RP: 5th XF Mission 004-03: Early Arrivals (YSS-Yukika)

He seemed rather uncomfortable, Aoiko mused to herself. Her thoughts were interrupted by the incoming message, however, and her hand went back to the intercom switch.

"Attention Kimura Jatsu, Roger Kard, Izusuhara Hikomaru, Soga Suika, Aganata Akira. Please stand by to attend the starboard docking bay. Shoi Adlich will be arriving presently. I expect you all to make an excellent impression."

"Watch them coming without having to walk to the bridge... Gotta turn on this one then" - Hikomaru added to his walk mumbling to himself. The last episode he had with the Shoi Adlich didn't end as he would hoped or expected, streesed now that he was going to not only give the best results in battle, but also had to aid in the bridge of any infortunate attack that would affect the crew. That made Hikomaru a bit uncomfortable, but he was ready for it.

The soldier, consecuently, arrived first to the meeting place.

Leaning himself against the wall, crossing his arms, and keeping his face high, staring to nothing in special, he awaited for anyone to appear, caring not who would be.

Attention Kimura Jatsu, Roger Kard, Izusuhara Hikomaru, Soga Suika, Aganata Akira. Please stand by to attend the starboard docking bay. Shoi Adlich will be arriving presently. I expect you all to make an excellent impression.

Suika completed the inventory entry she had been working while she listened to the intercom. She stood up from her seat on a crate with a sigh. It would have been nice to get some more of this done now, she thought, oh well, it will have to wait I suppose. Making a slight detour to set the datapad on one of the workbenches on the deck she headed towards the aft end of the room, heading for the companionway leading to the starboard power armor bay. As she walked she checked her uniform, making sure everything was in order and, of course, to code.

Upon reaching it she grabbed one of the upper rungs on the ladder and in two quick, fluid steps, made possible by the neko's impressive strength and aided by slightly lower gravity within the bay, popped out of an alcove on the port-for corner of the bay.

Looking around she spotted a man leaning against the far wall. Not recognizing the man, one of the two most recent new crewmembers no doubt, she walked towards him.

"Hello, I am Itto Hesho Soga Suika, the new Operations officer aboard the Yukika. May I ask what your name and position is?â€

Roger tucked away the engineering pad under his arm; the report on the recent engine malfunctino would wait for another day. "You know, you didn't have to announce me as well, I'm standing right next to you." He paused for a moment to stretch, and then began to head for the rear doors to the bridge. "Don't think I've forgotten; I'll regale you with boring technicalities of spilled hemosynth yet." Waving his hand to open the door as he approached, he made his way quickly to the starboard deck lest he keep the incoming CO waiting. Shoi Adlich, eh? Guess it sounds better than Cadet.

"Well, alright then..." Jatsu said, backtracking a few steps to go down the corridor he had just passed. He smiled faintly. She said my name first.

He walked into the docking bay and noticed the man who cut in front of him to the bridge with a neko. Well, I guess I'll just leave them alone, he thought, then grinned. Besides, I'm sure I can find more important people to be with while waiting for Shoi Adlich. Adlich? Adlich...that sounds familiar for some reason. Oh well, whatever. He leaned against the wall next to the door, turning his head so he could see down the hall.

"Greetings" - Hikomaru answered to the blue haired neko, taking a straight position now, bowing before continuing. - "I am Nitô Heisho Izusuhara Hikomaru, power armour pilot assigned to Tactics and Weaponry on this ship." Then extended his hand as well, shaking hands with Suika. - "Nice to meet you".

The geshrin looked behind the girl, noticing another person incoming, which happened to be the man he encountered outside the bridge.

Trying to not laugh at the memory and make an outburst like the last time, Hikomaru just smiled back to Suika - "So.. on what you ship you were before being assingned to the Yukika?"

