The screen remained black, before the planetary banner of Khorsovarolor faded into view, waving in a breeze. Gillian Manufacturing's logo appeared superimposed over the flag before the image faded to reveal Terry Gillian standing behind a podium erected in front of a blue curtain.
"We have just received word of an incident on our doorstep on the moon of Halna. While we will not confirm or deny the rumors that are even now spreading the office of the General-Secretary has authorized me to extend the olive branch.
"As of now thirty of our large transports are en route to the moon carrying supplies and materials to assist in whatever rebuilding efforts are necessary; at the same time they will be loading refugees for transport to Khorsovarolor where they may remain as long as they wish.
"The time for fighting is past; we must now show ourselves capable of wielding the olive branch as effectively as the sword."
