Motoyoshi Bakufu News [MBNN] Headlines, March 21st

The logo of the United Outer Colonies flashed on the screen, then slowly faded away as a woman sat behind a desk, the atypical set of papers in hand. She wore a small smile, bowed her head slightly, and began to speak.

"Welcome to the afternoon addition of MBNN, I am your host, Arisa Kobayashi."She introduced herself before looking into another camera that panned on her.

"In today's news, the United Outer Colonies Stock Market tally has gone up twenty points in the polls, the United Manufacturing Cooperative, and their partner companies that make up the titan corporation should be enjoying the increased profits, and productivity, as will the rest of the Colonies with job openings opening up as fast as they can be filled." As she spoke, a small picture, in picture window showed up behind her, a graph showing a red arrow and line making a steady rise.

"This should prove to help our nation to flourish in the coming months." The anchorwoman said before shifting the topic.

"In other news, the continuing disappearances of several of the UOCPF's squadrons has those on the home front still anxiously awaiting any news, or signs of them. The UOCPF issued statement has claimed that it is still a mystery as to what has happened to the missing ships, no debris, escape pods or bodies have been found at their last known location, inciting it may not even be marauders, or pirates. The UOCPF has of course, stated they will keep MBNN up to date on this situation as the investigation continues. And of course, the families of the missing."

Arisa spoke in a calm, but apologetic tone as she continued. "The UOCPF will also be increasing defense patrols along the borders in an attempt to discourage any further disappearances... our thoughts, and prayers go out to the families of the missing."

"As peace talks at the International Conference continue, we have yet to receive major coverage as it is a closed session, the leaders speaking and negotiating in private, however, one of the aides was allowed to issue a brief comment: "The talks are going well between the nations, the mood is that of a friendly demeanor on all sides." Unfortunately, the aide was unable to answer any further questions on the matter."