"Yukika, I am on approach to the aft armor bay. Open the bay doors, but do not drop the force-field." Corro ordered as his large armor came within range of the scout ship. This being the first time Corro had seen his own command, a bit of pride swelled within him. He was moving on, and quite possible upwards.

Inside the armor bay the doors at the far end rumbled and then began to slide open, opening a window to the vast space beyond. The force-field protected any of the occupants from being removed from the depressurization. Out in the distance a small moving shape was seen moving quickly towards them.

Interesting... I only see... Corro's thoughts trailed off as he began to decelerate into a landing.

His touch down was standard procedure, the Super Phalanx floating in before hovering above the ground and gently coming to rest on the deck. The armor was caked in a thin layer of ice, which quickly faded away to nothing thanks to the Yukika's temperatures and the armor's own countermeasures.

The custom horned helm of the Super Phalanx swept from left to right across the room. Corro was taking into account just who his top crewmembers were. He noticed Roger from before as well as Hikomaru. But the others didn't stand out to him as much.

"Good evening ladies and gentlemen." Corro started off softly. He had still not removed his helmet, so the powered armor's voice amplifier was projecting his speech. "I am Shoi Corro Adlich. I this ship's commanding officer and overseer. I expect to be addressed properly as 'Shoi' or 'Sir'. I want to make this clear that we will have no breeches in structure here. Now then."

The Super Phalanx took several short steps forward before stopping at an empty wall rack. Placing both his hands on his helmet, Corro twisted it until a click echoed from it and then he slowly pulled it from his head.

"I respectfully ask all the personnel present to identify themselves." The Nepleslian looked on with a stern look to the crew.

"Attention! Commanding officer on deck!" Aoiko called out, rather redundantly, as she strode into the docking bay and up to Corro. She bowed deeply, and in a somewhat softer tone of voice, said, "Cadet Murasaki Aoiko, Executive Officer, sir. Welcome aboard the Yukika. I am sure you will find everything to your satisfaction."

Most recently I was an instructor at the Imperial Academy*, but before that I served aboard the carrier Hakiri. She paused when she heard a soft click and then a low whir from the bay doors as they began sliding aside, exposing an impressive starscape beyond.

Looking back at Hikomaru
It looks like the Shoi is about to arrive, so we will have to finish this conversation latter.

She made one final check of her uniform before snapping to attention as the power armor, presumably worn by the Yukika's new Shoi. She raised her hand to a crisp salute once the armor landed and began to speak. She was about to introduce herself when the XO walked into the hangar. Suika waited for the XO to finish before introducing herself.

Itto Heisho Soga Suika, assigned as Operations Officer, sir.

Hikomaru's just nodded to Suika's words, noticing as well the commander's arrival, reconogizing his super phalanx inmediatly. He saluted at him at the first sight.

After the other two nekovalkyrja intervention, Hikomaru stepped up to make his own.

"Nitô Heisho Izusuhara Hikomaru, assigned in Tactics and Weaponry. Honored to be under your command again, sir."

Well, son of a gun, there's the old commander. He snapped to a ready stance upon Aoiko's call to attention, and awaited his turn in the announcement order. After the most recent newcomer made his introductions, Roger snapped a salute. "Joto Hei Roger Kard, Chief Engineer. Good to see you in command again, sir."

Jatsu snapped to attention on Aoiko's call. Damn, that was fast, he thought. He introduced himself after Roger, "Joto Hei Kimura Jatsu, Communications. It's an honor to be under your command, sir." He looks familiar, too, he thought.

Corro nodded silently at each of statement of names and assignments. When the final names called Corro bowed deeply in his powered armor before beginning again.

"With that settled I hope you all are completely aware that we are about to begin a reconnaissance mission for the 5th Fleet, following an inspection by the Taisho herself." Corro began to dismount from his Super Phalanx, removing the armor slowly. "I expect dress uniforms for all of you and the other crewmembers as well. I will not have us looking ill-kept in Motoyoshi's presence."

