Ren simply stood her station, attempting to ignore the images of the dead that streamed across the aether. Its one thing to see the corpses and try to ignore them, but in depth scans and close ups are a totally other issue.

"Celia? Do you have what you need from this ship yet? Is there anything else I can do over here?"

“Feel free to move around, Hibiki-Hei,” replied the Celia. “Don't stray too far from Kuroaki-Hei though. I want you two to stay close to each other.”

There were, of course, bits and pieces of metal on the bodies: a zipper here, a few KS coins there. The Nepleslian carried a set of pliers and various other tools of a mechanic in his shirt pockets. The Yamataian man had what appeared to be a data pad in his pocket. And of course, there was the pendant and necklace around the Elysian's neck, which appeared to be made of gold or some other yellow metal.

Upon further examination, the pendant was actually a locket, which was currently closed.

“Kuroaki-Hei, you have my permission to retrieve the data pad from that man's body. See if you can get any info out of it,” said the Celia.

I wonder if a small transport outfit like this can afford any kind of backup tech... The corpses didn't bother Isuzu so much, but that errant thought did nag at her as she carefully reached into the man's pocket, stabilizing his body with her free hand so that he wouldn't go flying off in some random direction and disturb more of the area.

Extracting the data pad, Isuzu checked it for damage before attepting to turn it on. For good measure, she also began beaming a sequence of generic radio verification signals to the bodies, to see if they had any radio-reactive chips, cards or devices on them; an RF ID or payment account card would be ideal.

Ren decided to hold position and wait for further orders rather than follow her impulse and wander around the available areas of the ship for more information.

Instead she focused her attention on one bit and directed its flightpath. Examining every inch of the bellystabbers bridge, in detail. Looking for anything at all that might give more clues, even among the floating wreckage.

Ren still attempted to avoid the bodies in her inspection.

"Celia, have you gathered anything else useful from this mainframe?"
