Caine smiled at her, stroking her hair gently as they both laid down in the bed,his arms still around her slender form. The blonde would hold Kiyoko close, still being gentle as always. Goodnight my dear He purred to her and soon drifted off as well. His habits may be like clockwork to her but he might make the effort to awaken earlier than usual.

Hope the others are doing all right with there new assignments Roken thought. As the ship docked with the Yūgumo, he decided to wait while the others left the transport he was not in any hurry. Roken needed to report to the commander of this ship.

It was his first time being aboard a command ship and he could not help but feel a little excited, maybe he would see some action during his service with the crew just as long as they have nothing against him being a Nepleslian. Roken figured it was late...or early he wasn't sure the hangar seemed a bit dark but his eye's had adjusted, I don't think ill be able to get any directions to the commander's office, Roken thought.

"Better get directions,â€

The soft voice of Yugumo chimed, "Techard-Nitô Hei, Welcome aboard. You are to be assigned to enlisted bunk twenty-five-A, along with Kigetsuki-Hei who has also just recently arrived. It is currently Oh-two-hundred hours, duty call will be at Oh-five-hundred, thirty. Report to the Shosa's ready room at that time along with Kigetsuki-Hei"

Yugumo lit panels accordingly to give the newly arrived crewmen directions to his assigned bunk.

The sprite half walked, half dragged Camellia's sorry drunk kester to her quarters, and with minor assistance, helped the tanked Chui into bed. With mumbled drunken thanks the sprite departed and Camellia promtly passed out again.

Just as Kishou left, the lights began to flash, causing Tesuro to shift his eyes around blindly. The moaning of the ship pierced into his mind, giving him a short, second long migraine. He grabbed his head with one hand, letting out and "Aughck!"

Looking ahead, he saw it; the headless armor--blood oozing out of it. Was his mind playing tricks on him? Was it just the pain in his head? Regardless of what it was, his soldier conditioning caused him to whip out his service pistol in both hands and point it toward where he saw the disturbing visage. His feet and body launched into an offensive position, followed by a quick jump back to near himself to Kishou.

Without turning to look at her, intent to keep his eyes upon where he saw the ghost, creature, or whatever it was, he responded, "I do not know, but whatever you saw, I saw it as well...shared hallucinations are rare, and I know neither of us are being influenced by narcotics. Stay ready, Kishou..."

His eyes glared ahead unwaveringly, his pistol still pointing out, ready to fire at a moment's notice. What it was though had gone, leaving behind only a putrid, sickening odor that burned Tesuro's nostrils. "Miss Kigetsuki...I'm coming with you to your quarters. I don't know what just happened, but I think it's important we stick close." he said with concern. His fascination with exploring the Arboretum had all but vanished now...

Xanatos felt sick from the shuttleride. He had never enjoyed the crampness of a Lion. He wasn't claustrophobic, but he sometimes got motion sickness... especially in shuttles and other small vehicles.

Grateful that he was finally aboard the YSS Yûgumo, or any ship for that matter, interest replaced his nausea. This was the first time that the technical sentry had ever been aboard anything larger than a transport ship. His deep, ocean blue eyes gazed at everything and anything in the hangar.

It was slightly darkened, so he couldn't see very much. "Hello?" he called out in his soft and quiet voice. Xanatos had been one of about a dozen people on aboard the shuttle. Most of them were nekovalkyrja, so he was too shy to ask for directions. He hoped that some sort of AI system was aboard to guide him. He would become completely lost on a ship this size!

Yugumo welcomed the next newly arrived crewman, "Xanatos Zarthe-Heisho, welcome to the YSS Yugumo. You have been assigned to enlisted bunk twenty-five-A; two of your other roommates have also recently arrived. Please attend a meeting with the Shosa at Oh-Five-Hundred-Thirty in her ready room, along with your comrades."

The appropriate panels were lit showing Xanatos the way to his assigned bunk. It was likely he would meet up with Kishou or Roken somewhere along the way.

Xanatos had jumped at the unexpected voice of AI system. He whispered thanks as he followed the lit panels towards his assigned bunk. I have two roommates? he thought to himself. Wonderful... He sighed softly as he continued to walk down the well-lit hall.

Tesuro followed Kishou all the way to her bunk, gun drawn cautiously the whole time, not wanting to take any chances. As she entered the room, he backed himself in, not taking his eyes off of the corridor lest they be greeted with another presense. He stayed at the entrance as his new acquaintance got settled in; she seemed so much more calm about the situation than he did, but he paid it no mind, and kept his gun drawn but now up near his head.

