This is basically used to intercept and monitor transmissions in local space, yeah?
 
Well local and long range, EM transmissions tend to propagate forever afterall.

Is it pitch perfect or will there be interference?
 
Capabilities, size, effective range, and individual kinks will go on the actual sensor hardware articles. This article is like asking what sort of engine it is and linking them to the wikipedia article on gas turbine engines. If that makes sense?
