"Akuro to Kasairyuu Wing..." the communications officer from the flight bridge reading from the datapad which had just gotten handed to her. "There's been a change of plans...Cadet Adlich, you are to order the following back to base : Itto Juni Camellia Sarri, Santo Hei Caine Ionoche, and Nito Hei Jaq Draco. They are to meet Cadet Ishimaru in the 21st Armor briefing room upon their arrival. Sorry Cadet, it appears the personnel bug gets us all at some point. "

Frowning a bit at the sudden change of plans, Corro grudgingly accepted them. "Roger that Akuro. I will release the three pilots you requested. They will be returning along with squadrons G, H, I, and J as vanguard. Cadet Adlich, out." Corro adjusted his frequency back to the rescue team's network. "We have a change in plans pilots. Sarri, Ionoche, and Draco, you are to return to the Akuro with the rest of the Wing and meet with a Cadet Ishimaru of the 21st Armor Wing. You three get moving now." He ended his order and began going over some pre-flight data in his suit.

Surprised, Camellia simply responded with a begrudged, "Yessir." Before slowing, turning and flying back to the Akuro. Her first sortie, and she got recalled. "Damnit." She muttered.

Jaqs eyes closed in annoyance when he heard the command. "You can't be serious!" he said under his breath. "Roger that. In File" It's my first time out with my wing mates and what happens? I get recalled! It wouldn't be as bad if it had happened before they left the ship but since they were already in flight.... just seems like a waste of time! he complained to himself.

Caine stopped and sighed and flipped over, turning around at the same time in space to return to the Akuro and took off toward the Akuro. "I Gotcha." he said. "Come on you guys, don't lag." he said as he took off back to their mother ship.

A feminine voice broke in on the private channel to Corro. "Thanks Corro, this is Cadet Isimaru, I owe ‘ya one for being flexible. Seems the 5th's resources are all tied up in this colonization mission. It may be a few weeks before I can get them back to you." Cadet Ishimaru leaned back into her chair, and continued "Any good luck Cadet..." she trailed off. A second passed and she opened communication to Sarri, Ionoche, and Draco "Ok hotdogs, get yourselves back to the Akuro..on the double...Mission breifing is in ten minutes." She cut the communication commenting to the Chui who let her break in on her seat "Thanks, Time to go whip some slag into gear. Make sure those three make it to the 21st briefing room once they get here." She jumped up out of the chair and headed out into the corridor swinging the holo-baton for controlling the projections that she would use in her briefing.

Camellia landed and dressed as fast as she could, this new commander didn't give any of them any real time, most of it was taken up by the flight itself. Rushing out of the bay, Camellia was hastily put her jacket on. When she exited the doors, she broke into a run for the nearest lift. A short ride later, and she jogged along the corridor to the briefing room, doing the last buttons on her jacket as the doors hissed open.

Caine, however; took his time removing his power armor and put it back on it's harness. Once he brushed his hair out of his collar he took off in a brisk jog to the lift and took it to the appropriate floor and hurried to the room and bowed to both women.

Jaq blasted back to the Ship and made a hard landing on the deck and started to take off his armor with great haste. He ran from the armor room down to his room to change his clothes to a more suitable garb. He made good time to the assigned briefing room, seeing Camellia walk in. He stopped and straightened himself out and entered the room in good form.

They would notice as they entered, that the briefing hall was clear. Not a soul except Cadet Ishimaru. She was sitting in one of the chairs she had pulled from the front row, tapping her holo baton on the podium that was next to her. She seemed rather comfortable, spite the load of pressure that she felt having to take on these three.

"Please, come up front and have a seat..I am Cadet Ishimaru Kauro, Wing leader of the 21st. You three have been assigned as Theta flight group. I will be sure that new patches and such are issued to you at the convenience of the duty officer on the flight bridge. Unfortunately that is about all the time I have to introduce myself or the Wing really...So lets get to what we will be doing." She didn't wait for them to get comfortable and proceeded to activate one of the buttons on the holo baton, the room's lighting dimming as the holo display activated.

Camellia bowed quickly as the Cadet introduced herself and sought a seat as fast and quietly as she could. Caine had already bowed to both higher ranking women and sat down leaning back in the chair, arms crossed half annoyed with the command's decision. Why can't they ever make up their minds?! He thought as he looked up at her.

