Commander's Log said:
Attending the launch of a newly built ship is something I have never had the honor of doing until this moment. A shame Yuriko was not here to enjoy it with me; Chiharu I pray for her safety wherever her and the Asamoya are.

The Plumeria Class is truly an embodiment of the future I strive to achieve for SAINT. She is efficient, powerful, graceful but is capable of hiding herself in the shadows; a place that I believe to be my element.

Thankfully, I am not here to be a diplomat or a politician. It is my job to go about things more surgically. I have no longer the use for the praise given to officers in the fleets; I would rather my work go unnoticed. The only thanks I need is my own. They can save the medals for those who want the burdens that come with them.

I am heading towards Pisces, to pick up my crew and to touch base with an old friend.

The Yuurei soared from Gemini's staging area, engaging her fold drives once they were clear of the gravitational disturbances of the central system.

As the ship headed towards Pisces, Misato explored the empty ship; having declined the production of any sprites as of yet.

Vigilance of the Ghost ...The vigil begins.

Pisces Station, International Relations Conference in Session

The Yuurei approached the Star Fortress at alarming speed, the gunship swept passed the outer docking arms, maneuvering around the already docked ships on Concourse A, coming into the slot next to the Nadeshiko.

Once the moorings were secured, Misato summoned Creighton to the ship, ordering him to meet her on the bridge. She had never met the operative face to face, their discussions having been over communications channels only until this point. She had extracted all she could from the short list of official and unofficial records attached to his name.

Creighton marks, the YSS Yuurei has docked and Director Motoyoshi awaits you onboard. Please proceed to the bridge immediately.

Already on Concourse A, Creighton had been waiting for a report on his employer, pacing up and down the long corridors. For all he knew it could have been multiple individuals or even the Empress herself. He was considering his options about what was going to happen when the call came out for him to report.

Director Motoyoshi? Well I should have know it would have been someone from the clan. He thought as he made his way back down the corridor to where the recently docked ship had come to rest. After a very brief identification by the ship, Creighton was allowed aboard and was shown to the bridge.

Straightening himself as best he could, Creighton strode into the bridge. Not sure of what to expect next, he did his best to remain alert and attentive. "Director Motoyoshi." Creighton stated calmly as he entered, an attempt to greet his boss.

The cold green eyes of Misato befell the visage of Creighton for the first time. Standing up from the desk-like station at the center of the bridge, she approached him. "Black Nova serves fine...or Misato. For all intensive purposes we don't exist, unlikely there is going to be any review of our ability to chime off ranks or other such nonsense. How would you like me to address you, Mr. Marks?"

Her black paneled skirt uniform fit her petite form well, clinging to what little curves she had and accented them. Her light sky blue hair was cut short, her bangs framing her face likely making her look even more youthful than she was, all were deceiving; fancy masks for the bitch beneath.

"Motoyoshi Misato..." Creighton started, it was coming to him of just who he was standing before. He heard of the name and the position, and to some degree its duties back in the Fifth. "I see, Misato." Creighton responded after a moment of compiling his thoughts. He attempted to gather as much as he could from her outward appearance. And to him, she certain was pleasant on the eyes.

Looking into her eyes, Creighton began again. "If you wish to go by a first name basis, you may call me Creighton. But as it stands I do not think I am in a position to control that." Creighton found it difficult to become comfortable around her, but from her introduction he didn't seem to find a valid reason to it. "But I do hope our opportunity to work together proves fruitful."

Creighton stopped short of asking any questions in his mind. He knew in due time he would get his answers. Waiting for a response from Misato he watched her with the same neutral look that he was use to.

Misato said, "Creighton it is then." She had the Yuurei open a volumetric projection infront of the central command station on the bridge. Two pictures with some demographic data populated side by side, one of Chujo Mitsuya Ember, and the other of Sky Marshall Davis. "These two appear to have an interesting connection; according to PANTHEON recordings when the Sky Marshall visited Hotaru Star Fortress." Misato stretched, relieving the kinks in her back. "The Empress thinks this connection could be a possible venue to bring some peace between us and Nepleslia. Our job, is going to be a tough one. It is to see too it these two run into each other again, and to hopefully encourage some kind of genuine relationship to bloom between them."

