The Nepleslian news program had begun just like most of the others, very fancy and expensive looking visuals flash across the screen and some tasteful Aethersperm music played in the background as female dancers danced in the background to the steady tone of the anchor woman listing the news stories of the day. The top story being the Government’s recently announced Nepleslian expansion program.
Though her voice may not have been the most captivating sounds that the audience could hear, her low cut white shirt and ample bust line was helping keep the show’s ratings up. Long blonde hair and blue eyes paired with a professional makeup job wasn’t hurting either. The news station knew what the viewers wanted to see when they heard their news.

“According to the official government press release we just recently received, this intended project is the largest expansion plan proposed for Nepleslia in its short history. Ten new star systems will be flying the Nepleslian flag by the end of the day, with resourcing projects soon to follow. Survey operations have already begun and a fleet of government resourcing ships are planned to be finished before the end of the week. Nepleslian material companies such as Tennerman-Yandle Metalworks, Price Resource Incorporated and Vinross Yu-Cranker Materials are also heavily involved in the resourcing operations that will take place in the colonial expanse.”
The image cuts to a wide shot of an incredibly impressive view of a massive Nepleslian fleet consisting of the 1st Assault Fleet and the Logistics Fleet of the Democratic Imperium of Nepleslia, as well as a number of 3rd party corporation vessels adjoining the massive government fleets. Patriotic music is played during the short viewing of the series of images, cutting from clusters of ship in hopes to gives a sense of national pride to those viewing the new station. Although most of the images were predominately military in nature, those observant enough could see that the number of non-military vessels was a bit more pronounced in their count. After a minute or so of these images, the screen cut back to the attractive news anchor.