Jaq bowed during a brief stop in his progress to sitting down. "This had better be good" he had thought to him self." Jaq sat down and straightened out and focused on the CO.

"An hour ago, one of our scouts at the edge of the Bard Cluster conducted a regional scan...they detected a large vessel that appears to be adrift in the southern region of the cluster. Unfortunately it is made of an undeterminable metal and we are unable to penetrate it to see what exactly it is. It appears.." she flicked to one of the long range photographs, it showing as a dark blip on the screen. "That it has been adrift for a longtime. As you all know most of the 5th's resources right now are tied up either in the colonization mission or are on their way to Jaspis. Which leaves us to investigate..." she took a breath, waiting a moment to continue..

"A Ghost ship? Out here?" Camellia blurted as she took in this information. "Is it a dead floater? Or is an IFF being transmitted?" She asked as she leaned forward some and rubbed her jaw line.

Caine growls. "This means someone got lazy and now we have to go clean up their mess." He said darkly.

Jaq eyes brightened. "This is far more fun than some recovery mission! You heard what she said, indiscernible metal. That has to be something big. Ma'am I am very happy to be work under you for this!" Jaq's words had a sarcastic undertone but were mostly how he actually felt.

"We know this much for sure..." the Cadet paused, switching it over to some technical schematics "The vessel itself is approximately 9 kilometers in length that is bigger than even a Chiharu, and has been drifting on a uninterrupted course from what our scientists can ascertain about a thousand years. Yes, it is a totally dead floater..nothing about its design has ever been discovered by this fleet or any other branch of the empire. From what I have been told..none of its systems appear to be active. But I still want precautions taken. It will only be the four of us as that the rest of the 21st is on deployment with the Akuro patrol wings."

"Hmm..." Camellia murmured as she took in this. "A thousand year old relic." Shaking her head, she clenched her raised hand into a fist and smiled. "I always wanted to make a discovery." After hearing the Cadet's warning as this being their mission alone. Camellia kept smiling.

Caine said "So we carve it open, gut it, throw out the guts and bring back whatever interesting things we find correct? But a thousand years? I don't think they had space traveling technology back then? This thing must be made of something special." Caine said, still sounding unenthusiastic. "I got a bad feeling"

Jaq's hand slowly raised in Question. " Ma'am where have they traced the path bad to? or do they have no clue?" Jaq waited for a reply.

She then set the baton back on the counter "The only thing we can confirm is that it originated somewhere outside the southern boundaries of our galaxy...And since the rest of what they gave me is bullshit and mambo jumbo...Any other questions before we suit up and ship out?"

"Yes." Camellia said. "I'd like to know if this is a search and recovery, or a simple investigation."

Ishimaru looked to Camellia as she picked up her duffle bag that she had stashed behind the podium "Well, I have been given the leisure to do as we determine possible once we get out there. Our scientists would love some data or even samples from onboard. I want to see what it has to offer. But, that could be dangerous." she warned. "Anyone else?"

Caine spoke up again. "How do we know this isn't some kind of ancient Trojan?" he asked. "You know the moment we get on there something horrible might happen."

A grim smile came to Kaoru's lips "Thus is the game of exploration. We just have to risk it...If we don't explore it and it ends up in the hands of our enemies and becomes the biggest find of our time, then what? We are damned either way and I would rather play the odds and maybe end up with a find on my record. Anything else?" She looked to Jaq.

"Frankly Ma'am.... I'm set!" was Jaqs reply as he shrugged his shoulders "Now what do you say we get to that drift before some one else does?"

Frankly I don't give a damn if someone else finds it, the grim reaper here gets all the credit anyway, if it's good it's not, we get the repercussions. Caine thought.

"You three go on ahead, get in your armors and wait for me at the end of the Tau corridor outside the Akuro...your already cleared for launch ‘cause it's a scramble mission...I will meet you out there. " she headed out the door, saying coldly "Dismissed."

Camellia saluted and after a moment made for the door as well. She made her way to the bay and got re-dressed in her armor. There she waited.

Caine got up in a huff and saluted stiffly, his face showing his distain for the mission in general and went to get his Kylie back on, his only friend on this accursed mission. "This mission sucks." He sighed.

