okay, I left home to go to school at my art classes. I work on computer a lot and I don't usually have a problem multitasking ( in fact, it keeps me from becoming bored, expecially when I have early-morning zombie episodes - Gwuuuaaaarrgh~! ), so, I hopped on StarArmy and noticed that there we're no "Your posts - Posts since last visit - Unanswered posts" links at the bottom of the index page anymore.

I actually look very often at the "Who is Online" box area down the page and having those links close was very convenient. I've done a lot of 'scroll up / scroll down' this morning so far - I can live with it, but it is a bit annoying.

Um, if this is a false alarm because the school's browser is crappy, I apologise (it's firefox though >_>; ). If not, well, I'd appreciate if it could be tweaked. Thanks! ^__^

Now, instead of being at the bottom of just the forum index, the links have been moved to the top of the header that is on every page, for your convenience.

That was a nice idea, actually. However, some pages on the forum are relatively long. What I'm asking is if it's possible to have them as header and footer.

Please! ^_^

Yay!

*pause*

*looks at the "Way to Support Us" box*

This one a good deal of vertical space. To keep visibility while not clashing too much with the table arrangement, I'd suggest you make a small table of 2 rows x 3 columns.

Like so :

* * *
* * *

instead of :

*
*
*
*
*
*

It would take around 1/3 of the vertical space and use more of the horizontal space too.

Thanks again for the header/footer links.

Rawr. Double post for purpose of bumping since you are at it right now.

the

* * *
* * *

thing is an improvment, but now it looks a bit bunched together because it's not uniform. Maybe try making the links' font slightly smaller and center each line?

Edit :

Oh! * * * * * * looks good. All you have to do is center that now!

How about now?

Bumping. Again. Yes, I'm bad, I know.

Is there any way to change the "support us" box border color to match the color scheme of the site. The way it is now creates a contrast which makes it very noticable, but altering the color could be a nice finishing touch if that possible. (I'm not sure you can do that through the table border codes, but I think there's a CSS function that takes care of that).

Edit : Oh, reduced the font size. Good idea. It still looks good and matches better with the neighboring font.

Trying to tie it into the top border...

*whistles* Yes, the colored background and the slimmer border looks good. It's pretty sharp ^_^

Tie in the top border? Erm... oh well, I suppose I'll know what you mean when I see it...

Unless I'm mistaken, other people will be able to tell that you've edited your post. Double-posting a few minutes after should not be necessary.

Editing a post does not cause it to high-light. ^^;

*nod nod* I would not have had double posted if I had not known that Wes was watching the forum carefully... though I admit I could have seen PM message - but then again, the sole PM mesage I had sent Wes had never gotten a reply... so... well, I made double posts.

Again, sorry. I know those are bad - but I needed to at the time to achieve my well-intentioned aim of providing feedback.

Okay, I'm not creating a new tread for this... so... highlight! XD

The Military design tread here -

https://stararmy.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=688

- actually seems to be a good ressource... or would be if most of it's links actually worked (the templates and off-site conversion tools seem to be the only things that work ).

Seeing these links (and possibly their ressources) fixed would be nice ^_^

When you find the time Wes, it would be nice if you could fix the map link in the sidebar's "quick links". We can access the map from the top of the forum index...

Also, check your PM box for goodies! ^__^

Sorry, I didn't upload the updates side bar yet. ^^; I'll get it when I get home from class.
