Abwehran Commander said:
"Once I get up to the Bridge, come down and grab any available weaponry and armor that are left," she transmitted. "I'll protect the Taisa until you get back."

"Sounds like a plan," Miyoko responded.

Keeping her eyes trained on the door, Miyoko spoke to the air. "Miha- er, Hoshi. Did you suffer any hull breaches during the crash?"

"Yes," she quickly said, a counter at the bottom of her HUD keeping track of passed time. She relayed the channel to the rest of the Knights, letting them hear Yukari and Hinoto talk without being able to directly chime in. She also highlighted the next tunnel to take, above from where they were.

The stink of the Mishhu was filtered by the Daisy, but Yukari believed she still could taste it in her mouth. She sucked down a little sweetened water to wash it out.

A munitions magazine would be a splendid diversion, if I could identify one, she thought.

"Yuka-boss, ma'am." whispered the Malifarian over the channel, looking up at the next passageway that was relayed for them. He glided upwards toward it, aiming his Plasmathrower at the mouth of the entrance. "Iff'n we got one a'them shootin' drones, we could probably send it off t'cause some kind'a ruckus. Oh! Less' strap a grenade to 'tha barrel!" continued the Santo-Hei, now a little excited at his concept, "Juss' send it right up in tha middle of'm and boom! That'll get every kind a'mishhu on this side a'tha' ship crowdin' in one spot."

Kyou kept her position, but her eyes were roving constantly, trying to pick up on anything that might help them. With the sheer number of tools in this current room, she had to believe that this was something important, if not an ammunition depot. "I think it might be a good idea to try that here. It looks like there's something important going on in here, and we might even be near some form of ammunition storage."

Nyton studied the surroundings and tried to apply his knowledge of arsenals in general to identify what they were looking at. Unfortunately it was so alien that even with data files from other uploads of SMX ship internals it was hard to pinpoint what he saw. "Shosa, if we are to engage in sabotage then we must do so quickly to avoid detection at this junction. Melisson must have already surmised that we are attempting to invade her ship, just not exactly where. However she should also be aware by now that the Taisa is our most critical asset right now and is willing to commit the majority of her forces to eliminate her. Either we focus on speedy stealth, break through to the elevator, or we attempt to disrupt the assault on Hoshi." he calmly stated while remaining alert for any stealthed enemy soldier types.

"It is your call."

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Shizuka nodded. "Very well, Kurohoshi-Juni. We will go and provide whatever support we can to the defensive line. I may not be cut out for combat but we can at least bring weapons and ammunition to the defenders." she said.

"Be careful Masa-cha-er, I mean Kurohoshi-Juni." Akiko said with a bow before she left to follow her older sister. Immediately the two sisters went to find if there were any remaining Daisy suits available. After procuring one they each armed themselves with a LASR and loaded them with armor piercing ammunition magazines. Lightly armed mostly for defense, they were then rushing out to assist with the ant train of workers moving supplies and material for erecting barricades and setting up crossing fields of fire.

Tom joined in on the discussion over the private channel, which was more of a chiding yell initially.

"Please do NOT fire on the anti-matter torpedoes! We will be consumed in the blast! Remember what happened to Miharu!"

He paused after taking a deep breath.

"Ok. I believe it would be in our best interests to not cause a distraction unless absolutely necessary. If we need to engage enemy forces in order to advance to our objective, so be it, but we should do so discreetly if possible. The second we draw attention to ourselves, it will become increasingly difficult to reach the objective unmolested."

He looked towards the exit, although he was fairly sure nobody would see the gesture.

"Engaging enemies here is an unnecessary risk to the mission. We must rely on our stealth, our duty to reaching the objective and not be sidetracked by needlessly risky opportunism."

Nyton raised an eyebrow and grinned slightly. There was something enjoyable in hearing Tom be more assertive. It made him seem more Nepleslian.

