Neshaten Information Network [NIN] Alert: Inbound Asteroid to Levia

Stars flew by the screen as Levia came into view; the scene then spun around for a second before whatever was moving slowed down. A Daur Anchor who had gold fur and was wearing a blue business suit was glancing out the window.

In the distance, there were dozens of blowing purple spots that were moving away from the planet. “Good morning to my fellow Neshaten,” the woman started, turning her gaze away from the window and toward the camera. “My name is Hi’kara, and I’ll be your anchor for tonight.”

The women stared into the camera, as an inset image appeared on the lower left of the screen and showed space with the disappearing purple lights. “Just fifteen minutes ago, the military dispatched the First Fleet to intercept an asteroid that is headed for Levia. We don’t have to many details on what is going on though, we don’t know how it got past the star systems sensor ring.”

On the inset image, faint explosions could barely be seen in the distance. “We don’t know what the defense fleet has in mind, but we have also been informed that all civilians on Levia are to seek shelter in the nearest bunker.”

Hi’kara stopped briefly to listen to someone in her ear-piece, while the image that showed her suddenly faded out to show the battle going on with the asteroid. The image flickered several times, shifting into completely white noise before coming back. In the image, a group of She’tan’ora vessels grouped together and began to move ahead of the asteroid, before coming about and opening fire.

As time passed, the footage showed several of the She’tan’ora vessels being destroyed, but the angle of the camera made it appear that the ships had actually crashed into the asteroid. Soon, one of the She’tan’ora’s suffered an explosion along its underside, causing the ship to shudder from side to side as it continued to fire.

“Hi’kara back,” said Hi’kara as the image faded back out and to her. “We’ve just been informed that the military has authorized the use of nuclear weapons, unfortunately we’ll need to power down things here for a few minutes, we’ll return in a few…