Jaq stood up and saluted and went for the armor room. He took up the bag that held his trophies and kissed it for good luck. "This should be a grand day out!"

"Oh shut up." Caine said irately as he got his helmet on after suiting up and getting into the armor and stretched. "I'd rather be escorting the ship than go on this deathtrap."

"Knock it off both of you." Camellia snapped as she gave them both a rap on the back of their helmets.

"Hmph." Caine got on the launching pad and shot off into space again, he'd already suited up, helmet and all and did a few impetuous back flips and barrel rolls on space and waited for the others. "I wonder where our Lazy CO is..." he mused.

Camellia launched and Followed Caine. Then bopped him on the helmet. "Watch your mouth."

Jaq took off into space and set himself on the flight plan. " come on this is our first mission together so lets get along and get over the fact that some of us don't want to be here"

The cadet had launched from the other bay, she could hear every word they said into their comms. A frown formed on her face as she maneuvered herself into the Tau flight corridor. She came over the comm "Ok...set your drives to maximum we have a lot of ground to cover...Heading and location in the cluster is already in your computers...Lets move Theta flight group.! I want a diamond formation...Camellia you take lead, Caine and Jaq you take up the other two positions. I got the rear for now.." she waited a moment and then said "Engage engines..."

Caine scowled darkly in his helmet and took off after her after setting the settings and coords as well, or just follow Camellia.

"Gladly Ma'am Drives engaged" Jaq waited until the others started to take off. "Lets do this" He then discharged his engines and accelerated further into the void.

"I got the vessel up on my scanners, all I can get is some indefinite readings on its outer dimensions and those are sketchy at best. Some kind of damn field is distorting any kind of sensor solution I attempt to bring up. We are going to have to rely on visual..." she craned her neck slightly, then ordering them "drop to 'point one c' lets try and take this slow guys." There the Behemoth lie, only a few minutes of flight from where they dropped out of FTL. "I can't detect any kind of active energy sources, but we know nothing about its capabilities...Jaq, head out on a parabolic fly by around it...see if you can see anything, Caine...Camellia hold formation...â€

Camellia watched the doors close from her position by the control box. "Well... That was unexpected..." She muttered as she turned her attention back to the runes. Looking them over, deciding to push the third rune this time.

"Yeah, I just hope we can reopen it somehow." Caine said.

The third rune was pressed and the door to the passageway leading into the rest of the ship opened. Kaoru said after the sensor readouts changed, "Temperature, pressure and atmosphere are now at safe levels. I say we pop the top and see what is in this tin can. We can worry about getting it to open again later. Good work Cam." She moved positioning her armor towards what seemed to be a platform, probably used for whatever craft were carried by this ship, strangely there was no sign of any mecha or vehicles in the bay.

Camellia blinked inside her helmet. "Um, thanks?" She responded, not really sure what the hell she did. But, praise is well earned, she surmised as she moved to a similar platform to deck out.

Caine watched the two, curious to what the platforms did and looked around the bay. "This is weird...A ship with a launch bay this huge, and no signs of any mecha or vehicles anywhere. Shouldn't there be something in here to indicate? Like scrape marks, spilled paint, stuff like that?" Caine asked. 'Which means either this is not a mecha or vehicle docking bay or two whoever used this place used organics..." He speculated.

A few moments later Karou was standing on the platform stark naked, stretching backwards she commented "Safe but not comfortable" she noted, feeling the difference in atmosphere on her breathing and the chill of the newly warmed air on her ivory flesh, her nipples stiff and tiny goose bumps forming as she began opening her CFWE pack. Her eyes scaled the walls, and then the floor...she too wondered what this place would of been used for. The now broken and shut down fuel lines even more curious with the absence of armors or any other vehicles.

Camellia, being far more conservative then her commander, was making sure she was protected by her armor while attending to her CFWE pack, all the while shivering in the thin, chilly air. "I-I wo-wonder what th-things were kept here..." She said between chattering teeth as she pulled her CFWE uniform on.

"You're not the only one." Caine said and got on the platform and decked out as well and stretched, and brushed a hand through his blonde hair a couple times to make himself look decent at least. He hoped they wouldn't notice that he was....at attention, looking at the CO some and averted his eyes quickly and got the CFWE and the uniform inside and pulled it on.