With the armor removed Corro retrieved his last items from it's cargo pouch. Namely his datapad and a hat. With a flick of his cybernetic arm he opened the hat and carefully set it on his crew cut scalp. The insignia of the 5th Expeditionary Fleet clearly visible on the hat's exterior.

"Now then. I want a status report of all the systems and stations. Starting with you, Cadet Aoiko." Corro pointed to Aoiko with his free left hand, while his right fiddled with his datapad, opening it.

Aoiko bowed again. "Sir, all crew have reported in and all assignments have been made. We have already completed diagnostics. We have been informed of Taisho Motoyoshi's impending inspection, and I have recieved our mission objectives. The crew can be briefed and we may get underway instantly."

((Let's just insert everyone else's reports and Corro's departure in there later, shall we?))

Aoiko silently watched the power armour shrink into the distance. She squeezed her eyes shut momentarily, then turned around to face the assembled crew.

"Now, his orders still stand. I would like all senior personell - that is, everybody here - in dress uniforms. Post-haste, please. We may meet on the bridge afterwards for a proper briefing." She paused for a moment to glance around. "That will be all for now. Get changed, please." And with a brief bow, she strode towards the doors.

Well, that was rather abrupt, Jatsu thought as he watched the Shoi's armor leave. He looked over toward Aoiko and smiled faintly. Well, I guess she's in charge... He watched as she walked out, then quickly headed toward the door himself. Damnit, so much to do...need to get dressed, should probably give MEGAMI some personality before the Taisho gets here, and it'd really be nice to get some alone time with Aoi...

What the f-

Roger had to stifle snorting out into laughter as Corro got BACK into his armor, nearly perfectly mirroring the movements he made coming in, and left. "Holy freaking administration. I don't think I'll ever understand HR..." With a shrug, Kett lazily spun on a heel and headed back toward the wardroom where his personal items still lay flat on his bed. "Ah yes, I'd forgotten how much I hated these things," he muttered as he donned the white uniform. With a futile attempt to buff his engineering pad, he stretched a bit, and headed toward the bridge. Oh, Jatsu, Jatsu, Jatsu. Get ready to be roasted endlessly on the bridge by yours truly now that your SO is also your CO...

'Red shirt, grey shirt, white shirt,' Aoiko mumbled to herself as she wheeled her two trunks from a stateroom, along with a cloth-wrapped shaft sitting atop them, threatening to scratch the paint on the ship's corridor. "Red pins, white pins, XO, CO, apartment, double-room, single-room, captain's quarters... I'll be changing the colour of my hair, soon." She stopped short as the MEGAMI addressed her - "Seitô Murasaki, an incoming call from Taiie no Iori." Aoiko paused a moment, checking that her dress whites were straight and her hair was all going in the proper direction before nodding. "Hai, MEGAMI. Give me a screen, please."

MEGAMI presented the image of a human Yamataian, brown wavy hair held behind her in a bushy ponytail. Her green eyes were glittering in the pale light of the Iori. "Seitô Murasaki," the Yamataian said, a soft smile on her face. She wore a Seitô pin and grey panels.

Aoiko stood up a little straighter, clasping her hands behind her back. "Hai, Seito-san," she said, bowing slightly. "May I ask to whom I have the pleasure of addressing?"
The woman looked down at her rank pin and sighed, a resigned smile on her face. "Though my rank pin does not believe me, I am Taii Suzuka Yukari, flag aide to Taisho Motoyoshi Katsuko."

Aoiko flushed slightly, and her eyebrows darted upward. Bowing again, quite a bit deeper, she said, "Please forgive me, Taii. I was not aware." She squeezed her eyes shut, willing the redness to fade without much success, then straightened back up. "How may I help you, Taii?"

"By relaxing." Yukari's smile brightened. "You need not bow so low, Murasaki-Seitô. I was the same as you not 30 hours ago." The picture spun around a corner, following the Taii. "And there are Taiis across the fleet who are more prestigous than me. Besides, I am calling to know who's ship I will be inspecting soon."

