Producer Information
Designer: Miles Gunn
Manufacturer: Star Army of Yamatai Nodal System
(Suggested) Price: N/A
Individual Component Costs: N/A
Nomenclature Information
Name: NH-12B Miniature Laser Weapon
Type: Laser
Role: Anti-Vermin, Anti-personnel, Metal cutter.
Length: 6.35 - 7.62 CM / 2.5 - 3 Inches.
Weight: .226 kg / .5 lb.
(Size and weight may vary. This is dependant on the size of the NH-12B)
Discharge Information
Projection/ammo type: Focused Intensity Laser.
Firing Mechanism: Nodal devices would be used to activate a charge in the initial laser emitter of the rifle. When the charge is complete the laser emitter would then release the accelerated photons down the focusing barrel which would contain lenses that would increase the focus of the beam. Once the laser photons are clear of the barrel they are focused once more in the laser compression section at the head of the barrel When compression of the beam is completed the beam is passed through a variable refraction lens that would emit the laser at the desired width and intensity.
Beam Diameter: Variable.
Beam Arc: 0 Degrees.
Effective Range: 45 Meters.
Maximum Range: 90 Meters.
Minimum Range: 0.
Muzzle Velocity: Light speed.
Muzzle Blast: A minor low pitch sound is made by the charge of the emitter; a red or green glow is visible at the head of the laser variable emitter.
Firing Mode(s): Pulse, Long duration, High focus cutting, single short duration, low intensity, and high intensity.
Recoil: None
Damage Description: Thermal effects to the intended target, these effects range from noticeable heat discomfort, to combustion, cutting, and melting of flesh and weaker metals.
Ammo Description:
Name: Nodal Fueled Charge Pack.
Visual Description: Internally stored inside of a small disk shaped battery placed inside of the stock of the weapon.
Charge: Charge can be sustained as long as nodal devices are available and active.
Name: Chemical delivery dart.
Visual Description: A pin sized dart encased in a low intensity propellant.
Ammo: Replenished by nodal system.
Damage Description: small puncture wound, chemical effects vary dependant upon contained chemicals or toxins.
Weapon Mechanisms:
Safety: Yes. Weapon must be given arming data from a NH-S-Type through connection ports.
Fire mode selector: NH-S-Type connection dependant.
Weapon Sight: Infrared and thermal scanner that uploads data to the NH-S-Type's visual systems.
Attachment Hard points: Dart launcher attachment brackets, NH-S-Type connection ports.
Dart Launcher: The weapon includes a dart launching device that is automatically reloaded by nodal devices; darts are propelled by a block of propellant that encases the tail end of the dart.
Maintenance Information:
Field Maintenance Procedure: Nodal system maintained.
Replaceable Parts and components: Nodal system maintained.
Visual Description: This is what the weapon looks like.
History: Finding that the MWP was overpowered to the intended use of the weapon a replacement was deemed necessary. Using the technology behind his "Laser Scalpelâ€