Camellia worked her hands through the sleeves of her shirt and accidentally looked over at Caine while doing so. Freezing in shock and surprise, her cheeks turned a very vibrant red as she then turned her gaze to the floor and tried to get her shirt on all the more quickly.

She put on her uniform, responding to Camellia "Whatever it was, it appears to not be here now. There was some sort of fuel in those lines before the ship shut them down when we activated the controls. What amazes me is that this ship was obviously well constructed to have traveled so long without succumbing to the damages of ....." Her eyes widened as Caine emerged from his armor with a hardon "...." her jaw creaked open slightly for a second before she snapped it up again. ...Go figure...so that's what it takes to get him at attention, ill have to do the briefings naked.. "Ok Stiffy get into that uniform....everyone got their sidearm..?" a second past and she burst out laughing "other than Caine...?"

Caine shrugged and quickly got the pants belted and the undershirt on, leaving the jacket open and spun the sidearm on a finger, with the safety on and put it in the holster. "Oh funny Ishimaru-san" he sighed, and then shrugged, he was used to it by now. "Can't blame my natural bodily reactions now can I?"

Camellia giggled some at the statement Karou made while rooting through her CFWE pack, pulling out her Type 28 10mm and gun belt. Rooting more, she pulled out three clips and slid them into straps along the belt. "Yes ma'am." She muttered while lacing the belt so it rested loosely against her left hip.

Karou then checked the laser on her Type 28 Special with its brilliant purple color and then holstered it into her gun belt "Ok people if we get separated, we try and make our way back here...Try and keep a relative bearing on how far we go and where we are heading." she then motioned towards the opened door "Your first 'Stiffy', lead the way... I will take up the rear."

Camellia giggled again as she took center point. "So, the brave hunters go forth to find the rebel Siegfried then?" She asked to no one in particular. She then unholstered her gun and raised it. "With my blade Nothung, I am invincible!"

Caine rooted in his CFWE and pulled out a communicator/scanner he'd bought on Hikari and flicked it open. "Don't call me that." he said in a grumble and headed for the door and stepped into the doorway and peeked out looking down the hallway in both (if applicable) directions. He sighed, hearing Camellia speak his gun in his hand and stepped out leading the way with the gun as the scanner recorded a minimap of the area

"My Hero...." Karou snickered as she looked back towards her armor after watching Camellia's performance. Lets just hope we live to see this bay again...she felt uneasy all of a sudden, her hand rested on her Type 28. Caine would notice that the map generated on his scanner was inaccurate and blurred, the metals and energy fields on the ship were interfering, it only accurately showed what was immediately in front of him, which was a short corridor opening up into a larger chamber with a door coming off to the North, and another to the east. The corridor was dark, as that there was no power in this area, Karou flicked on her handheld flashlight and shone it ahead of them. The walls were a green color with a dull orange stripe at about chest level, darkened panels and inactive access stations

The air was heavy and cold, as that life support throughout the ship seemed to be operating in a standby mode, even with the different air it was lacking. The room the corridor opened up into was dark, and from where they stood they really couldn't see much.

"And the Nebligen were to work at their anvils in the dark, depths of Neblehiem. Lo, their hammer and anvil filled the darkness with a steady hum..." Cam muttered as she shivered in the bitter chill. "For the love of Woden, it's fucking cold in here!" She then exclaimed as she wrapped her arms around herself.

Caine paused and looked at his scanner and cursed and just put it in a pocket after turning it off, it would be no use here. Like a gentleman, he pulled off his jacket and pinned his rank pin on his pocket fringe on his pants and draped it over her shoulders and smirked at her. "here." he said and slowly proceeded forward, keeping a eye out for sudden movement or the like as well as doors and such.

"Yea seems to be getting colder the further we get from the bay. We may not get far afterall, that is unless we can find a way to turn some of this stuff on." Karou wasn't feeling the cold that bad, her body was a bit more resistant to it. She stopped, shining her flashlight onto one of the panels. It was dark and didn't seem to be active. She then continued forward, stopping while Caine gave Camellia his jacket. Always a gentleman...I bet she said "Come on, let's go..."

"Hopefully we'll find something active." Caine said.

Camellia blushed slightly at Cain's action, pulling the jacket closed as she followed behind, her head lowered. "A forbidden love it was. Siegfried and Seiglade..." She said while a small shiver ran up her body.