Aoiko exhaled quietly as Yukari spoke, her shoulders lowering slightly. "Flag aide is a rather prestigous position, mind you!" she said, her eyebrows raising slightly. "And, after that bit of administrative shuffle, we should be ready to recieve you very shortly. May I ask when you are planning to arrive?"

"The Taisho has not yet told me, but it should be within the next day or two." The picture turned another corner. "I was interested in meeting the Shoi ... I assume he was lost in the 'shuffle?'"

Aoiko nodded. "He appears to have been rather suddenly assigned away from the Yukika. I am commanding in his absence, and was, in fact, just moving into the captain's quarters." She turned slightly, and gestured to the objects behind her.

Yukari's head rose up, as if she were standing on tip-toes, to see them. "You, at least, should have time to unpack ... my footlockers are still full." She flashed an embarrassed smile. "You are enjoying your new post?"

Aoiko glanced up at the ceiling for a moment. "It is... Interesting. I..." She paused, glancing around, and spoke with a slightly lower voice. "I actually have no command experience, so I do desperately hope nothing out of the ordinary occurs. I would actually quite like to be back in a supportive role."

"Sou, sou ... I was expecting the same. Fate has made officers out of us -- a strange coincidence, neh?" Yukari smiled.
Aoiko nodded, slowly. "If I may ask," she said, a bit hesitantly, "are you in the advanced training programme as well?"

Yukari shook her head. "I trained for a year at the Kyoto officer's academy to be an intelligence officer. The only advanced training I have is my piloting." She smiled. "It is nice to know you are on 'the fast track!' Your reports speak well of you."

Aoiko's eyebrows flitted upward again. "Ah, you are trained for Intelligence? I would love to attend the Academy, myself. I have a bit of a passion for cryptology that lacks an outlet at the moment, so I am hoping to receive an Intelligence post after my tour here."

The sound of a door opening could be heard through the image. "I am afraid cryptology was not my specialty -- I was trained in research." The light on Yukari's face dimmed, but that made her eyes only brighter. "Ah, my room again." Brighter still. "So, Murasaki-Seitô -- the Shoi. What is he like?" The giddiness on her face was obvious.

"The Shoi?" Aoiko tilted her head slightly. "I have not had much opportunity to speak with him personally, unfortunately. He is very professional, quite competant, and nicely polite. I was looking forward to serving under him."

"Mouuu," Yukari pouted. "He does not stir you when you see him? He seems ... very potent."

There was a pause, as Aoiko's eyes flickered around the hallway. "How exactly do you mean, potent?" she said, her voice dropping just slightly.

"You know ... potent." Yukari's smile broke into a innocuous yet lusty grin.

Aoiko's hand strayed up to caress her cheek as she glanced down slightly. "Mmm... I don't know about that," she said softly, going a little red again.

"Oooooooh! Sou desu ka!" Yukari shook her finger. "Bad Seitô!" She only smirked wider. Her eyes were like little green stars on the screen. "I cannot know more, it would be too much."

Aoiko quickly clapped a hand over her mouth, her head still inclined downward. After a few moments, she looked back up. "Mind you!" she said, raising a finger. "There is a very nice young man who, while perhaps not potent, is very nice, who I shall be staying with for the time being. You are more than welcome to the Shoi in my eyes."

"Ohhhh? Hmmm ... no, the Shoi is much better 'eye sweets.'" Yukari thought about her words. "'Eye sweets' ... that is not right." She shook her head. "I am glad to hear you have someone, Seitô ... it must be nice."

Aoiko nodded slightly. "It is, rather. I believe the Shoi should be around the Iori... Perhaps you could look for him?"

"Perhaps." Yukari blinked for what seemed like the first time in the conversation. "For now, though, I should attend to my other duties." She bowed, the screen following her. "It has been a pleasure, Murasaki-Seitô."

