The news transmission sent by the Lorath Matriarchy Associated News was a priority transmission, causing other entertainment and news related transmissions within the matriarchy and on some UOC channels to switch to the broadcast. When the broadcast was received, the image of a Lorath woman with fair skin and shoulder length ice-blue hair appeared upon the screen. The look on her face was cold, intense, and without much feeling other than what was apparent anger.
"We interrupt current transmissions to make an urgent announcement. An assassination attempt has been made upon the Royal Xiaah. At 13:45 this afternoon a lone Occhestian gunman made an attempt upon the life of the Queen utilizing a medium range sub-sonic rifle. The Queen managed to survive with a head-wound and skull bruising, yet she is expected to make a full recovery. At this time there is little to no news as to what will be done in response to this event, yet we will keep the public informed as to what the Royalty will do to respond to the new Occhestian threat."