Caine looked over at the panel where the light had been flashed and sighed, brushing his hair behind his pointed ear. Caine kept a sharp eye open for anything active as he went along. He wondered in the back of his mind what Cam meant by her denunciations.

Upon reaching the room, they would be greeted by a small light in the center of the ceiling, concentrating down on a podium at the front of the room, A large dark screen, that seemed broken behind it. The room was a mess, littered with debris, broken metal chairs. The door to the north, closed all the way, But the door to the east seemed jammed open with one of the broken chairs ..."Wowa...what the hell happened on this ship? Looks like the house keepings out for the night..." She stopped, giving Caine and Camellia the opportunity to look around before they moved on.

Camellia walked up to podium and gave it a once over, letting her hand glide over it's surface while holding Cain's jacket closed with one hand. "This. This must be the Rinegold." She muttered, her voice taking on a more accent flavor.

Caine walked over to the screen and looked at the podium, his back to the screen and thought about it. "I looks like there was a meeting of sorts going on and they got attacked, that'd explain the lack of mecha, the shut down of the ship, the open bay, and minimal life-support and this mess." he said and walked to the podium beside Cam and looked it over for papers or something.

"Yea but what kind of minimal life-support runs for a thousand years?" Karou asked not expecting an answer "Or that could have been turned on by us..." She looked through a pile of bent metal chairs, looking for something, anything. On the podium, was a small metal card with what seemed to be a crystalline projection on the right hand side, that had a funny 8 pointed radial shape, the card had more of the strange runic writing. There was also a few other things, a small cube and what appeared to be a data tablet that was cracked, and a strange pistol shaped device.

Camellia picked up the card. Flipping it over and over in her hand, she admired it's design. "I found something. It looks like a keycard." After perusing some more, she called again, "and others..." She said while hefting the newly acquired swag.

"Hmm...? What's this?" Caine asked, picking up the pistol shaped device and examined it very cautiously.

Karou looked up from her mess, tossing a chair to the side she then headed over to them "Strange, should we hang onto them or leave them where it is we found them?" She asked looking them over. "Looks like a weapon maybe...." she noted looking at Caine's find.

"They might be important." Caine said and tried to figure out just how it worked if it was a weapon. Pointing the thing away from the others, incase it decided to fire.

Camellia looked at the card and cube. "We should keep them." She said with a nod as she slid the card into her sleeve and placed the cube in a pocket in Caine's jacket. "One never knows when the treasures of the Rine return to it." She muttered what seemed like a proverb. "If they're here, they must lead us somewhere else." She said again, as to explain what she meant.

A small green conical flame emerged from the tip, extending out about 3 centimeters when Caine's finger moved over the trigger-like area, Karou jumped back, not expecting it "Careful with that! Damn Stiffy, what if that blew out the damn bulkhead and we were now floating outside?" obviously this situation had her a bit on edge.

"Whoa shit." Caine said pulling his finger back from the trigger area. "I said don't call me that" Caine growled. "Guess I shouldn't play with what I don't know about huh?" he asked. "I'd like to take it with me as it might have use but I want to be safe about it..." he said. "I it activated when my finger moved over the area it might go off if I pocket it" he said and put it on the podium carefully

"Hmm..." Camellia murmured as she walked over to the chairs. "Have you found anything here yet, ma'am?" She asked as she shifted a broken chair to the side.

"Nothing yet...â€

Karou smiled at Caine a second "Okay Mr. Mac feely, why don't you strut your shit back to those back consoles and snoop around, Camellia check out that center console, I will look around up here." Karou ran a finger over the shiny onyx surface of the panel, a thick layer of dust coming off on her finger "What stories these walls could tell...." she commented.

Camellia didn't pay attention to Karou, to absorbed in her chill induced dream world while she fiddled with the control console on the table. " Woglinde, wachst du allein?" She asked as she looked up at something... " Lass sehn, wie du wachst!" She muttered as she pressed one of the runes on it.

Caine blushed slightly and looked at Cam's sudden gibberish and jumped when she pressed a random rune. "Camellia! don't press random stuff?" He asked in surprised and sighed and went to the panels in the back and gently ran his fingers over the panel for a moment and blew the dust off. "Hopefully we'll make it talk Ma'am.â€

Caine stepped into the Generator room and whistled. "Ok this place is huge." he said and looked over at the spheres and the broken rods. "Yeah" he said to Jaq. "Let's get this thing going so we don't freeze."

