SUBLIMEinal said:Alright, since we're pretty much violently incompetent at assigning orders posts in anything approaching a timely fashion, I'm not going to have the newbies sitting around for weeks while the GMs neglect this forum. I'm guilty of it as well.
From now on, new Players who need placement, just send a PM to the GMs of the plots you're interested in to get in on the RP. That would be MoonMan for Cirrus Station and Exhack for the NSS Acadia. To the guys who've sat in here forever, I sincerely apologize for the inconcenience.

Character's Full Name: Herschel Romulus Porter
Character's Rank: CtR. Technical Sentry
Character's Species: Nepleslian
Current Commanding Officer: Mitchell Flin (or whomever he can pass him off on)
Current Location/Assignment: Rok'veru
Current Position: N/A
Primary Skill Areas: Engineering, Maintenance and Repair, Survival
Officer's Notes: Like most technically minded recruits, Herchel has an inventive personality. While this is quite beneficial when there is a problem to be worked on, it also leads them to find new and creative ways "around" the rules. The time between graduation and assignment is particularly dangerous as it involves an indeterminate amount of free time following the toughest exam problems.
Thus, for recruits like Cadet Porter, there is the "final final test." They are given their gear and released into the wilds of Rok'veru. Compared to the harsher conditions of training, survival in this area is "easy." Their main obstacle is the nearby IPG base.
The base is aware of the recruits thanks to tracking devices in their clothes and blood stream. The guards are allowed to speak with them, so the recruits don't lack human companionship for untold months, but they are only to refer to the base as "secret" or "classified." Attempting to sneak into (or hack into) the base will result in them being treated like any other intruder...
"Curiosity Killed the Cat," as the saying goes. The base is a great curiosity, but an unnecessary risk. Any cadet without the survival instincts to ignore it and work on the simpler problems of maintaining base camp deserves to be removed from service before they blow themselves up "experimenting."
Currently Herschel is working on crop irrigation and a sequel to his hit hentai novel "The General's Daughter." The guards that have made the hike to his "camp" give it rave reviews for violence, nudity, and a "delciously cruel instructor." He has yet to show interest in moving closer to the "secret base."
