Nepleslian News Network [NNN] Breaking News - Nepleslian Admiral Held Hostage

Last night, a Nepleslian Navy Admiral has been taken hostage by armed gunmen while at dinner in his brother's home. It is unclear what their purpose or demands are. However, Nepleslian security forces have surrounded the house, located in a suburb outside of Prime City.

The hostages have been identified as Rear Admiral Dominic Valken, Mr and Mrs. Brian Valken and their 3 year old daughter, Hillary.

The incident was discovered by Robert Downing, the postman, as he was delivering their morning mail and shots were fired at him. Downing took cover and returned fire with his pistol sidearm. He was only forced to call the police when the gunmen began using hand grenades. Neighbors attempted to storm the house but were repelled by heavy automatic fire.

Prime City police and S.W.A.T. units have surrounded the house and are attempting to negotiate, with lethal force if necessary. An unnamed police source, speaking on the condition of anonymity, has said that they have been advised to hold off an assault until the military has assessed the situation and the Premier has been informed that Admiral Valken is being held.

Dominic Valken is in charge of Nepleslia's 4th Armored Assault, Strike Pursuit (AASP) Fleet and privy to some of Nepleslia's closely guarded secrets. In an interview given a month ago, Admiral Valken admitted to knowing how the Premier enjoyed his eggs prepared for breakfast. It is speculated by hostage crises experts that the gunmen are probably torturing the Admiral right now. Hopefully, he doesn't give in too quickly. With such secrets at stake, NNN will be covering this story as it unfolds.

Exciting news! Nepleslian military forces have begun a multiple entry assault on the besieged house! Marines from the 4th Fleet, inserted by helicopter onto the roof, rappelled into the house while others blew a hole in the side wall of the house.

A staccato of gunfire can be heard as well as lots of yelling. It is simply incredible to watch the Marines make such a violent entry.

This high-intensity siege has come to an end with the NSMC victorious. Nine of the hostage takers have been confirmed killed and three have been taken prisoner, including the ringleader, one Theodore Boobinsnatch. A candid statement made by the Admiral blamed "those damned Paragon bastards," seemingly a confirmation that former Paragon agents were responsible for this act of terrorism.

It has been revealed to NNN that Boobinsnatch had demanded 6 billion DA, the schematics for several warships designed by NAM, and safe passage to Gartaga. These demands were rejected by the government and the Marines were sent in.

NNN has confirmed that the Marines have suffered no casualties and only minor injuries. All of the hostages were rescued safely, including the three year old girl, Hillary, who had been tied to her bed and gagged to stop her from screaming loudly. All four of the hostages, Admiral, Mr., Mrs. and Ms. Valken have been admitted to Prime City General Hospital for treatment. Members of the secretive IPG have begun examining the house, interrogating the prisoners and debriefing the former hostages.