Debris covered the floor, some even sat on top of the three oval workstations in the center of the room, on the floor just below where the 4 tubes crossed from sphere to sphere, 2 of the tubes were intact, the other two were broken. On the floor in the debris was 1 broken tube fragment, and then a control panel with two tubes extending out from it on either side that are broken off at the ends. It was obvious that these two broken parts belonged in the two places where the tubes were, but which went where? and how would they repair the breaks...No tools seemed to be in open sight. Only the center workstation appeared to have panels lit...Karou headed towards the ladder which lead up to the walkway that went around up above...saying "I'll look around up here, we got to fix this thing.."

"Well then..." Jaq said while picking up on of the fragments of rod in his hands. "Looks like this might be the missing piece for in there. As to how it broke off.... Pff." Jaq walked up to the core and studied the fracture pattern on the shard he had and on the core and tried to find where it could be snapped back into place

Camellia wandered towards the central work station, and using the sleeve of Caine's jacket, swept the debris from it and examined the station. "Perhaps, a look at the centre of the problem will shed light how to mend the edges, yes?"

"Perhaps." Caine said looking from Jaq to the control panel where Cam was and studied it for a moment after walking over. After sighing at his lack of technical expertise, he looked up at the ladder where Karou was and followed it up with his eyes to see where it went.

Karou looked down from the walkway after a quick look around "Nothing up here...on this side anyway..." Camellia would notice the station had three basic areas, three triangular controls with a circle in the middle, each had a glyphic rune and the center was flashing. Then a display screen that showed a diagram of the two chambers, and the flashing lightning symbol between them.... Another panel had six rectangular control buttons and what appeared to be a ten sided hole above it, the buttons on it were not lit. Meanwhile Jaq would see the fragment with the control panel fit into the lowest broken tube area, only problem was...nothing to hold it into place...How would they mend it? No tools around, or was there?

"We should be careful, we don't know what'll happen if we activate it; something could overload from the damage and explode. If indeed a battle occurred here, it's a definite possibility to happen in something we haven't' found out yet." Caine added

"Well I found out were THIS goes, too bad we don't have a spot welder or something... Wait a sec!" Jaq pulled out the strange looking gun he took from the briefing room. "This looks kind of like it could work! Let's say we try it out?"

Caine jumped at the scream and rushed for the ladder as well, unarmed at the moment as he'd need two hands to climb up quicker. "What's wrong?!"

From the ceiling the five hung from leather straps that had once been apart of their uniforms. The grayish green bones had no flesh, just the hanging shreds of black and green uniforms. It obvious from the massive holes and dark stains around them that hanging had been the least of which had killed the five. Now with the life support system fully engaged, they swayed back and forth in the breeze from one of the vents. Karou's eyes locked on them. Oh my god....what ...happened to them? She uttered..."ugh...â€

Caine looked from Cam and the card to the door, back to the slot and sighed; holding his gun at the ready in case it didn't work and more of those things showed up. "I hope this works."

"You and me both, Brunhilde." Camellia muttered as she looked over her shoulder to the doorway.

Jaq sighed. "Damn it wish something would happen. The battle is not the worse part, the worse part is wait for something to fracking happen!" Jaq said more to himself keeping watch down the halls

The door opened, one of the anti-personnel drones entered the room just as the card was swiped. FORGE responded "Authorization accepted, Tal'nar. Weapons authenticated for carrier use." Karou whirled around her Type 28 aimed right at the drone. All it did though was float there, responding to FORGE to deactivate its previous routine. "Looks like we done it guys....Seems whatever you did turned these bastards off."

Caine looked ready to fire on the drone when it entered and started to nervously laugh when the authentication came through. "I swear we're the luckiest bastards in the universe at this moment." he said in a relieved tone and put the weapon away. "Guess we won't need these anymore and can continue our investigation as to what happened here now that security won't chase us like endangered rhinos."

"This is far to uneasing, having this thing right here.... Hummm I wonder.... Guns up, Drone leave this room." Jaq said the last part in an authoritative voice. after that left his lips his mind raced praying that It would do what he expected and heed his words and leave because it would think that they were the security forces. "please please please please.â€
