For Reviewers:
Contains Unapproved Sub-Articles? No
Contains New art? Yes
Previously Submitted? No
Notes: I keep putting it off, I really need to submit this and get it out of the way so I can work on other stuff. Sure the battle management array thing could be its own article but it isn't that important for an NPC ship. As it is I think the article does everything I need it to do. It establishes that this Elysian ship is big and futuristic looking compared to other ships in the setting. Its really big, but on the inside there really isn't a whole lot going on. And finally: It has a really wordy name which is something the faction loves.
The Elysians had this stuff back during the Elysian wars though. Transposition cannons and the like were common back then and Elysia was sorta the more technologically advanced nation. Yamatai stole ST tech from them.
Or is there a miscommunication here? That line in the article is specifically referring to the ASC mode on the other article, not some new shotgun-effect mode.
That is to say if it's a problem on the BMA article and not the ship article I can remove that text from the BMA article and leave the ship stuff in place.
Transposition cannons and the like were common back then and Elysia was sorta the more technologically advanced nation. Yamatai stole ST tech from them.
Technologically advanced in some areas, yes - but not all of them. Elysia, for instance, has never been capable of creating anything like an aether shock array.
As for frost: not all Elysian ships had all Elysian tech on them. ASCs aren't a difficult to produce technology either, and scalar tech was all over the place during the last few elysian wars. Its just a stronger version of generic scalar weapons.
It's just a restricted tech, not a hard to create tech.
"...fire as an Aether Shock Cannon in a 15 degree arc..."
Can you change this to "...as an [[wiki link|aether shock cannon]] would in a 15 degree arc..." Just add the word would and link it so that it's not confusing.
Which Elysian ship(s) was this true for, then? As far as I know, the Thunderbolt-class Fast Attack Frigate, the Evangelist-class Cruiser, the Nariel-class Assault Battlecruiser, the Avenger-class Carrier, and the Rampart-class Fortress all had purely Elysian technology.
Then how come only Yamatai, the Nerimians, the Mishhuvurthyar, and (possibly) the Kuvexians have been able to produce them? Hell, why doesn't USO have them, then?
That's like saying a Civil War-era cannon is as easily creatable as an Iowa-class battleship's main gun. Both use similar technology, yes - but one is vastly more destructive (and complex/intricate/etc.) then the other.
(Apologies for the presence of typos/grammatical errors and the lack of links - I typed this on my phone.)
Not to be rude to @Ametheliana, but given that this submission contained technology from the Elysian Celestial Empire (as detailed here) and implies that it was present during the "older Elysian wars," it falls under my purview as the FM of Elysia - unless @Wes says otherwise - and I disapprove of this submission due to the fact that:
No ships of this type were ever constructed by the Elysian Celestial Empire.
The Fourth Great Elysian Empire does not have my permission to use any form of the Elysian Celestial Empire's technology in the past, present, or future.
This submission, in my opinion, is both incomplete and extremely overpowered in its current state.
Aether Shock Cannons are beyond the technological capacity of the Elysian Celestial Empire - and therefore are beyond the technological capacity of the 4th Great Elysian Empire, due to the latter's lesser population, resources, and overall R&D capabilities.
This submission was designed by an unapproved entity that does not exist within the setting.
The Fourth Great Elysian Empire does not have any shipyards and therefore cannot produce this submission even if it were to be approved.