Crieghton received a text-only message from the Conference Area security detail, marked 'urgent.'

Kuroaki Isuzu said:
Commander, we have received a direct order from Star Army Military Command to arrest the Mishhuvurthyar representative, Eyfrlurpjakar Melisson. The order was issued in accordance with a recently issued warrant for her arrest (attached). Proceeding at this time with such actions may endanger the other conference attendees. Please advise.

The light blue trim lighting on the Yuurei's bridge began to flash, Misato was already in correspondence with MEGAMI and Pisce's KAMI. She looked to Creighton.

"The neighborhood just went to hell..." she sighed, having the Yuurei begin a continuously active scan pattern both on Pisces and on the surrounding space.

"I noticed." Creighton said as he finished tapping at his datapad after composing his message to security. With a sigh he pocketed it into his suit and crossed his arms. "Whoever gave that order certainly doesn't feel like keeping things civil. I'm having the VIPs returned to their ships and quarters for lockdown. Security is on high alert now."

Creighton then thrust his hands in his pants pockets and watched Misato work with a disappointed look. "What's our next move, Misato? I don't think anyone is going to react well to this."

Misato sighed, "Playing match maker has to wait...We need to lie low."

Yuurei disengage all moorings, move us away from the station and engage stealth mode.

The ship shuttered slightly as the docking mechanisms disengaged and the Gunship broke free, maneuvering under the docking arm and jetting away from the station. Seconds later the ship disappeared, its CFS pocketing it from detection.

"Sometimes, the best action is to sit and wait...."

"Uh..." Creighton began to protest but trailed off as the ship shuddered and cleared the station. He hoped the security aboard was ready to handle the task of securing everyone. And then who knew what to expect from Melisson. "Very well then." Was all he said as he took a seat at the science station.

Beginning to activate what he could Creighton began to ready the ship for unforeseen consequences. "You know, I had a sinking feeling that this was going to happen. Call it a gut reaction." He said as he brushed a bit of his dirty blond hair out of his face. "Well the past is done now, all we can do is hope-" But Creighton stopped at the word 'hope'. He had been doing that all this time and it had never gotten him or anyone anywhere. "Heh, hope. It's dead..." Creighton said quietly to himself as he continued to work.

Misato smirked, slipping into her command chair propping her feet up on the desk. "Least you understand that, once you move past the fact it is dead; you can realize how lovely it is when it's lifeless corpse is threaded onto the strings of peace and war that we can tug and pull to make it dance."

Several volumetric screens opened and closed, as Misato sifted through sensor data from Pisces. "Seems our dear Camellia is stuck over there for the time being..."

Creighton's face seemed to brighten as he laughed aloud at Misato's statement. "It's so simple and brilliant." He managed to get out after the laughter. "To think we've all danced to it so nicely. Thinking it might have finally come to a wonderful and happy ending."

Sitting back in his seat, he relaxed a bit as he let what information was displayed scroll by his station. Watching it he commented back to Misato, "Well we could have her meet up with Heion security. At least she'll be there for the Crown Prince."

Misato chewed on her bottom lip for a second, "Nah...Let the little bugger fend for himself. He is a big boy, he doesn't need to be babysat anymore. We will swing back and get her, once Melisson escapes or whatever."

Oooh this guy is gonna be a blast.

Creighton's pad beeped and buzzed slightly as a message apparently arrived for him.

Camellia Sarri said:
Creig? Where are you?

I arrived at the docking bay where that Ship you told me to get to was, but it's gone... Did I arrive too late?
...
A lot of weird crap's happening around here now. Nelpeslians in heavy armor are fanning out from their docking bay and there are security guards running around...
Creig, I'm scared, what's happening?!

