Build and Skin Colour: He has a stocky build designed for draft-labor with a decent amount of muscle from his initial training and from basketball and track. His skin is lightly tanned from the hours spent outside when he was younger.
Facial Features and Eye Colour: Ryszard's facial features are far from the Asian appearances of most others in Yamatai, having a more north-eastern European appearance in structure. His eyes however are the same as they were when he was a Gershin, a soft, lavender color.
Hair Colour and Style: His hair is of a silvery shade of blue, another similarity to his old Gershin body that is now a Yamataian body, his hair is kept short and clean cut. It is parted in the middle and is only allowed to grow out at most three inches.

Distinguishing Features: He has facial hair in a style known as a van dyke. It is in short, a goatee and moustache that is connected around the mouth. It is kept clean cut and the rest of his face is clean shaven.

Psychological Characteristics

Personality:
Ryszard is a kind and fairly easy going person, however he has a great respect for traditions, especially those that are not his own. He goes out of his way to help others, so long as it does not conflict with his duties which he places higher than most things in his life so long as it does not appear to be wrong or foolish. He is aware of his limitations and that there is much he has yet to learn, and is quick to apologize.

Likes: Archery, Machines, Friends, Books
Dislikes: Being stuck sitting around doing nothing, he also has a great distaste for alcohol as well as certain cutsy plushies or dolls.
Goals: To possibly command his own ship one day

History

Ryszard was originally a Gershin when he was born. His life was simple and easy, spent with a goal of becoming an officer one day in the Yamataian Star Army. He had plenty of friends, being shy but sociable once he opens up. His schooling while being rigid, was still loose enough to foster personal development through play and interactions with others his age. He went to dances, he even played sports, all so long as he kept his grades up. Eventually he was accepted into a Military Academy for his secondary education, which led to him being trained in the operations and techonology of starships and Kessaku OS. In addition he was given basic training as all enlisted officers of the Yamataian Star Army. His grades were not those of the top of his class, however they were enough for him to continue easily in whatever direction at the Academy that he desired, which was to be trained to be placed on the bridge of a Starship. Druing all of this, Ryszard went through the process to transfer from his birth body to that of a Yamataian body when it became available for him to do such. This allowed him to keep up better with the Nekovalkyrja. His future post graduation is to be determined.

Skills

Communication: Ryszard is familiar with basic radio operation and procedures and can make transmissions to and receive transmissions from other characters through headsets, starships, power armor, and shuttles in both combat and non-combat conditions. Ryszard is fluent in English. He can speak and write both correctly and efficiently and can write reports, fill forms, issue orders under fire, etc.

Fighting: Ryszard received hand-to-hand combat training, followed up with a rigorous training program. He is skilled and experienced in combat both in Yamatai-like conditions and in zero-gravity, with and without weapons. Weapons he is trained in include energy pistols, energy rifles, grenades, knives, and power armor. During his primary schooling, and beyond into secondary he participated in Archery, both sport and mock hunting.

Technology Operation: Ryszard is capable of operating any computer system that uses the Kessaku OS, found on all Star Army starships. He is proficient in entering and/or searching for information.

Mathematics: Ryszard received basic mathematics training, to including up to algebra and trigonometry.

Starship Operations: Ryszard has received enough training in the day to day and combat operations of Yamataian starships to be classified as competent for active duty. This includes navigation, stellar cartography and astrometics, and Yamataian Starship weapons targeting systems. All of this was so that he could operate as bridge personnel on a Yamataian Starship.

Knowledge: With the family's ultimate goal for Ryszard being that of an officer, he was schooled early on in the important information for a possible future officer. This included the History and Laws of the Star Army. However this is still an area he is studying in his free time to better improve his knowledge of a difficult category.

Physical: He was an active child, and this continued right up through to his primary and secondary schooling. He participated in basketball and track, fostering a quickness of the body while he worked in classes and at home to quicken his mind as well. Part of family tradition, he took up in middle school archery, which became a great way for him to relieve stress when he had a chance too. This archery continued on through high school, and beyond whenever he had an opportunity.

OOC Notes

I do not know where he is assigned as of yet.

Approved

I saw some verb tense problems here and there... but this was a very decent entry.

Is there any ship you'd like to serve on? Have you looked them over? (For Yamatai; it's the Miharu, the Sakura and the Goban/Adauchi).

No particular preference, but I can do the Sakura being WELL over 18 (24 in fact)

I tend to have the verbage issue, brain likes to switch tracks randomly (ADD is FUN with english!)

All three plotships are working pretty well thus far. While the Miharu supposedly should have restricted access, I'm in a situation where I can easily pick a couple of new characters just by rescuing people off a crippled ship (which I will do soon). The Sakura has a fairly small, very social crew and the Adauchi (part of the Goban plot), while a small ship, might be able to add a person to it - depending on Doshii Jun.

I know having a starship operator on the Miharu would allow either for Nyton or Yukari do go and do something else (like lead power armors or pilot a fighter) if they wanted or allow Miyoko (our science specialist) to do medlab or science lab duty instead of bridge duty. I admit that so far, though, my NPC neko starship operator Mara doesn't seem to have a whole lot to do.

The Sakura, on the other hand, seems to be roomy at the moment tyo me... seeing theat some players were cycled out. You might want to check that up with Wes.

Doshii Jun, I think, can speak for himself about the Goban plot.

One of the sought after trait I think we GMs are looking for is player presence consistancy. You know: a player that can stick around and post instead of randomly coming around and posting halfhazardly.

Well, I'll take whatever I can get, and if there isn't much going on then I'll improvise and try to find something for my character to do while idle -shrugs-

Seems I chose an interesting time to return to Yamatai.

In regards to player presence I am desperately hoping I will be able to keep up an active presence, Single Post probably would be best since I won't be leaving work until well, 5:30pm PST most nights ^^;;

The Sakura is JP heavy. The Miharu and Goban are strongly SP with JPs when players can manage... which is rarely.

-nods- probably the SP ones would be the best bets...although I enjoyed the JPs I've been part off...My schedule as it is, is open until Jan 5th, then it's up to what hours my employer wants me to work, never later than 5:30pm PST (plus give 45-60 minutes for transit time home, dinner and cleaning)\

I also swear I will have a long conference with the college president and my advisor if I end up with night classes again as the only option to continue my degree >_<

Then why not go and read up on them until you're ready to approach and GM and ask to be added in once you are ready?

Besides, I don't think the Goban and Miharu are boring reads XD

^^;; I make it a habit to not read information that my character would not be privy to, prevents accidental use of OOC knowledge ICly...

I've had that happen to me before so...yea...

I've already PMed Kotori, and unless there is a NEED on a specific plot ship for Bridge Personnel, then I'll go with the Miharu.
