So the Kegbuster was an important part of the Nepleslian arsenal for armored units, but that doesn't exist anymore. So this is a replacement for it, using the virtual barrel technology from other new NAM railguns to actually lighten and shorten the barrel enough to fire a 105mm round.

Suggestion: Make the tripod a robot, which happens to be in the correct scale of the weapon. The robot would be pretty basic, basically a walking tripod with enough AI to follow the soldier around on various terrains and to work with a viewfinder on the soldier's weapon so the soldier can aim at stuff and this robot will shoot the selected target for him.
 
That could technically work. Though personally I'd prefer if it was on something heavy, and not too fast, for logistic purposes, so it's not 'easy' to move about.
 
I mean, I got rid of the infantry element. I never wanted this to be used by unarmored infantry in the first place.
