In light of the attack on Yamatai, the city-ship of Nishitama orbiting the KMS is on high alert, not only against efforts at attack and infiltration, but also from vigilantism against perceived threats. The situation at Nishitama intensified earlier when Yamatai National Police and forces defined only as 'contractors' began to enter the underdecks of the city ship, well below the population, to flush out personnel related to the Tachibana Incident. Thus far, they've met with resistance from some Impulse Power Armor, and what appear to be black variants of the Mindy in various degrees of repair. Some of the combat has spilled back out into the city's subway system.
SAoY forces have thus far respected the wishes of the YNP and kept from being involved directly, though hacking attacks on the Mindy units are being attempted. Civilians are advised to stay in their homes, and the subway system has been shut down. Unfortunately, some civilians with military records have instead elected to arm themselves and take their chances in combat.
It should be noted that Acting Mayor Daidaiiro is unavailable for comment, and some suspect that she has been captured or killed. We will broadcast more as it develops.
