NC marine corps

NovaCorp has come to recognise the need for a greater military presence of its own, due to it's location and the current projects it is undertaking. As such, we are forming several battle groups of marines for our own protecton and the protection of other, smaller groups that may wish to use our facilities.

Marine battle groups will consist of five divisions of ten man squads (500 in all)

One squad will consist of:

"Shogun" Command Armor(1) - Command and squad-squad communications are handled by this marine. Standard armor and weaponry but sports a shield and communications hub.

"Ballista" Heavy Marine Armor(2) - boasts extremely thick armor, weaponry and shielding. The HMA is fire support and cover for the rest of the squad.

"Summoner" Combat Engineer(1) - Light armor, light weaponry and no shielding make this armor frail in comparison with the rest of the squad. The CE has a large "backpack" containing a number of fabricator beam devices(which rise up just over shoulder height when deployed). Able to build anything from a shield projector to a gun turret (provided there is enough source matter and it's on the preloaded list), a skilled engineer is an invaluable addition to a squad.

"Whisper" Inflitrator Armor(1) - This armor is simply a skin-tight suit with protective plating. It is coated in plasmonic shielding, making it invisible to the naked eye and to most electromagnetic sensor devices. The IA would not be much use in a firefight, but these soldiers carry long range and close combat weaponry - sniping or assasination.

"Gunslinger" Standard Marine Armor(5) - The SMA is an exoskeletal powered armor suit, sporting inbuilt weaponry, communications and sensor systems. As the most common armor in the NCMC some might expect it to be the weakest - not so. The SMA is the second strongest armor, equal in defensive and offensive capabilities to the CA (but without shielding) but still coming in below the HMA.

All marine armor suits have environment enhancements systems (supplies the wearer with breathable air, bearable temperatures up to a point and so on), detailed sensor readouts showing their user's mental and physical health and on demand stimulants and psychological state enhancing chemicals (aggression inhibitors/promoters etc.)
