In Nishitama today, several protests were broken up by small bands of Nekovalkyrja. Type 27 and 28 NSPs were the primary weapons used, smuggled out of the SAoY. A few Type 28 Nekovalkyrja Submachineguns were found, though thankfully none were successfully used. As a consequence, arms sales in Nishitama increased by 217% compared to the average. Notable firearms being purchased are the Type 28C/C type for civilian use and the GP-12 Phased Pulse Rifle.
It is reported to have been a very minor event compared to how bad it could have been, however. There are reports that a fair number of Nekovalkyrja were suspected when they attempted to enter public buildings with newly installed scanning technology. When followed or stopped, they were revealed to have been NH-17 models which were armed, but could not pass through the scanning systems for fear of triggering the anti-capture self-termination technology used in the obsolete model. In three cases, the NH-17 units were subdued in shootouts, and in five others they were stunned and placed in stasis in an undisclosed location.
Most of the Nekos involved in the plot are among those who escaped the attacked police station, and those who talk have spoken of the 'Tachibana clan'. This further connects the criminal Nekovalkyrja to the events surrounding the bombing, as the captured Nekos which escaped hailed from a stolen ship of the same name.