Aoiko straightened back up, and bowed a little bit lower. "It has been, Suzuka-Taii. I look forward to the inspection, and I hope it will please you. Sayonara."

"I have no doubts, Seitô. Sayonara." The image winked out.

As she walked briskly back to her quarters, Suika wore a slight smile at the personnel screw up that had just been demonstrated. "Quite amazing thatâ€

Aoiko, having set her trunks just inside the door of her second new room in the day, adjusted her uniform in the mirror before walking round to the bridge. She sighed as she settled back into her seat, glancing around the room. My command now, mmm? she thought to herself as she waited for the rest of her staff to arrive.

Jatsu qucikly changed into his dress uniform, then headed down the halls for the bridge. Damnit, I hope I have enough time for this AI, he thought.

Roger cycled the bridge doors and stepped in without much of either pomp or circumstance. This was about the sixth time he'd been through those doors, and really, the whole "grandeur of the bridge" thing was highly overrated, in his opinion. "Cadet," he greeted the CO with, saluting and then flicking his eyes around. Hm. Wonder where loverboy sits on duty...

Hikomaru stood up from the deck, finishing arranging his thoughts. His demeanor was for now aimed towards the military operations on the Yukika. Raising his wakizashi saya, which he carefully cleaned prior to come to the deck, he mumbled - " Well... pretty much whatever... i got duties to do, so ill be on it. At its best. Yosha!" . - He ended his own monologue taking his leave from the deck, and rushing towards the bridge.

Aoiko nodded at the three crew members as they each entered the bridge in turn. "Kimura, Hikomaru, Kard. All here? Excellent." She pulled herself to her feet and called up a holographic screen beside herself. "Please let me explain precisely what we will be doing here. Within two days, we will be inspected by Taisho Motoyoshi Katsuko and her staff. However, we do not know precisely when she will arrive, so I would like everyone at top performance until then. Very well?"

"Within two days, eh?" Jatsu asked. The left side of his mouth moved up into a smirk, "Is there anything specific that needs to be done other than giving MEGAMI some personality?" The other side of his moth then raised, forming a somewhat mischievous grin, "Or will we have a bit of free time?"

"Pshh," Roger exhaled, elbowing Jatsu. "Not that kind of top performance. And does it really have to be a snap inspection? It's not like I can chrome the tailpipes day after day to make 'em look good. Engines get kind of dirty no matter what you do to them." He shrugged. "Yahhwell. I'll do what I can."

"My duties here are restraint to any incoming event that could harm the crew. Even though, i'll be doing studies of the information we already have about the Murf system, as well coordinating operations with you ma'am in any eventual case of emergency. Being said that, i'd have a lot of work to do, so i'll be unlikely taking a free time."

"Giving the AI a proper personality is something I would like to see done as soon as possible," Aoiko said, nodding to Jatsu. "And yes, please, do what you can, Kard-san. From what you told me earlier, you and your staff have everything in hand downstairs. Excellent, Hikomaru-san. Murf may be dangerous, so I would like us to be prepared. Which brings me to my next point..." She gestured to the screen, and it flickered to life with an image of an asteroid belt. "Our first mission there will be to perform a detailed scan of this area, for two reasons - first, to assess the mining possibilities, and second, to secure the area from both possible Nepleslian rivals, pirates, or Mishhuvurthyar."

Aww, what about free time? Jatsu thought. This is already my second shift today...and I haven't had a moment alone with Aoi since finding out she loves me... "With your assistance, ma'am, I should have it done within the hour. I can handle the programming easily, but require your input for the personality."

"Oh? Yes, that is true, I definetly have things downstairs in ha-" ... wait a minute, did she just counter-zing me? Damn, she's good."-nd. Yeah. Hm. Anyway, if we happen to run avast yon pirates, what arrrrrrrrrrrre we going to do? I'm afraid we're fresh out of M-789 Timbers, Shivering, Personal."

