[MAN] Stalwart Defense Industries - Press Release

"This is Kamilah "Obsession" Kaminer Tur'lista live from the Lazarus Facility, headquarters of intergalactic weapons design bureau Stalwart Defense Industries. The eccentric CEO and founder of the company, known to the public as 'Stalwart Defender', has arranged a statement to be made in the wake of the UOC's historic independence declaration."

"While SDI is incorporated as a Nepleslian company, it has an exclusive deal with the Matriarchy to manufacture its designs. Since Stalwart's arrival on Lor in YE 29 his company has grown from a one-man endeavor to a small corporate empire, employing experts from all nations and creating designs to forward to the Matriarchy for manufacture - many of which, we are told, never see the light of day."

"Allegations that Stalwart has been associating with known SAoY deserters persist among his critics, allegations he has neither confirmed nor denied. What is known is that he has been romantically linked to an unknown Yamataian with red hair, that he has utilized reverse-engineered alien technology in his recent Hunter powersuit, that he frequents the Fruna Ruica pleasure ship, and that his ARIA unit has illegally sold pornographic images of herself. Despite these controversies, and the inherent moral ambiguity in arms dealing, Stalwart continues to be one of the most well-known foreigners in the employ of the Lorath."

"We go live now to Stalwart at the podium. He has stated that he hopes his message does not fall on deaf ears - so keep yourself tuned to MNN."

Stalwart Defender said:
Good evening, citizens of Nyli, and those of you watching throughout the galaxy. I am, as you well know, Stalwart Defender, CEO and founder of Stalwart Defense Industries.

My company has grown well in the past few months, and in these troubled times, business is booming. As I speak the first orders of the new Hunter-class powered suit are being shipped, the first of the SDI-X series of powered armors. The NSW Initiative is in full swing, with the releases of the upgraded Special, the innovative Enforcer, and the multitalented Suppressor all enjoying success and good reviews, with more on the way.

Of course, as a Yamataian living in Nepleslia and doing business among the Lorath, I have never had any sense of loyalty to any particular nation - which is what I come here to speak of. The formation of a new nation, the United Outer Colonies, which has happened scant hours ago, will inevitably cause huge waves of change throughout known space.

Because the new UOC is going to likely be using new equipment designed by the Motoyoshi Fleet Yards and other companies, I would like to forward my own offer. My company is willing to allow licenced use of my designs, manufactured by the Matriarchy of course, for the deployment of the new fleets, whatever they may be. I assure you, you will find no finer weapon than those my company has designed - perhaps you could even use them as standard sidearms, if you find them useful.

Of course, this does not mean I abandon any other nation. My company's hiring practices have been simple - if you innovate, we want you, no matter your race or place of birth. Our company also takes the work of freelancers and offers good money for doing so. As well, we will sell weapons to all nations regardless of political affiliation, just as we always have - subject to local laws and regulations, mind you.

And on another note. We here at SDI do not wish to see war between the nations of humanity, of the children of Rok'veru. Our weapons, no matter the manufacturer, should be aimed at the looming threat of the Mishhuvurthyar's return, a scant year distant; at the remnants of the Reds, who even now threaten innocent civilians for dubious political gain; at the many terrorist and rebel organizations that seek to destabilize our way of life.

So remember, when your peace is threatened, when you have nowhere left to turn, and when you need a damned good gun - shop smart. Shop Stalwart Defense.
