Needed Designs

I was not suggesting I would outfit the thing expensively..I was actually thinking of downsizing it. Plus costs would be saved on crew support systems and so on.

Plus I was not suggesting it be used for the standard -scout- role but more for Stealth and recon...

But yes a more cost efficient drone would be much more appealing and was perhaps really what I was looking for out of this.

Maybe even more of a probe design and not using the hull types/things I mentioned before.
 

Exactly, maybe something that can be launched from the torpedo tube of a scout ship? OH! I'm totally going to design to design a probe that can be launched from a Yui-6 torpedo tube! Muwa! Excellent! Something with different module loadouts for the mission, maybe. Or if it's cost effective a multi-suite.

Yes, both ships use 24-inch diameter torpedo tubes (Type 26 and Type 27, respectively). The Chibi-Megami sensor probe on the Yui 5 is an enlarged version of the 21-inch-diameter version used on the Yui 4 class of starships (which use Type 22 torpedo tubes).

Range of unidrectional/omnidirectional sensors on the 21" version (Yui 4) is 10/5 LY and the range of the 24" version (Yui 5 and 6) is 25/10 LY.
 
Is there a reason why this is not a sticky? There isn't much point of a thread saying what needs to be made if it's stuck on the second page where no-one ever looks. I realise by posting on it I've moved it to the second page ... but that's beside the point.

The idea of this thread was a good one, and I've noticed that Wes has updated the needed designs in November, so perhaps the responses could be culled a little to allow easier responding, (getting rid of the responses that no-longer mean anything), or another thread of the same basic idea, but with the new requirements is made.

The simplest would just be to sticky it. Knowing what needs to be made must be known!

My apologies for resurrecting the past.
 
It was unstickied because it was no longer relevant, since pretty much all of the needed designs were worked on.