The geshrin kept his semblance of seriousness, entirely focused about the conversation. He added in a firm tone -"Indeed ma'am, what really worries me is not finding mining spots, even though we will find crashing asteroids at high speeds, speeds that can crush a power armor in a blink; or extremely poisonous gases or flammables, which make us think about what kind of ammo we're going to use. What really worries me, is the mishu..."

"If we should run across the latter two of the above three," Aoiko calmly said to Roger, "I will say something to the effect of, 'Hikomaru-san, please make those ships not be there,' and he will fire torpedoes until this goal is accomplished. Ne, Hikomaru-san? That ought to mitigate the dangers of explosive gasses." She tilted her head slightly towards the tactical operator before turning back to Jatsu. "This will be perfectly acceptable. I will, of course, take any reccomendations as to names or personalities. Also..." She glanced to Hikomaru. "We lack well-trained and experienced power-armour pilots, as you may know. Will you have any difficulties securing the ship in case of boarding of any sort?"

Jatsu smiled. "Okay, then. So...shall we start after this briefing?" He turned to Roger. "You do know that we found pirates a couple light years from Murf a few hours ago, right? Half our Nozomi were sent to capture them..."

"Wait, what?" Roger looked over at Jatsu, then at Aoiko. "Is this true? How did I miss that? Son of a cannon..." He perked up for a second. "Ah, sir, if you don't mind me adding, I used to be a member... well sort of, of the 17th Power Armor Wing. Hell, I fixed enough of the damn things, I can certainly pilot one, and I'd say I'm a pretty good shot as well. If it comes down to blows, sir, I'd like you to consider me for a role in that as well. I haven't got any love for Nep raiders, or pirates"

"Most certainly not. We're on an exploration mission, so we will avoid the frontal assault. Defense-wise, we are capable of holding enemy forces from the distance. Dificulties may arise, but acting swift at the very moment is the key. And we are ready for that in this moment." He lowered his head for a second. "And yes, i am afraid we only count with few pilots..."

Jatsu nodded to Roger. "Yup. Hell, I was the one that detected them and forwarded the deployment orders..."

Aoiko raised an eyebrow slightly to Hikomaru, then nodded. "Very well, I will trust your judgement. I hope that you will have the Yukika as secure as she can be before the inspection. Kard-san," she said as she turned to the engineer, "You have been exemplary thus far. Keep doing what you have been doing." She nodded to Jatsu, finally, as she settled into her seat. "And we may begin right away. You have your orders, but first, does anyone have anything to say in regards to our MEGAMI?"

Well, as long as she's not a bitch like some other AI I know, I don't care all that much," Jatsu said. "I guess it would be best to design something the Taisho would like, but I have no idea what that might be."

"Tch!" Roger gave a shrug. "Can't argue with the boss. I'll have her running cleaner than a whistle by the time the Taisho comes through." Something the Taisho would like, eh? Well, there's an obvious answer to that one, but I don't think making an ethereal version of Akina would fly... "You think she'll ask about the engine trouble?"

Hikomaru saluted to Aioko - "Count with it, ma'am." Then he turned his glance to Jatsu, which obviosly was the man in charge of the MEGAMI "Well, i can give you an idea... think of the ship's name, and you will have a nice AI. But then again, im just a soldier".

Aoiko tilted her head slightly. "A... Bitch?" she asked quizically. "What, precisely, do you mean by that? And 'Yukika' refers to snow..." She raised her eyebrows toward Hikomaru. "I am not sure if any of you wish to work with a computer that's 'frigid,' mmm?" Looking up to Roger, Aoiko continued, "I do not believe she would. It was a very minor incident, and is likely expected from a ship just coming into service."

Jatsu looked down at the floor. "Erm...I can't really give out details. She's pretty good for the most part, but sometimes acts in a way I'd prefer she didn't." He looked back up, then added, "Also, naming the AI after the ship is rather boring. Taisa Shimizu refused to let Freya be named Akuro."

