What should've been a day of remembrance and celebration, turned into a day of fear when six Laibe from the infamious Netrunu'marol were arrested for the attempted bombing of the capitals Space Elevator.
Reports indicate that during celebrations and a fireworks display, six Laibe stole their way into the elevators primary support chamber and planted bombs on four of it's eight main support structures. However, when the group attempted to blow their explosives, nothing happened - instead alarms went off, alerting the complex's local security forces to the breach.
Complex officials have refused comment on 'why' the explosives didn't detonate. Speculations abounds that the explosives may have been sabotaged by government agents, or that it's possible the remote signal may have been blocked.
What is known is that none of the citizens outside watching the fireworks even knew this had gone on until days later.
Currently, the Monarch has opened an investigation into how the terrorist got into what is considered one of the complex's most heavily secured areas.