"I must concur, Shosa. Our proximity to anti-matter torpedoes would not give us ample time to avoid the blast. Given that we can conclude the enemy is focusing their overwhelming numbers upon the ship I believe the longer routes may actually be quicker. There will be less enemy to encounter and as they converge farther away we may be able to more readily use the elevators further ahead." he said.

"Once again though, it is your call." Nyton then added, respectfully deferring to her rank. Having been in charge of previous Armor missions he had to remind himself a bit to who was present.

Yukari realized she enjoyed command of a ship much, much more than armored personnel.

"Hinoto-san, lead us to the elevator. We will survive the battle."

@Miyoko:

"I'm in surprisingly sound condition considering everything we've gone through," Hoshi's AI answered Miyoko. "I'm a little worried about the way Miharu's wreckage has been warped by the impact and that sealant Shlarvasseroth has been pouring around the hull breach; no one is free to inspect if either might prevent me from making separation when we need to leave."

@black Knights:

"Then it's still straight up, Knight Leader." Hinoto informed Yukari.

The 8 Daisy armors got underway, warily floating up the next tubular passage. Two squads of Mishhuvurthyar soldier elites - their shells and tentacles covered with their race's equivalent of body armor - passed them by.

They reached the next chamber, which was similar to the previous one in layout with half-a-dozen Mishhuvurthyar technicians present, most watching over the dodecahedron consoles, the many tentacles flying over the triangular and pentagram-shaped volumetric displays. Instead of massive weapon assemblies, the organic walls of these chambers appeared grafted throughout its surface with various equipment that seemed to belong more on sensor and communication towers more than anything. Part of the vessel's forward sensor array, perhaps.

"Change to Bearing 80 Mark 60," Hinoto announced, pointing them to a passage at Asher's upper right. "130 meters to elevator."

Masako smiled as the two left for the defensive line. Grabbing her helmet and holding the non-SLAG LASR in her other hand, she made her way to the bridge. While it was merely a short jaunt, her mind couldn't help but wonder towards the casualties. How was Tsuya at that moment? Was she okay? If the other Neko was fine, she'd probably be at the Defensive Line since most of the uninjured veterans had gone on the offensive.

Thoughts of that nature ceased once she entered the Bridge, all decked out in her helmet-less Daisy. "All right Saito-heisho," the Warrant Officer spoke. "Get whatever gear you can." she ordered with a slight tilting of her head towards the hatchway. "I'll keep things covered in here while you're gone."

"More'a tha' Type 1's." said Asher, floating on by as he observed the Mishhu's at work. As he hovered along, he began to think about the recent raid on Amaya's gate. Just like the infamous neko pair, the squadron was moving through hostile territory with not a single soul aware of their exact location. The Malifarian had never been too keen on stealth before, but he never thought it could feel so 'empowering'. This was different from lying in wait for an ambush; he was out in the open, on the move, and could 'still' catch near any enemy unaware.

As he floated up towards the Upper-Right passage he couldn't help but remember those times when he was young. Often, he snuck down the stairs for a snack out of the fridge, and whenever he got back up to his room successfully, he felt the greatest mixture of relief and joy.

Rin kept in position, floating along with the others, relatively happy that they didn't go boom with some anti-matter explosion. Of course it was the enlisted who would think to start a firefight in the middle of ordinance storage that would make the bad day that much worse. The sprite wanted to do... something to teach them a lesson for their apparent idiocy, but then this wasn't the time nor the place.

To get her mind off of the idiocy, Rin observed the Misshu's equipment, wondering, briefly, how they could use such strange looking equipment... but these thoughts quickly morphed back into anger for their past misdeeds. She quickly shifted her interest to just making sure she didn't fly straight into something, trying to keep away from ideas that would make her want to shoot something.

Miyoko nodded along with the Hoshi status update. "Well, for now, if you're in good shape, that's a good start... it means less holes for us to watch for mishhu coming through." She pondered the situation for a few more moments before adding, "Can you still access the Miharu's systems? To maybe seal the multi-function bays off and monitor her to see if anything enters?"