"Phew, that's a relief. It doesn't look good to have something bust on you, minor or expected or not. Snow eh?" Roger clapped a hand on Jatsu. "Here we go, Jatsu, how about a lonely, sad looking girl in the middle of a snowy scene? I can't imagine anyone else making someone who looks like that."

"Well, actually ma'am" Hikomaru addressed himself again towards Aoiko "I refered to it because of the "snowflower... frigid, yet gentle. Beautiful along the monotone landscape, the snow - the space -, making itself a way of light by its own beauty. A flower that sings with every sunshine, even the merciless clouds is not often that they keep the sky clear. And after all, is a strong warrior, which still stands powerful against the storms... that's what i tried to say..."

Aoiko pointed directly at Hikomaru, and looked to Jatsu. "That," she said flatly. "I want that."

Jatsu looked at Aoiko. "Oh, uhm...okay, then."

"... or we could go with that. Sure, that sounds good." Roger nodded.

Hikomaru smirked "I would be honored to have an AI like that". He stared the floor again, holding his jaw with his left hand "A name... a name..."

Aoiko glanced around the assembled staff. "I have no preferences," she said. "Anyone?"

Jatsu shrugged. "Well, I guess I could let MEGAMI choose her name the same way Freya chose hers..."

Roger raised an eyebrow. "How exactly was that, anyway?"

"Give her a comprehensive list of names, and have her choose one at random. Computer randomization isn't truly random, after all."

"And she chose Freya?" Roger asked. "Weird. Well, I guess that would work. I personally think we ought to at least narrow down the list a bit before we do that though, lest we end up with a MEGAMI we have to refer to as Bob. Not that I would mind personally, but I think the amusement would wear off for the lot of you."

Hikomaru sighed at the very moment Roger finished his observation "...indeed..."

Jatsu sighed. "Well, the namelists would obviously be limited to female names..."

"Well thanks, Jatsu. Personally, I think we should stick to uncommon names. That way it's clear and evident when we're calling upon the MEGAMI."

Hikomaru grasped his wakizashi hilt, and narrowed his glance "Well, in my opinion i think it should be a according her personality, even though, it has to be sticky enough for every crewman to like it. But alas, nothing that can fit her well comes from my mind..."

Aoiko leaned back in her chair slightly. "I was not aware that it was even possible to allow an artificial intelligence to choose a name for herself. If we cannot decide on something, that sounds like the best course of action."

Jatsu stretched. "Well, the two of us can figure it out after we get the personality in. No point in keeping everyone else standing around here."

"Fair enough. I should probably get back to the engines and make sure noone broke anything." Yet...

Hikomaru stepped forward. "I do concur ma'am. I'd wish to start with my duties as soon as possible".

"I would desire to participate in the refinement of the AI system," Suika said to Roger, "I believe most of the items where cataloged before I had to report to the hangar."

Aoiko nodded. "You do have the appropriate background, Sogo-san. Very well. If Kimura-san has no objections..? you may both attend the monitor room straightaway."

Jatsu glared at Suika, then looked toward Aoiko. "...well, if you say so, ma'am." Goddamnit...so much for some time alone...

Rog peered over at the multitude of expressions going across Jatsu's face and grimaced slightly. Ahh, I see. He gave Jatsu a hearty backslap and muttered under his breath. "Them's the breaks, guy. Keep persevering and you'll get your chance." Then, in a normal voice, "Good luck on your end, Kimura." And with that, he gave a nod and headed out to the engine room anew.

Hikomaru saluted to Aoiko "Well, if you excuse me ma'am, ill be on my way. Ill be checking over my power armor for the moment, but ill be right back to start my studies about Murf system" he turned back and headed again to the deck he was a moment ago.

"Thank you for allowing me to participate in this, Captain," Suika said, "and I look forward to helping make this ship a complete unit."