Glancing over at her, he watched as she set up the volumetric display from her communicator, and he followed suit. As she transferred her memory data into it, he quickly set up a wireless connection to receive the data himself. Now a bit more relaxed, he held his pistol at his side, approaching Kishou as she played the video.

Just as they had thought; a headless, standing corpse. Tesuro jumped a bit, but quickly regained his composure. He played the video back on his own communicator and paused it just at the short moment that it appeared, saving the image and seperating it from the video file. "Kishou..." he began. "We can't show this to anyone except the Shosa lest we cause some kind of panic. After your briefing with her tomorrow morning, call me in after the other new recruits leave so we can confront her about this. All right?"

Xanatos wandered along the hallway of lit panels. He could vaguely see someone near the entrance of what he believed to be his bunk. He didn't recognize the person of course, but he did recognize what appeared to be a sidearm in the person's hand. Xanatos cautiously approached the stranger. He could hear voices... it sounded like two people.

Roken had wandered a bit before heading back on the path to his room. That must be where my bunk is Roken thought. He saw the others and one of them was holding his side arm, Roken was not worried but decided to make his way to crew member heading for the bunk.

"So I'm guessing we are going to be roommates huh?â€

The recording on Kishou's communicated degraded quickly-within moments of her first playback. The file would still exist, but it would be blank.

Minor disruptions had become the talk of the ship however, from reports of a pink haired NH-17R walking thru walls, to environmentally controlled rooms flooded with the smell of Nepleslian whiskey. Something was awry, or so it seemed to Ritsuko as she manned the bridge alone, the chills of someone watching her despite her being alone-and Yugumo's reassurances. There was not to be done, especially being in holding around the Hotaru Star Fortress.

Ritsuko checked the time, 02:30hrs. She sighed, walking over to the operations table and checking the results of the diagnostic she had been running on the damage control system. The volumetric image of the Yugumo flickered, and in its place was a Kyoto Carrier, its starboard and forward sections blinking red.

What the hell? She tapped the console and the image returned to normal. Better run that diagnostic again. She then addressed Yugumo Yugumo, please initiate a high level diagnostic of your damage control systems.

Yugumo replied instantly, Hai Chui.

The words reverberated throughout his mind; Akira was a very perceptible sleeper, he was not the kind to go so deeply into sleep that one could creep up behind him and murder him while he dreamt of great power and control. His delicate lids of flesh fluttered ever-so slightly as his vivid emerald orbs stared out, looking into that darkness that enthralled the room. He was not exactly alert; but he was not dumb enough to not perceive the last of the words. Putting a hair through his silken lockes of midnight black, he rose, leaning up in his bed.

The blankets drifted slightly, exposing his chest; his dreams had been rather pleasent, and his sleep relaxing. This awakening however, had not been so; it was rather eerie; forbidden, ethereal. Or whatever other word one might think up to describe it. It was not telepathic, for the words had been faint echoes to him; not as if someone was actually talking to him personally. A lesser minded man or woman might have assumed someone was playing a telepathic trick: Akira however, was not of a lesser mind. Though he did look around the room as best he could, just to make sure some other concious being was up and about. He heard the mumbled ramblings of Ichiro, and then the shuffling of Kiyoe. What he did notice though; was the disappearence of that turquoise-mane. The color was a rather bright one, and something you could see even in the dark. Not that he was overly worried, but the thought of Tesuro did come to him.

A faint grin painted his lips now; those delicate orifices of elegantly colored flesh. Looking at his watch he noted the time, not too long before briefing; he had to get his duties with the Shosa in the morn as well. But while he was up, he may as well get dressed. Though not without a shower; without bothering to cover up, he rose; the air pinching at most of his almost completely bare body. Quiet footfalls leading him to the shower within their quarters, normally Akira might take a long luxurious shower, so he might enjoy the hot waters splashing upon his moistened skin. But today seemed rather odd, and he did not want to be found in a vulnerable spot; not by a ghostly illumination at least.

Removing his thong, he gracefully made his way into the shower, turning on the steaming waters: Just the way he liked it. Taking the soap he began to gently coat his body, softly rubbing the soft, wettening flesh. All the while the water was washing away the soap, cleaning his skin, never losing its rose-water complexion. Truly a beautiful peace he was; even his showering was beautiful. Though, to him, almost as suddenly he forced himself to leave that peaceful array.

