Personal transportation and robotic sidekicks

I'm creating a character who is a bounty hunter and I'm not sure what kind of ship they should own or if at all.

Also, can I create a type of robot assistant for the character? Like say, a small pod that follows them around and helps with various tasks such as maintenance and surveillance.

Maybe something like a Geshrinari Light Freighter? How would he afford it? (he could probably get one as low as a mere 10k KS, but characters are generally supposed to start with the standard 3k KS. Maybe he starts with a loan to pay off? That would work.

Droids/bots are cool but if it's not an existing one (like the "Steve" combat robot or the "Mobile Spanner" drone, you will have to get it approved in the NTSE forum. As long as the design is sensible this shouldn't be too much a of an issue.

The more important question is: How are you going to get roleplay out of this? It sounds like you're going to be working apart from the plot ships.

I got it. My character can work for various independent factions until she can afford her own ship. I know just the plot.
