My Character Is In An Inactive Thread

I've read the report on not starting new threads and such on the Destiny. I didn't see or notice anything relating to if a character has an existing thread that has ...ummm...stalled. Will that thread be deleted so the characters within can join and interact in main threads, or should a character write up a post that ties them to a larger thread?

just an inquiry,
Azalea

Have your character excuse herself from the old thread via an RP post and then show up in the new one, so story continuity is preserved.

This thread brought up something I'm not exactly sure on myself. What happens to characters trapped in a dead plot? Obviously this explained how to jump-ship on a dead thread, but is it possible to salvage characters as easily as this into a new plot? What sort of rules are based around that? Is it as simple as just re-applying for a new/active plot?

This is covered in the Player's Rights page, 'I have the right to take my character with me to another plot if I have problems with her current plot or its game master'. An inactive plot certainly qualifies.
