RP: 4th Fleet (NSN) [Mission 3.3] Winds of Change

Cedric smiled, shaking his head, "You wouldn't make it very far as a Sapper, kid. You've got to get the attitude that as long as you aren't too stupid with 'em, that these things won't hurt you. Besides that, we aren't using plastic explosives for the primary element of this one because we have to make a bomb that doesn't cause a lot of damage."

With that said, he picked up a single one of the scalar pulse grenades. He worked quickly on it, and before very long it's black exterior was sitting on the table and he held up the charge: a disposable ZPE capacitor wrapped in a highly potent emitter. He held it so that Cadet Logan could see exactly what it was.

"This is all they are, sailor." He was still smiling, "As long as you're careful: they won't hurt you at all."

He set the capacitor down on the table and after a brief period of silent work, it was joined by five other identical charges. He tossed all the cases to the ground. Once that was done, Cedric reached over to another vase in which EMP grenades rested. Silently, he began doing the same as before. In a short time there were six capacitor charges and six EMP grenade charges resting on the table in front of him. All of the bodies were piled up on the floor at his feet.

"Now, sailor." He still had a smile on his face as he looked to Cadet Logan, "How do you propose we put arrange all this and make sure it stays together?"

Still no response from Sebastian as Alrik attempted to find his way through the barrage of weapons and explosions. Originally his tactic didn't work enough to actually do anything effective, he had to do something before they closed in around him. His hands would switch on the camouflage equipped with the Hostile and using his survival ability and specialty in gorilla warfare, he would attempt to hide himself away from the initial area and continue to pass around, so he could ambush them.

Even as she was feeding back basic data to F squad Rana was already working on her next move. So far they were suppressing their target, but the decisive blow still needed to be dealt...somehow. She could have added in her own weapons fire into the fray, but what would have been the point in that? The Rippers were doing their job admirably, something that she never thought would cross her mind. Then the Hostiles made their move, or rather Hostile.

In a blink of an eye it began to merge with what was left of the surrounding area and immediately she activated the full suite of her mono-eyes. Oh, surely it would light her up like a Christmas tree, but the Rippers needed the targeting data. Then raising her rifle she began to move towards cover with the observation probe straying just a few metres ahead.

"Enemy unit has activated camouflage systems, activating full sensor suite. Is the targeting data sufficient, sir?"

If Victor was the type to smile now would be quite the moment to do so. However, that wasn't his area of expertise. Punching, Kicking, shooting that came naturally. But expressing himself that was the real hassle. It didn't help that every natural instinct Victor had told him to be a cheeky smart aleck.

But he fought those instincts. After all that's what he'seemed that's something he always found himself "Now sir, I do believe I never started those fights. I did, however, make sure to finish them. Albeit it a little enthusiastically. There won't be any need to pound anything. I've gotten my less than exemplary behavior in check sir." Alright, it wasn't entirely true, but not every half-truth had to be a whole lie. He was working on his issues as best as he could.

Taking a better look at Captain Murdoch he definitely could see where the whole body snowboarding thing came from. The guy was imposing, probably came with the territory. But he didn't want to make today the day he personally found out exactly the quality of Murdoch's cybernetic fists. Not that it wasn't sounding more appealing the longer he stood in front of the man.

What the fuck? Kurt thought to himself, as he and Lisa were pulled down by Tyrellius behind the door barricade. The small splattering of paint on his face from the paintballs impacting and exploding on Tyrellius signaled that he and Lisa were the only two remaining in this training exercise.

However, instead of hearing a concentrated stream of fire directed onto their position, Kurt looked up and saw that the shots from the paintball guns were fairly inaccurate. Sure, you were liable to get shot if you stood up, but you stood less chance of getting shot if you stood behind cover and only exposed a portion of your body.

"Lisa, there isn't much cover for one of us to draw fire and the other flank." Kurt pulled the magazine of his rifle out, confirmed it to be full and slid it back in. "For the sake of ending this fucking thing without any more casualties, we're going to have to sit here and duke it out with them." Kurt pulled out his last rifle magazine with his left hand and sandwiched the magazine between his hand and the magazine in the gun, so that he would be able to reload quickly.

"Make sure you don't stick your head -above- the cover. The only living being stupid enough to stick their head above something to check out what's up are us." At that, Kurt shuffled to the right side of the barricade and got into a crouching position, ready to lean his body out.

"I'll fire a burst and get into cover. You start firing once I'm in cover." At that, Kurt leaned over the side to fire a burst at one of the hostile targets, aiming at the larger midsection in order to acquire his target and get a shot off as quickly as possible.

Lisa just nodded at Kurt. He obviously knew what to do. She was pretty angry that Tyr pushed them inside the room, she would rather stay in the doorway and fire from there. Lisa knew her magazine was not full, but there was still enough ammo. She took out spare mag and put it on the ground near her knee so she could get it faster then if she would be getting it from pocket.

When Kurt fired his burst and was getting back in cover Lisa leaned out too. But not at top of the table, but at its side. She fired longer burst at enemy on her side trying to blast red soldier into the oblivion and get back in cover.
