The T-7 shuttle exterior had the look of being well used, there were weapon scores across the length of it. It also had what appeared to be NMX markings on it as well.

The interior however was standard SAOY. All of the consoles were in proper working fashion and as were the systems. As requested the KE-Z1 warhead was secured in the center of the shuttle by multiple restraints so that it remained suspended in the center of the passenger compartment and off the floor. The four infantry assigned to the mission were standing by in the shuttle, their extra gear stacked nearby.

Sekai stood in the door way to the shuttle, "Scrapyard, we rigged the shuttle systems to 'fake' a NMX ident. It should work for one time as long as no one is overly suspicious there. We did what we could to secure that warhead. I'd like to guarantee that it will stay in place, but that grav tube you're going to be flying is not exactly what the T7 was designed for.

Gook Luck." The chief said and stepped out of the way.

Anne put her rifle in the troop compartment and took off her booster pack. Then she walked into the cockpit to be second pilot to enyone who will be pilot, whether it will be Silic or Elisto. She hoped it would be Silic, even though he was a bit crazy, it would help with his confidence. Still it would matter a little compared to the importance of this mission.

"Good day," She said to the four infantry soldiers that joined them. "Glad to have you with us. I apologise for this crazy thing we thought off."

Elisto smiled, no... he grinned as he stepped into the shuttle and looked at the warhead. "Now this... this is how you knock on the NMX's door," the grin broadened a bit as he walked around it. "Eh, hopefully things stay attached and... well.. if worse comes to worse we'll deal with it then. Thank you Chief," he said to Sekai and then turned back toward the warhead. You baby will be our ticket to punch the NMX in the nose... he thought and then glanced over his shoulder. "Tin Man, you fly."

Tin Man himself was busy trying to adjust the helmet of his daisy to make it comfortable, his armored gauntlets awkwardly fiddling with his visor as he staggered around. Still grabbing his armored head, Silic turned to the other man.

"Wait, what?"

As the soldiers stood around, the pallet that the shuttle was on started moving to the launch bay. The technicians cleared out of the path of the craft. Meanwhile the Infantry set about to securing themselves in the available seats, taking ones as far from the warhead as possible.

The shuttle continued its movement forward and entered the launch bay. The Infantry sat watching the others of their team still standing. Outside the shuttle the yellow warning lights started flashing. Over the speakers in the shuttle. "Delivery Boy, you are next for launch. Bay doors will open in ten seconds."

Elisto smiled, folding his arms over his chest as he made certain that the rear doors were locked in place that his belt was - likewise - secured. "Better make sure you are ready Tin Man," grinned the operative who was - in a way - enjoying the way the man was acting.

When the shuttle ceased its movement there was an audible thunk, which was the sound of the clamps releasing the shuttle from its pallet. The launch bay slid smoothly down giving the occupants of the shuttle a stunning view of space looking towards the Saiki Nebula.

Over the speakers the Flight Chief's voice came. "Delivery Boy you are cleared for launch. Good luck."

Akemi continued moving slowly towards the entrance to the tube. She was mainly using directional thrusters to better position herself. "Okay close up folks, the shuttle is ready for launch. Once they do we enter, two second intervals. Kill your thrust as you enter and attitude controls only, do your best to stay centered. Once you clear the tube punch it and form on me. We will charge and fire at what ever is protecting the starbase as soon as we get a lock."

Silic's armored body stood somewhat shocked that anyone would still want him flying, but without complaint be made his awkward way towards the cockpit; armored head bonking off the top of the hatch thanks to the extra height of the suit.

Gingerly taking a seat he looked around the unfamiliar cockpit, hands hovering over the controls until he found a button that looked promising. His armored gauntlet pressed it, and promptly pushed right through it into the console. Nervously extracting his finger and twiddling his hand at the thought of what would happen when the ground crew found that.

He cleared his throat and took the controls in his hands instead.

"Uh, yeah, roger. Cleared for launch, roger." he replied to the flight chief.

The shuttle sputtered forwards a little in jerky, ungainly motions. Then took off out of the bay and became a sparkling dot in space within seconds.

Anne who seated herself next to Silic, opened visor of her helmet. She saw the way his hands shook a bit. The helashio's hand moved and settled on Silic's shoulder. "Don't worry, it will be fine." She said with a voice like honey and smiled at him. Anne was sure, that Silic indeed needed some assurance, that people trusted into him and his abilities and Anne did trust him. She juts had to let him know.

With that she turned back to her console, still looking to the side and giving him a smile every now and then. Her attention though was also given to the sensors, which were set to passive. Anne would not like to let enemy know, that Diamonds were coming, but she wanted to know as much as possible about what they were going into.

Silic tried to smile back, but his helmet was in the way. Instead, he focused on lining up the ship correctly. He wasn't looking forward to having to navigate through those gravity tube-things mentioned in the briefing.

Bloody space-time-thingy.

The aperture to the the tube appeared as angry pulsing maw on the sensors. Visually the tube was invisible until within 100 meters.

"Hold on to your butts, ladies and gentleman." Silic said as he turned the shuttle to enter the maw.

Silic's mouth twisted in uncertainty as the ship drifted towards the tube. Some saw it as an angry maw. Silic kinda saw it as something else that can't be put into print here.

"Here we go." He said, slowly pushing the throttle forward to ease the shuttle in.

Once the forward half of the shuttle was in, the entire craft surged forward with several g's of uncompensated acceleration. The Infantry in the back were held firm in their seats and watched as the package shifted slightly under the force.

The navigation system projected a flight path for Silic and supplied an approximation of the passage. Silic's metaphor took on a new meaning As the system showed a number of locations along the path that were barely wider than the shuttle. It would be a very tight fit in three places....

Elisto sat confidently in his seat, his arms folded over his chest and his mind focused on the mission at hand. He gave the jolt no mind but was quite aware that their shuttle was now out in space instead of being within the safety of the ship. Now let's see how long those idiots will be fooled....

Anne worked her own magics on the scanners, looking for anything that could be dangerous to the shuttle. Like mains, she looked for the special signature that phase mines left sometimes and also for leftover torpedoes. It was not hard to leave torpedo in the space, having its passive scanners on and programmed to activate itself and fly at anything that was not recognized. If there would be something like that, Anne wanted to know. Problem was that Anne herself could not use active scanners, stealth was important for this mission after all.

There was a fair amount of debris floating around the NMX shipyard. Some of it looked like pieces of NMX craft and one large piece looked like one of the engine nacelles from the damaged Tenba. The fighters attacking the NMX warship were clearly visible between their Aether trails and their weapon fire.

Around the shipyard things were quiet.

As the shuttle returned into real-space Silic looked around as if in surprise and then back to his controls.

"Okay, we're still alive...now what?" He asked, looking between the firefight going off on one wing, and the shipyard on the other.

The shipyard hung silent in space, the only indication it was active was the lights shining from various view ports. Although the light from the view ports would wink out from time to time. Not in a manner of someone turning lights off and on, but rather as if something was moving between the shuttle and the shipyard.

Silic leaned forward and peered at the window as though expecting it to reveal it's secrets with a mere foot or two of head movement.

"Is space meant to make things look like they're through a distorted glass lens?" Silic asked aloud to the rest of the shuttle.

Just to make sure he took a sleeve, or rather, the wrist of his armor, and wiped it against the view screen in front of him to try clearing it.
