Motoyoshi-Koyanagi Mayumi despite Tio being the declared Monarch of the United Outer Colonies was the head of the Motoyoshi Clan. She had facilitated the original rise of the Bakufu, and had created the industrial conglomerate that became Motoyoshi Fleet Yards. She was not only the head of the clan in the UOC, but she held all holdings out of the nation as well.
A new logo was cast into the wall behind her, it was a cross between that of the Tange and the Motoyoshi, the never seen before image of three upwards facing crescents flanked a blue flame locked in a shield-like shape.
The woman had been waiting for this day for years, a chance to finally restore the clan to a state more appropriate to the days prior to Katsuko's return.
"As of this date, the thirtieth year of Yamatai. I come before you to announce an official change within the Motoyoshi Clan." she paused, looking into the camera. "The Motoyoshi Clan will now be known as the Motoyoshi-Tange Alliance. To recognize the Tange majority within our ranks, and our appreciation to their devotion to our operations in the United Outer Colonies and beyond."
"At the request of the Tange, I will be putting all Motoyoshi holdings currently located within the Yamatai Star Empire aside from those apart of our corporate partnership with NovaCorp up for auction. In response to the Empire's blatant and irresponsible policies which try to threaten the sovereignty of the United Outer Colonies." Mayumi's eyes narrowed. "Katsuko if you are out there, know you are no longer a member of this family."
A surprising appearance, a young man wearing a blacksuit approached the podium beside Mayumi. Tio smiled, giving a nod to his step-mother. "The throne of the Colonies supports the decision of the leader of its clan at this time." Tio had always been known as a pacifist, his support of the Tange had always been that of neutrality, the recent events had stirred a change, one that did not bode well for those intending to practice the orders given to those of the YSE to encourage citizens of the colonies to go back.