Creighton felt confused for a moment, trying to verify in his head about who Misato was speaking, before realizing that she was referring to the Crown Prince. He cracked an unsure smile, not sure just how to react having just been on the Crown Prince's own security detail. "Heh, don't have much confidence in our own security? Well who wouldn't, this Isuzu was the only competent one I met down there."

Creighton twitched slightly as his datapad began its usual alerting method. Pulling it out and reading over the message. He couldn't help but feel some guilt for leaving Camellia down there. But a part of him was laughing at the whole situation.

Creighton Marks said:
Well would you like the long version or the short one? I spare you the details and say the conference hit a block and now this Melisson character is going to be 'apprehended'. And by that I mean she's going to cream anyone within a dozen feet of her. Best make for nearest escape pod, shuttle, or other method of getting off. We'll get you when things cool off.

Creighton was smirking as he wrote the message to Camellia. But he slowly began to feel more and more terrible at sending this message to her, trapped on that rapidly crumbling situation. He finished the message with the best response he could give.

Creighton Marks said:
I'm sorry. Try to hang on.

As the events unfolded on Pisces, Misato quickly sifted through the data that she felt was relevant. She said under her breath, completely within the limits of Creighton's hearing. "Panic...A disease of the weak, used to justify an unreasonable response to an unreasonable situation."

She isolated several bits of audio and visual data and strung them together:

File 499A said:
"I am Kurokawa Yasuko, Senator of Yamatai," she said forcefully. "Where is the SMX representative? I want to speak to her, considering the Motoyoshi won't."

Roxanne did not move.

"I refuse. I'm not evacuating anywhere because I'm not in any damn danger. I will, however, help you escort the representative."

Seeing the two senators stunned, though, Maysaki's brow twitched in a agitated way. "Leave them, you damn brutes... This SMG here was never meant for Melisson." She warned to them before pointing to the shuttle port they would take.

Misato saved the data, intending to go over it once they left Pisces.

Once the station was clear, Misato said to Creighton. "Lets go pick up Camellia and see about completing our objectives here. Get us back to our place on the docking arm."

Creighton sat quietly observing the situation slowly roll back together. He kept a hand over his datapad, as if waiting for a response from Camellia. But it seemed like the situation lockdowned and stabilized. Sighing inwardly Creighton hoped the mess wasn't going to be too much of a cleaning job.

He carefully rolled over Misato's comments just moments ago as he queued the ship to transfer pilot controls to his station. Panic. It can stem from fear, but it can also come from ill conceived notions. Creighton's mind wound around itself as he looked calmly at his console screen and began to pilot the Yuurei back towards the Pisces station and a close docking clamp within the Yamataian concourse.

"Well, we going to play matchmaker now? Or should we wait until more intel comes in." He remarked off handedly to Misato as he guided the ship. His maneuvers were no nonsense and professional making the flight in smooth.

Misato said, "Lets go find Camellia, then we will discuss how to proceed with our objective. We can't get at Davis anyway when the conference is in session."

She headed towards the airlock, expecting Creighton to catch up.

It had been an awkward several hours. Assuming she was busy with director work, he had stayed quiet as well and acclimated himself with the ship. The Plumeria's new design was impressive for such a small ship. However, Creighton preferred having his hands in control of the massive behemoths, like the Yugumo and the Heion. The smaller and lighter ships always made him feel vulnerable.

Misato's recent command was the first she said since Creighton asked about what to do next. Jarring him from a self-imposed trance, he took a moment to come to.

Handing off control of the ship to its own AI, Creighton quickly left the station he was seated at. The Yamataian jogged slightly to catch up with Misato, who already had a good head start. "Yes, ma'am. I'll send her a message telling her to meet us on the concourse."

Creighton eventually caught up with his boss and patiently waited for the airlock to cycle. "Let's hope that things will be quiet for a time. We could use a breath, even if it is bated."

Creighton Marks said:
Camellia,
Black Nova and myself will be on the Yamataian concourse on the station shortly. I hope you made it through fine. We're eager to meet with you.
