Title says it all. I like Sham better than Shammy. (Although I don't actually care which you use.)

I think making a new thread to cut two letters from a name is a bit much, but hey, whatever works.

The policy is so that all SARPers are aware when another user changes his/her name, instead of taking everyone by surprise, in the same way that a real-life name change requires a notice in the local newspaper.