@Miyoko:

"Actually, I think the aft end of the multifunction bays is pretty much what's left of the main hull aside from the starboard wingpod... which miraculously appears to have structurally survived." Hoshi answered. "I've no data on the area, though. The damage was at least significant enough to disrupt hard network lines."

Watching the enemy go by Nyton coolly maneuvered around his environment. The enemy was none the wiser to their presence. It seemed as though they were going to accomplish the impossible. There we go. Easy does it. Smooth and steady all the way to Melisson's chamber. Let's see if she could ever imagine getting paid a visit like this. he thought.

Yukari was increasingly unable to focus on their surroundings, letting the armor do that for her. Her skin was that of a Neko, but her mind still registered the slimy feel of the insert.

Close to the front of the triangle of personnel, she was could not see in front of her without using Asher's visual feed.

Being the hub of the various armors gave her insight into how the others were faring. Nyton's heartrate and "brain" registered low levels of activity, implying he remained calm, which was typical. Rin's "heart" rate was up, with activity in her mind focused on areas that suggested anguish. Asher's mind buzzed, but his heartrate was almost as low as Nyton's.

They were closing on 20 meters to the elevator.

The feeling that Yuzuki was getting now wasn't much different from the feeling she had acquired in the engine room - except, instead of staring diligently at a view screen or three, she was attempting to make the eyes in the back of her head work properly. It worked, but being able to see in all directions did nothing to allieviate her nerves. She was a Heisho, but an engineering Heisho. This was her first time in a real powered armor. Instinctively, she didn't want to fuck it up.

What few words came over the comm. channel may as well have been above her head. She listened to them, but this wasn't her show to run, and her comments couldn't possibly be helpful. So instead, she simply manuvered around with the rest, held her breath, and made double-sure she wasn't clenching the trigger too tightly.

That wouldn't be a good experiance.

Kai continued to watch his surroundings, but the need for stealth was starting to wear on him already. His grip tightened and his muscles tensed, and he could almost feel himself sweating. they hadn't even gone far, exactly, in terms of how large this vessel was, but it was almost too much. Kai finally understood how Asher must feel all the time, and wondered how the Malifaran clone could stand being this silent and sneaky for this long. Realizing that he was thinking too hard about things, Kai Nakamura took a deep breath and focused his mind upon the path ahead. he needed to master himself before he was in combat, or he would make mistakes. Make mistakes like the Kai Nakamura that had died only an hour or so ago, leading to the current Yamataian. He did not want his own legacy to be that of a blunderous fool whom could not keep his own head.

Tom was pleased with Yukari's decision to continue moving. In his mind, they had avoided a potential crisis. The less the Mishu knew about anything outside of Hoshi, the better.

Tom kept his senses sharp as he continued with the others. He focused his attention on the surrounding area and looked for any telltale signs of their presence which could be picked up by the Mishu.

@black Knights:

The Black Knights' way was clear as inched their way up the tunnel to get in sight of the chamber in which Hinoto had advertised an elevator platform being present. Their only companions were the occasional worms and bugs that buzzed and crawled around the milky-coating of the tunnel.

All was well until one of the bugs over on the ceiling (at least in relation to the Knights' present orientation) decided that the other side of the tunnel looked more appealing and decided to swiftly drop down to the other side... only to smack itself against Nyton's right shoulder.

The smack was audible and it had everyone made a double take at the place where the half-stunned bug was scrabbling for purchase against 'something' invisible in midair.

Before anything could be done about it, Arethusa's right pauldron quickly warped, parts of it cresting up in a mix between a small tentacle and a bladed hook... and then snap, it nipped off the bug's head.

The thing fell off Nyton in two pieces to splash down the tunnel's bottom curdly coating. Before long, worms slithered over and started devouring the still twitching creature.
