NPC confusion

I'm making an independent Nepleslian who's a mercenary trained the old-fashioned and hard way. He'll be searching for his missing teammates that he once regarded his "family" throughout his life...alongside a severely corrupted Neko-slave he once captured/salvaged after another successful demolition on an uncharted.... I got carried away.

Anyway the point is how do/should I work NPC's? Because I'm having trouble figuring out the NPC system actually.

Although I might...nah.

If you're in a plot, NPCs would be controlled by your plot's game master.

Well, it sounds like your going to solo RP the entire game, I'd advise not having any major NPC's if you plan to join plots, unless you know someone who will do Bounty Hunter one shots.

Now if your going to make your OWN plot that is a different story, though I'd advise joining one of the plot's around here before doing so, ya know to get a grip of the setting.
