Notably Possible News [NPN] Gartagens Give Neko 'Sandy Fish'

By Dirk Piven
Health Reporter, Nepleslia Prime News

Neko might be putting a certain crusty treat from the arid, post-apocalyptic homeworld of the Gartagen people on their tables, says a YSE Department of Commerce and Trade insider.

Known as 'Dust Trout', the desert-dwelling arthropod possesses many qualities that Yamataians and especially Nekovalkyrja cannot get enough of- namely a pungent smell, juicy and salty-tasting flesh and a fatty, slightly filmy texture not unlike the many other fish that the aforementioned species cannot keep their mouths away from. The inside has been alternatively described as pink or red, spongy and wet to the touch, while the outside varies in colors from pale pinks to darker, hirsuite browns.

Current information on the potential place the 'thing which is a fish but not' will have in the marketplace, but several Neko correspondents have confirmed a strong desire to split the fish open to taste their insides, intent to sample all the possible flavors it has to offer.

In spite of the strong showing in Yamatai, few Nepleslians are eager to indulge in the strange fish. When questioned, a certain majority of readers stated they 'couldn't put their finger on it' and had worries about the arthropod's diet, which consisted mainly of bugs and 'something which resembles a mushroom-headed, hairless rat'. Others stated the difficulty in finding a good marketing name for it, with many failed examples such as 'crust salmon', 'dry tuna' and 'smelly eel'.

It is unknown if it will become a viable product for sale in the Democratic Imperium, and the trade commission on Nepleslia Prime has withheld commentary at this time.