Exitting the shower, her wrapped a towel around his lower half; not because he was prude, but because he respected the fact that if awake, Ichiro and Kiyoe might not want to see him in naked glory. As much as he wished he could wear another of his fabulous suits, or maybe even that gown he had purchased; wearing his uniform was probably in best interest. Maybe after the briefing he would ask the Shosa if it was barred against allowing males to wear the dress uniforms; they did look rather snazzy and even comfortable. He could pull it off. But for now the thought was in the back of his mind as he looked at his reflection within the mirror. He found his body to be something that suited him; not too muscular, but not shaggy. Though if truth be told, his face was one of his better qualities. Colored finely, hair that looked as if it was woven from the night itself; feminiely upturned eyebrows, painted to perfection. Lips thin, but prettily so; colored finely with splashes of a faintly rose red.

"Enough of that," he said to himself softly, melodically the tones his voice always took. And with that he slipped into his clothes, and quitely exited the room, leaning against the wall to the hallway for a moment, just to make sure no more of these voices would come about.

Xanatos was surprised for the second time in the same day. He had been concentrating on the armed stranger when the Nitô Hei had spoken to Xanatos. He had nearly jumped out of his boots upon hearing the voice of his subordinate. The white-haired Ittô Heisho caught his breath, however, and nodded silently as he watched Roken approach the stranger and the bunk entrance. He soon blinked and followed, a short distance behind... just in case.

Thee image flickered momentarily and then it died. Kishou inhaled sharply and fiddled with the buttons. As expected it didn't work. The file was there. It should play on command. The young neko tapped her fingers across the table. Containing the urge to take the machine apart and hotwire into action.

"Myarr...piece of junk!â€

Shock filled Tesuro's senses as Kishou's files faded away. While hardware failures were not unusual, they never happened in so simple a manner; something was not right. He checked his files again. The video played, but the image shown was an empty hallway, and the eerie moaning was replaced with Tesuro's pained shout. "Damn it!" he exclaimed, as he switched to the image file. It too had been altered--a simple picture of an empty hallway with no trace of the image before them. He knew this was no hardware failure or file corruption, and nobody could have tampered with both his and Kishou's files in such a quick instant. There was some supernatural occurence, and it shook Tesuro down to his bones. He now had no proof to provide to Kiyoko, yet he knew what he and Kishou had seen were real. Still, he knew that he could not say anything to Kiyoko pertaining to the situation as he risked making himself look not only to be a fool but possibly to be disturbed as well.

Seeing the two new recruits entering, he decided it was time to holster his pistol back into its place so as not to make anyone uneasy. A sigh of frustration escaped his lips as he put away his communicator, still horrified and confused. He turned to the Nepleslian and looked him up and down strangely. Hmm, you don't see many of them around anymore. he thought rather passively. He had no disdain for Nepleslians, he simply had not met them on many occasions and had difficulty sizing them up. Tesuro leaned forward, seeing Xanatos behind Roken he figured he would need to explain why he had his weapon out. "It was nothing. I thought I saw something, but it was nothing. However in this state of war, I suppose you can never be too cautious..." he said, lying to them about the apparition he had just seen.

He tapped his rank pin and introduced himself, still tense, "I'm Urameshi Tesuro, Santo Hei." Not waiting for them to respond, he began his way out, still talking, "We'll have to be better acquainted in the morning during the breifing, you two. Kishou, it was lovely meeting you, and I hope you sleep well despite the...thing. Any way, good night, good night, good night."

With a swiftness in his step, Tesuro darted out of the room, trying to assess everything that had transpired thus far. Surely the mysterious, bloody letters in the first breifing room were connected somehow. Though he knew not what significance those words had, they obviously hit the veteran members of the crew hard, reminding them of the army's failure to protect Taiie. But what had that to do with the headless apparition? At the time, he hadn't enough information to piece everything together--he knew only that there had been some sort of a disaster relating somehow to the destruction of Taiie. Tesuro questioned whether or not it was his business to snoop further into such a great occurence; something far beyond his scope of power or understanding. But he decided that if whatever force was at work found him worthy enough to reveal such a vision to him, that he had at least some authority to find out more. "I suppose I could ask..." he mumbled to himself. "If Kiyoko knows the meaning behind those words...perhaps she might also know the meaning behind what I have seen..."

As he returned to his enlisted commons, his head was tilted in thought. It was at that point he decided that after the briefing and departure, he would talk to Kiyoko privately about the matter. This was, of course, partially due to his curiosity surrounding the matter, as well as his desire to be alone with her. Tesuro hoped only that there even would be a spare moment of privacy between them, as the entire crew would obviously be very busy. He brushed that thought aside for the time being and lifted his head out of though, seeing Akira leaned against the hallway. Tesuro stopped, shocked and not able to hide anywhere, he simply stood and stared with his hand still at his chin.
