I'm thinking it might be interesting to have a civilian ship, possibly a colony ship that had a military escort. This way, both Star Army and civilian characters would be welcome. In addition to the usual starship life, there would also be a city (the colony ship's interior) to go to and hang out in. Horizon City, Fenyar Cloud (on YSS Horizon) is kind of what I was envisioning. Like the Nozomi, the colony fleet would head out into deep space and meet new species and such.

Isn't the YSS Horizon owned by NovaCorp? I think I saw it on our fleet listing. I'm for it by the way, it sounds really good.

I'm sure Rob and I would be happy to listen to any ideas you have to do with a new colony ship exploring with civilians on board, and would likely be very open minded about anything regarding the YSS Horizon in this possible Plot Line. I'll do what I can to help :D
 
I was genuinely looking into this sort of plot. Did it actually occur? If so, what was it called/was it successful? I've been meaning to more properly attempt a shot at the Yamatai life (Dion is in slowville), but there's not really anything like this based on my digging in the current RP. It might also help the newer members for this sort of plot to occur and help identify Yamatai as more than just a military. Because (as someone who joined and still partially sees how it could happen) the majority of the plots are military-functioning to the degree that this sort of RP subject is left out, making the main faction of the site appeal to a somewhat smaller audience than it probably could achieve with a limelight for both aspects of life.
 
I think the closest thing was the YSS Destiny, which is the plot in which the Nepleslian revolution/independence occurred.

It's still a solid RP idea.
 
If it's still solid, I guess maybe a reboot/renewal for the plot idea could be useful. Give some new flavor... or old flavor. Whatever =3=
